He chuckles softly. And I can feel his warm breath against my lips. The proximity is killing me, literally and figuratively.

“Tell me this is just a dream.”

“Yes it is!” The voice from the megaphone boomed right on my ear that made me jolt up right.

And with that, my brother woke me up from my wonderful dream.

“Yong Hwa-hyung, aren’t you going to at least take a seat here and relax? It’s been hell of a tiring day with the press!”

Minhyuk looked at me weirdly but I could only care less. I was still laughing my heart out at the failed ending of the supposed-to-be romantic one shot. I just waved my hand at him, signalling him I was totally fine. In times like this, actually, facing my laptop reading stories is one of my favorite stress relievers next to sleeping. I was far away from being sleepy plus I have become fond of talking with my newfound internet friend in asianfanfics. Shin-to-the-blue.

She writes fanfics about CNBLUE and I was more than glad to know that I am her bias. I constantly subscribe to her stories, as her imaginations never fails to amuse me. Romantic idol, arrogant lawyer, Mysterious gangster, caring doctor. Name it. She had already written numerous stories with me as the leading man and I, honestly on my part, would sometimes think if I could pull those characters off if one day I get to play the script of one of her characters.

Reading her fics, at least, makes me every once in a while, escape from the competitive and struggling-for-fame industry I am now in. Don’t get me wrong, okay? I am happy where I am now. But of course where I am now came with a price. A lot of prices actually. Having to live away with your family for an instance. Reduced privacy for another. My list can go on and on but then again. I am not alone. I am pretty sure that more than half of the idols in our country face the same dilemmas as I do.

After a few minutes, the envelope button on the upper-right side of the screen turned red when I refreshed the page. I clicked on it and wasn’t surprised with what I saw.

This girl is really something. One second she’s extremely energetic and then the next thing she feels sad. I wonder how she would like when she’s pouting ‘cause I bet she’s had her lips forming a pout right now. I think that would be cute. I immediately replied to her message.

I never even once get to see CNBLUE’s concert, sadly ;O; /cries a river/ I only saw them in a fan sign event for a clothing brand they are endorsing since I am in that same mall where the event was being held. But then again, there are already a lot of people gathered around them and so I could only see them from afar. T____T If only I could see him…

Like, I wouldn’t want him to have a big head just because he already has a lot of fan girls out there. I’ll try my very best to stay calm because maybe, just maybe, he still wanted to be treated normally. :)

I couldn’t help but smile at her reply. At least, there’s someone out there who understands me even though she’s not in my shoes and it’s comforting to know that.

“Dinner is ready, hyung!” Jungshin called me from the dining room and I could smell Jonghyun’s signature ramyeon from here. Looks like I’m going to gain a few pounds tonight.

Right after sending my reply, I shut down my laptop and sighed in relief. That was close!

I walked to the dinner table in a swift or else there will be nothing left for me. You know how guys have a big appetite.

“Still reading fanfics, eh?” Jonghyun nudged my elbow, and my bowl shakes a bit. I glared at him before hitting his head with the spoon on my other hand. Jonghyun might look cold and stern on the outside, but truth to be told he is as playful as the youngest Jungshin. Actually, even more playful sometimes.

“Ow!” He pouts and scoffs afterwards. “Don’t you read the fics as well, hmm?” The grin was immediately replaced by a mischievous grin. Arrgh, burning!

“It’s. None. Of. Your. Business. Mind your own fics.” I stuck my tongue out at him and the four of us laughed heartily. The dinner could never been better without these guys that I call family as well.
