Chapter 6: Two Hearts, one feeling.

The next day in the morning Taemin woke up with a strong determination in his head; Soojung need to be his girlfriend! He quickly got up from his bed to prepare himself for another practice session at the SM Entertainment building when he heard his phone beeped. He got a text message from her.

From: Soojung

Oppa, are you free today? 

Can you meet me at the company at lunch?

I have something to say to you.

He was smiling to himself when he read her message, but Taemin was thinking what is that something she need to say to him? He hoped it was the same thing that he wanted to say to her, that's she love him too. Thinking of that possibility made him even more excited than before, he typed his replies while biting his lips to prevent himself from screaming out loud.

To: Soojung

Well, I'm not exactly free today, but I have a practice at the company until 2 PM.

So, I guess I'll see you there soon?

Not long after that came her reply.

From: Soojung

Okay.

See you soon ^^

Taemin got out from his room and quickly rushed to the bathroom as soon as he finished reading her reply, it felt like his heart is going to burst out very soon from the excitement and he couldn't prevent himself from smiling. His smile remained on his lips when he was on the way back to his bedroom, it made his Minho hyung asked him why did he was smiling like that since early in the morning, he didn't bother to answer him though since he himself doesn't know what was wrong with him. What had happened to you, Lee Taemin? Calm the hell down!

"Ouch!" Taemin exclaimed loudly when Jinki elbowing him harshly in his stomach, he quickly turned to the older boy and give him a questioning look.

"Didn't you said you're going meet Soojung today? Why did you are still here?" Jinki whispers to him because they are currently in middle of practice and their manager is not too far from them, Jinki was looking at Taemin as if he's some kind of rare species but Taemin doesn't even bother to be offended by him.

Oh my god! He almost forget about that! And how the hell he could escape in the middle of practice and from their manager? He's the type of person who always wanted to know everything, especially when it was about him.

But before he could said anything Jinki already has a plan to help him escape from their manager's unnecessary questions in his head.

"Taem, why don't you buy some drinks for us? I'm so thirsty right now." Jinki said loud enough so other members can hear him, Kibum quickly agreed and he tells Taemin to buy him his favorite milkshake. 

"Go, Now!" Jinki added in the corner of his mouth.

Taemin get up and go to the outside of the dance room immediately, he checks his phone and found there is a text message from Soojung.

From: Soojung

Oppa, I'm at the cafeteria on the 3rd floor right now.

Come here when you're done with your practice, okay?

After reading her texts Taemin quickly ran to the elevator, he could feel the cold sweats in his hands as he press on the 3 button. He have this weird feeling and it made him uncomfortable and nervous, but deep inside he's just hoping everything will turn out fine. As soon as he got out from the elevator he could see Soojung was sitting on one of the table in the cafeteria.

He gulped before approaching her. He could feel this weird feelings getting stronger than before from the way Soojung was spacing out, something bad is about to come to his way.

"Soojung-ah..." It's clearly for him that Soojung didn't realize he was there in front of her until he called her.

She was surprised to see him, but put a small smile and laughed nervously at him. "Oh, you are here."

Taemin tries his best to put a bright smile on his face despite his uneasiness. "Yeah." But he simply couldn't put away his worries, "Soojung-ah, are you okay?"

"I...I'm alright, I was just a bit tired you know, going here and there for my schedules." She was silent for a moment before continued, "How about you?"

"Me? I'm fine." Taemin couldn't help but feeling even more nervous now. It's the first for him to be in such a uncomfortable situation with her. "By the way, what is that something you wanted to tell me?"

He could see her exhaling deeply before speaks, "Oppa, I think it's better for us to stop this. We...No, I mean I don't think I can do it anymore." She said it in one go without looking at him. Taemin could just pretends he doesn't know what she was talking about but he couldn't, because he understands it perfectly, he was right after all, this is the meaning of his uneasiness earlier.

He tried to smile even though he knows he's hurting inside. "Oh okay, if you are not comfortable to do it again, I understand."

Soojung looks up at him with a sad expression, "I'm sorry."

Taemin laughed even though he didn't mean it. "You don't need to apologize to me Soojung, I'm the one who should apologize to you." He looks at her but not straight in the eyes, it's just too painful for him to do that. "I'm sorry, it's must be hard for you to do that. I was selfish, I'm sorry."

Silence.

Soojung just doesn't know what to do now, even after seeing how easy it was for Taemin to accept it she just couldn't help but feeling hurts deep inside. It's still hard for her to accept the reality that Taemin indeed never had such a feeling for her, she was just mistaken his caring smiles as something that means more than his usual brotherly smiles all this time. How silly of her to even thought about it that way.

After a long silence, Soojung got up from her seat as she realize her tears are about to fall. "I need to go now, see you around oppa." And with that she ran as fast as she can without looking back at him while her tears falls but she doesn't bother to wipe it, all she wanted to do now is to go far away from him.

An hour after Soojung had left him, Taemin is still sitting on his seat at the cafeteria, feeling defeated. He wanted to scream and cry at the same time but couldn't do it, not here in the cafeteria at least. So, he decide to go back to the practice room, hoping the other members weren't there, he really need his alone time.

He walked inside the practice room with a lifeless expression and found out that he was lucky enough at the moment because it was only him and his Kibum hyung there.

Kibum looks up and was about to complain about how Taemin forgot to buy his milkshake, but he stop when he saw how depressed Taemin'
