Baekhyun narrowed his eyes as the other man continued to laugh but then he abruptly stopped and glared at him

“Out of my way, midget” and he shoved Baekhyun to the side and started to clean the sink

It took Baekhyun a few seconds to register what just happened “Hey!”

The other man just raised an eyebrow smugly. Baekhyun pouted before he stomped towards to the toilet seat "Stupid, cocky jerk," he thought in  his head

“Don’t you have a name?” suddenly Baekhyun asked, he was getting tired of cursing the man in his head. When there was no answer, Baekhyun looked up to find the other smirking “I asked you a question,” he deadpanned

“One which I’m not obligated to answer, midget,” his tone was cool but obviously teasing, a little tell-tale of a smile tugging down his lips.

“Fine, don’t tell me. I’ll keep calling you mean -face in my head okay,”

The man’s forehead instantly creased deeply “Kris, and I’d appreciate it even more if you’d call me that next time we sleep to...,” he was abruptly cut off by Baekhyun’s high-pitched shriek

“Shush! Shush!”

Kris blinked, uncomprehending

“They’re outside!” The other man cried exasperatedly

“You mean your ‘Channie’ is outside,” Kris was getting on Baekhyun’s nerve, he was about to ask what the idiot meant by that before it dawned on him and his eyes widened

“I-I didn’t…I mean I-I’m sorry Kris…,” Baekhyun was flustered, cheeks reddening “Di-did I really...?”

Kris just shot him an intense stare that made the smaller man even more nervous

“I think I need to…,” Baekhyun forced a wide sunny smile and let out a guilty laugh before he ran out of the bathroom.

The man bite his lower lip and closed his eyes as unwittingly flashes of last night –however vague-came flooding causing him to shiver. When he opened his eyes, however, he came face to face with the ahjumma he really didn’t want to see right now.

The woman was crossing his arms and narrowed her old eyes at him “Mr Byun Baekhyun…I’m going home now and your punishment is done but don’t for one second, think that I won’t know it when you lie. I’m going to find out what it is you’ve done this time,”

Baekhyun squeaked in fright

She shot a murderous look one last time before she went out of Baekhyun’s room.

A low whisper of “She is scary,” near his ear made Baekhyun jump, he swallowed as Kris moved away from him and went to check his room out as if he didn’t just scare the hell out of someone “hmm you read a lot of books?”

“No I don’t …I’m more of the mathematics type…,” Baekhyun answered, collecting his random possessions littered on the floor, some shirts, shorts, wristbands but suddenly it dawned on him. All of his stuff fell from his hands as he heard Kris read a few lines from one of the said book

“I told the stupid principal not to poke his nose in! Why not just do what he did best every day, get drunk and…,”Kris grinned as Baekhyun made a lunge for the journal he was reading, he dodged it and got the book way out of the smaller man’s reach using his height as an advantage “Hmm it’s flipped to another page now …someone stole my first kiss! I don’t know how to react, I mean he’s very handsome hihi …,” Kris moved a few steps to evade another swipe from Baekhyun and he chuckled “…you actually put hihi down, cute,” Kris commented with a small smile

“Kris this is not funny! It’s an invasion of privacy! Hey,”

“Oh you wrote his name down; … Jung….,” before Kris could finish reading the person’s name, however,  Baekhyun pulled the front of his –Chanyeol’s- shirt very roughly causing the other man to stumble and the journal to fly out of Kris’s hand.

“Please…,”Baekhyn pleaded softly as he realized that their faces were just inches apart and Kris was no longer smiling. “I keep those journals for therapy,”

Maybe it was because of that sincere, hoarse tone that Baekhyun used that made Kris slowly trailed his fingers on Baekhyun’s cheek making the other made frozen and his heart to hammer against his ribs so fast he could hear his blood rushing. Unconsciously, the smaller man gulped and as was his habit when he was nervous, he his lower lip.

When Kris leaned in Baekhyun’s mind went blank

“I’m sorry,”

“Huh?” Baekhyun’s mind was so muddled; he barely registered what was happening. He looked up straight to Kris’s eyes which seemed to be unreadable and cold.

“I’m sorry I read your diary,” something flashed in his eyes as he said the words. “Now do me a favour”

Baekhyun eyed the taller man warily before he pouted “He said sorry then right after that arrogantly demand a favour! What kind of person does that?” he mumbled to himself not caring if the other person heard or not.

“I apologized twice,” Kris then disappeared to the bathroom in a few long strides and reappeared with his own dirty, soiled clothes from the night before. “Come with me,”

Baekhyun asked him suspiciously “What? Are you going to kidnap me now? Please don’t underestimate me, even though I’m a bit on the cute side, I can handle you,” he spread his legs and went on his starting karate pose “God I feel so sore!” he complained just seconds after that drawing another laugh –however unwillingly-from Kris

The other man shook his head and grabbed Baekhyun’s wrist tightly and dragged him out of the room. Though the smaller man protested vehemently, Kris paid him no heed. They passed the living room but then Kris poked his head back in.

“Why are you…,” Baekhyun stopped short as he saw Chanyeol sprawled on the glass table he cleaned before “…he loves to sleep on that table,” Kris quirked an eyebrow at Baekhyun’s almost dreamy look

“I wasn’t looking at him,” Kris’s had this peculiar tone as he told him that, it was like he was amused and confused at the same time. Baekhyun shifted his gaze, following Kris’s line of sight and there was Sungjong, sitting on the floor, pieces of yellow candy wrappers scattered around a huge glass jar full of more candies.

The kid was about…

“…Magnesium, Aluminium, Silicon, Phosphorussss…,” the younger boy was singing softly and laughing as he slurred here and there

“Is he high?” Kris asked, a hint of awe in his tone “on lemon candies? And reciting the periodic table?”

Baekhyun forced a laugh “aha, it’s the lemon, it does things to his head,” before he rushed to the boy, kneeled down and slapped both his cheeks rapidly “Wake up, wake up Sungjongie!”

“…Calciummmm…huh?” finally the boy focused on him

“If you don’t snap out of it he’s going to think you’re taking drugs idiot!” Baekhyun hissed at him “Why’d you take these? It’s supposed to be used for emergency purposes only!”

“I’m stressed hyung, ahjumma just threatened me,” then the boy dramatically started to bawl his eyes out “She’s so evil! Where’s my teddy?”

“Nu uh, not gonna tell you where I hide him, the poor thing. Now get up!” then he lowered his voice, making sure that Kris didn’t hear him “Sun devil,”

Sungjong blinked for a few seconds before a bright sunny smile graced the younger’s lips “Got it, want a bag for that?” He pointed to the clothes in Kris’s hands. The man nodded in response.

Baekhyun led Kris out the front door after that “Okay this is as far as I go, so bye,” He was about to turn around but was surprised as he was yanked back rather roughly by the other man “Whaaat?” he whined

“I told you to come with me! I need someone to wash my clothes since you’re responsible for last night activity, you should be the one to do it,” Kris hauled him along to the street outside

“How am I responsible for last night? If I need to remind you, I’m still sore because of you!” Baekhyun complained with a huff.

“If memory served me right, you’re the one who came onto me,” kris answered calmly although his attention was elsewhere. Baekhyun was about to protest before he remembered and he looked down biting his lip hard to fight the fierce blush blooming across his cheeks. Probably not used to the silence around the midget, Kris glanced down to him before he fully faced the guy “Are you embarrassed?”

“Shut up! Just walk okay,”

Kris smirked “Alright. So you know Mrs Lee?”

Baekhyun frowned “If you’re asking if I’ve ever seen her, no not in person. Only pictures. Why’d you ask?”

“Just curious,” Kris mysterious answer only piqued the other man’s interest

“Then can I ask you a question?”

“Isn’t that already one?”

Baekhyun ignored it and went on “We’re about to enter a very dangerous neighbourhood. Are you absolutely sure you live here?”

Kris seemed to look around but then he nodded and confidently walked on leaving Baekhyun who hesitated for only one second before he followed Kris in the end

“Are you a foreigner? I’ve never seen you around,”

“Yes. I just moved,”

Then Baekhyun ranted on a story about a group of gangsters living there. They’d messed with him one time but Baekhyun proudly said he fended them off alone. Kris had an amused smile on his face and didn’t comment on his thoughts.  Though it was enough to make Baekhyun pout

“You don’t believe me, do you?” he didn’t wait for an answer “Kris, where exactly are we going?”

Kris faltered.

“Nu uh, don’t give me that look,” Baekhyun cringed “We’re lost aren’t we?”
