"The idea of parallel universes had always sounded incredulous to me. For one, I had only known that I was living in one universe (obviously, since I didn’t consciously swap universes to be in), that I was me, that I was only living one life (that I absolutely loathed, no doubt). 

It first occurred to me that such a term was not simply science fiction when it became a personal experience, something I wasn’t so proud of that time, but now had become one of my best memories.

A tinge of regret is still evident, considering that I have eventually lost the ability to walk between parallel universes the way I used to, but that is not the point.
