Complementary Differences
Description
Kevin grew up in a happy family. Until his father got greedy and gambled the family away. His mother found a better man, and despite being unwilling, she left Kevin in the hands of a constantly drunk father.
When abusing Kevin proved to be no longer entertaining and of no proper use, Kevin was sold for money.
He could only hope that days would be slightly better, he dared not ask for more.

Foreword
“Where’s mommy! I want mommy!” Kevin screamed, fighting away his father’s hand from his body. He hasn’t hit puberty yet, but his drunk father was already making erted advances towards him. “Don’t touch me!”
“She left us!” He yelled, sending a powerful punch across a thirteen-year-old face. “She left you! She doesn’t like you!”
“LIAR!” Kevin cried, running away with a hand covering his face, the impact of the punch still felt on his tender skin. “Don’t touch me!”
“Or what?” His father sneered, pulling the small boy easily towards him. “You can’t run away from home, you have no way of staying alive.”
“Don’t touch me!” Kevin sobbed, biting his father’s hands with all his might in hopes of halting his father’s cruel actions.
The man got annoyed at Kevin, deciding to vent his frustrations on the boy instead, spanking and kicking the small body around for his own pleasure.
It was a tired and bloody night for Kevin, as he laid awake, trying to stop his bleeding nose.
“I want you, mommy.” Kevin whispered to the moon. “Why did you leave me here?”
