Plot: 
A top idol, diagnosed with a tumor in his lungs. Lonely and afraid he runs away. There he meets an angel, there he felt inspired to sing one last song to the world. My Angel, he calls it.

Prologue.

At the back of the hospital stood a man with a cigarette in his mouth, inhaling the stick of death before exhaling his life out in grey clouds. Despite knowing the fact that smoking kills, he didn’t care. He lifted his hand that was clutching a paper, test results to be exact.

‘I’m sorry, sir. I’m afraid it’s too late.’

The doctor’s words echoed in his ears. He clenched his fist tightly, crushing up his health examination results too.

Ring*Ring*Ring*

Ahh yes. There goes his phone again. How long has it been ringing? It’s probably from his band leader, nagging him to go home before the he starts being chased by a mob of fangirls. But still, he couldn’t care less about it. Why should he bother about these things anyway? He was about to die. So who cares if he got mobbed, or mugged, or damage his lungs with smoking? Not that it’s not already damaged.

‘I’m sorry, sir. I’m afraid it’s too late.’

The same two sentences replayed in his head, an endless loop in his mind, like a needle stuck in a record player. The more he thought about it, the angrier he felt. It wasn’t fair! Why, of all people, must it be him? What sin have he committed in life made him early death worthy? He didn’t understand at all. Taking one last long drag of the death stick, he extinguished it by dragging it along the wall, before dropping it onto the cold brick pavement.

Beep*Beep*

“Yeoboseyo?” A familiar voice picked up the phone.

“Teukie hyung.” He answered hesitantly.

“Yah Cho Kyuhyun! Where in the world have you been? Have you no clue that we’ve been worried sick about you? What happened?” Kyuhyun chuckled as he heard his band leader’s nagging.

He was definitely gonna miss this.

“Hyung, I can’t make it for dinner.” Kyuhyun received the familiar Wae?! I cooked your favourite! in reply. “Hyung, I’m going to Kwangju for a week. Manager hyung said I can have the week off.”

It was half true. His manager’s the only person he told this news to as he consulted him for the emergency vacation. He neither said yes, nor did he say no. He just grunted, to which Kyuhyun took it as a yes.

“Hmm… Alright then. Just make sure you call so we know that you’re still alive!” Leeteuk joked, not knowing that he touched a sensitive nerve in Kyuhyun.

“Sure thing.” Kyuhyun said softly before he hung up. “If I even live through the week.”

With that said, Kyuhyun slid into his Silver Lexus LF-A. He threw his phone to the backseat, planning to ignore it for the rest of the week. Or at least until he dies.

Putting on his shades,

“Life .”

he mumbled, before speeding off towards Kwangju. The land he’ll probably die in.
