Jessica Jung has lived countless perfect days for all of her seventeen years of life. No crisis, no problem. After all that's how it's been in the District of Seoul.

Life has always been simple, as long as you follow the rules. 
You commit a crime, you become a CT (Cited Target).

So when Jessica turns eighteen for her Matching, she's confident in what The Association has picked for her. Just like for her school, family, and work, right?

When she sees her childhood friend, Yunho Jung, on the Matching screen, she knows that she doesn't have to worry who would be The One for her anymore. Everything is ready for her, like always.

But then, the entire District is surprised when the screen shuts down again.

And the robotic voice says that same line for the second time.

"Jessica Jung, we are honored to display your Match."
