Chapter 1

The Flaw-Covered Perfection

"Hey, what's up?" Kai who was leaning on the wall, outside of an restaurant, asked. Trying his best to act naturally, he brought up a conversation after noticing a young, female foreigner walk past him. Kai might not be so smart, but he was fast at observing. He can kind of guess where someone is from or pretty much what they do daily. From American to Chinese and Volleyball to Track, he could find out instantly. He ran over to the blond-haired girl, and asked her in fluent English, "What brings you here? In front of a Spicy Rice Cake Restaurant?"

"I-I'm s-sorry," the girl mumbled trying to get past the tall and muscular man in front of her. Pulling her hands out of her pockets, she grabbed her shoulder bag tightly. "I-I'm s-sorry," she repeated again.

"No. No. No, don't be!" Kai tried to calm her down, taking a step back.  He watched her as pulled her bag tightly, hiding it from him."If you’re think I’m some sort of robber, you’re wrong. I just wanted to say something, that’s all." Before speaking, he curled his fingers into fist and pulled it up to his face, covering his mouth. "Think of me as a banana," he mumbled, embarrassed at what the results would be.

Kai let out a chuckle, pulling his fist away from his mouth, after watching her slowly furrowing her brows as well as tilting her head. "I was trying to refer myself as yellow on the outside but white on in the inside. Just like a banana!" He smiled, throwing his hands up, earning himself a small giggle. Jackpot. “So, what's your name?" Kai asked, giving her a small wink.

"Anne," she happily replied, releasing a kind smile.

"Well, Anne, my name is Jongin. Kim Jongin. Do you want to hang out sometime? Maybe after my friend, who is taking a large amount of time just to pay the bills, is finished." Kai sighed, looking up at the clear, blue sky, shaking his head in disappointment. “At times, she can be a bit rude and act all tough, but don’t worry she’s a real sweetheart,” Kai choked on his words. “Oh, for crying out loud, what am I saying?” he tried to wake himself up, slapping his cheeks.

  "Kim. Jong. In."

"Hey! You know my name-" he looked at the American girl in front of her, who was staring at something behind him. Following her eyes, he too turned back to see an angry yet calm looking, Seohyun. "Oh it's you. I met a new friend, her name is-"

"What the heck are you doing?" she walked over, ignoring his comment. Giving him a small glare, she grabbed his arm. Just before walking away, she noticed someone standing in front of them. "Eh…sorry?" she gave the blonde girl an apologetic wave.

Kai broke away from Seohyun's grasp, fixing his long sleeved sweater. "I was busy," he gave Seohyun a friendly glare, before turning around to face the girl, who was now about 10 feet away from them. "Goodbye!" he waved.

"What are you doing?" she whispered, leaning towards his ears, turning around to make sure the American girl was walking away. "You're using your well-learned English to get girls?" Seohyun was bewildered at the fact of him not caring about his father's precious money. Money was precious, very precious. Everyone craved for it, everyone loved it. According to Seohyun, money should be used carefully. It's used to easily but earned to difficultly. She had always kept that in mind, especially after her parent's sudden downfall in business.  "Your father would be very mad at you. Wasting his precious money for you to flirt with these-"

"These what?" Kai raised a brow. He had a distinct feeling inside of him, it’d be about someone very important to him. He knew Seohyun would talk about her, since she literally teases him about her everyday. One day talking about how they are perfect for each other, but the next day saying how ugly she is in the inside.

"These Im Yoona's," Seohyun replied right away, digging deep into Kai's eyes. "There's Im Yoona #1 you dated in middle school. Now there's what? Im Yoona #530?" Seohyun threw her hands up in frustration. "When are going to get over her?"

Kai looked to his left, pulling a ‘I-knew-it’ smile on his face. "What does the girl before have to do with anything about Yoona? And Yoona #1? What's that all about?" Kai asked furiously. "You know I like her, Hyun, don't talk so rashly."

"Alright, I'm sorry," Seohyun apologized. "I didn't mean to insult her anyway, it was more of an insult towards you and your obsession." Just as Seohyun was going to continue, she saw a familiar figure walking towards them from far away.

"Oh come’ on," Kai broke into a smile. "You know you love me! Whoa wait, you love me right?" Kai stopped smiling, demanding for an answer. "Seo. Joo. Hyun. You better answer me."

"You got some serious issues. You're crazy and just want love from everyone, especially girls." Seohyun rolled her eyes and started walking away, towards the direction of the figure. "Why did I even bother to befriend someone like you," she mumbled to herself, crossing her arms. She tried to ignore the man walking towards them, but it was all too much too handle. He was everywhere and everything. On the wall of the school, girl's lockers, the star of the school Academic Decathlon, and even...in my dreams.

Kai who caught up behind her, was just in time to hear her mumbles. "Why did you?" Kai fastened his pace, walking next to her. "We weren’t childhood friends, or friends at all before."

"It was a weird freshman year for me. I mean I'm not those social, outgoing freaks." Seohyun glanced over at Kai, before turning back to see if the figure had gotten any closer. “You were a nobody to me.” She cleared , feeling a bit guilty for her blunt reply. “Honestly, I knew you since middle school, because rumors about you were pretty much every where. When we were freshmens, like every other year, we had to meet and greet all of our classmates. That year was a complete change for me, because I met and got to know you. You were in my chemistry class, and unfortunately my lab partner for a year," she lowered her head, shaking it in disapproval. "It almost cost me a fail!" She slapped his shoulders.

“Well,” Kai started to think of an excuse. “You can’t really blame me for everything anyways,” he glanced over at Seohyun, shrugging. “I don’t know if it’s just me, but I think I should get credit for earning us an A as well.”

“The weird way,” Seohyun gave him a disgusted look. “If talking to the teacher, NON-STOP, is your way of earning A’s, I can kind of understand why your grades are higher than I expected.”

“Oh, you got it wrong. I actually EARNED my high grades,” Kai explained proudly. “Either way, it’s not like all the teachers are females.”

“This is what I mean,” Seohyun pointed at Kai, looking at him from top to bottom. She sighed, pulling back her hand. “I apologize for my rudeness,” she cleared . “We need to get to the library now.”

Kai’s eyes widened, as he gasped at her response. “Excuse me? So we were walking towards the library the whole time?” He slapped his forehead, dropping his head.

“Yes, and I believe you don’t want to come?” Seohyun asked wisely, knowing her friend’s personality.

“Exactly,” Kai nodded his head, acknowledging her wise remarks. “We shall talk about this some other time. You still never finished you’re answer."

“You want me to tell you the story, yet you’re planning to leave me here alone?” Seohyun turned her head to face Kai, smiling bitterly. “What a great friend."

“You mean only friend!” Kai mumbled, before running forward, past the library. Time by time, turning his head and giving Seohyun an apologetic smile. “I promise I’ll make it up to you!” He watched Seohyun safely walk into the library and just as he was going to turn around, he had accidently run into someone and fell first to the ground. "Huh?" he looked up, not satisfied to see a handsome golden-haired classmate of his, standing right in front of him. He used his hands, and pushed himself up from the ground, staring at the other guy. "I'm sorry," Kai was able to blurt out, before his feelings could take over him. "Luhan."

"Learn your informalities, you'll need them later on," Luhan replied harshly, fixing his hair. He pulled the sides of his leather jacket towards each other, and walked off.

"I just want to-" Kai pulled his fists up in a punching motion, watching him walk away from him. "Damn it, I should of just done it right here. I always miss the chance! Damn him..."

*~*~*

"Dude!" Sehun ran through the hallways, catching up to Luhan. "What the heck was that, seriously? That was fricken hilarious," Sehun started to laugh all over the place. "She was like sitting on the chair and all but like fell! Just like that," he snapped his fingers. "She fell, and the nurse even had to come!" Sehun put his arms around Luhan, leaning on him, just in case he starts to laugh too hard.

"No one. No one was laughing except for you, Sehun." Luhan kept his hands in his pockets. "And even if they did think it was funny, at least they didn't start laughing out loud," Luhan tried to get him in the right mind. "Sehun, at least, try to be a little bit more considerate."

"Oh~, we got a smart- over here!" Sehun jokingly waved his hands in the air. He laughed at his own joke, and turned to look at Luhan. Luhan kept quiet, still looking forward, ignoring Sehun. "Alright, alright, sorry Hyung," Sehun took off his jacket, swinging it behind his back.

Luhan couldn't help but let out a small chuckle. His dongsaeng had some serious cuteness, that's just too hard to ignore. "You should say sorry to the girl you laughed at. Why are you saying sorry to me?" Luhan walked into the lunch line. "You buying?"

"Yeah, I'm buying," Sehun followed Luhan, lining up behind him. "I don't even know her name. Plus, I don't really want to talk to her," Sehun scratched the back of his head, shrugging.

"Why not?" Luhan eyed him suspiciously. "Because she's not as attractive as- what's her name again?" Luhan grabbed a tray, laughing at Sehun.

Sehun laughed awkwardly, grabbing a tray as well. "Maybe. I don't know," Sehun stuck his tongue out. "But Hyung! I told you her name yesterday already!"

"You did?" Luhan scratched his forehead. "I don't remember," he gave Sehun an apologetic look, reaching out for salad bowl. "Chicken please," he politely told the lunch lady, who replied with a nod.

"Thanks Hyung," Sehun replied, with his voice filled with sarcasm. "Does this mean you don't listen to my talks with you?" Sehun gasped, before turning to the lunch lady. "No thank you."

"No, I listen. You talk about how you like this girl right?" Luhan nodded his head in approval of his own answer. "I just forgot her name, that's all," he smiled at Sehun, and took a bottle of water.

"Her name is Seo Joo Hyun, don't forget it this time. I'm serious Hyung. I won't forgive you then." He grabbed himself a coke, and followed behind Luhan in the line.

"Seo Joo Hyun?" Luhan thought the name sounded familiar. "Do I know her?" Luhan asked, passing his school card to the cashier. "Xi Luhan," he stated his name to the worker.

"How do I know? But you're going to have to know, sooner or later. I'm going to need you're help," Sehun scratched his head. "Oh Sehun," Sehun also passed his card to the cashier, and stated his name.

"I guess?" Luhan laughed to himself, walking away from the lunch line. "Maybe if I have time," Luhan turned his head, watching Sehun take his card back, catching up to him. "We'll talk about it some other time, alright?"

*~*~*

"Again?" Yoona mumbled to herself, as a bunch of letters fell out of her locker. Yoona was actually quite used to letters in her locker, whether they were from girls or guys. She just hates it when it overfills, and falls out whenever the locker is pulled opened. She'd have to pick up all of the ones on the floor, herself. Not like she really cares about reading them or not. She just didn't want to look like such a bad person, so she finds it as a daily routine to bring it back home and then deal with it.

"Hey Yoona," Yoona turned her head to see a young fellow leaning on the lockers. "Don't worry, I'm not those letter type of people. So no need to explain anything to me."

"I wasn't going to say anything," Yoona looked at him with a straight face. "Which brings me to this, who are you?" she bent down, to pick up the fallen letters.

"Kim Jongin," Kai laughed, bending down to help pick up the letters. "My lovely Yoona. Deer Yoong. Yoona, my love. What is this?" Kai chuckled to himself. "Do you have a thing for letters?"

"Well," Yoona stood up. "Honestly, not really," she laughed. "I'm not sure when or why all these letters started."

"Don't tell anyone but, guys like us, think girl's have a thing for letters," Kai whispered, passing the letters he picked up to Yoona.

"Thanks," Yoona shot him a smile. She started to look through the letters held in her hands, one by one. "Not from everyone though..." she mumbled to herself.

"You looking for a certain name?" Kai raised an eyebrow. "Are you alright?" he put his hands on her shoulder.

She took a step back, pulling his hand away from her shoulder. "No not really. And please, we just met. I don't see why you need to ask so much," she shoved the letters back in, slamming her locker. "It was nice meeting you, Kim Jongin."

Kai sighed as he watched her walk away from him. Not again. He started to run, catching up to Yoona. "Actually, I knew since middle school. You just never really took notice of me." Kai pouted to himself, bitterly smiling at Yoona. "I talk to you, at least once a week. But, you've asked for my name every time," Kai laughed, scratching his head.

"Look, I'm really sorry," Yoona looked at Kai, guiltily for all she has done. "I just- I meet like 50 new people everyday. And that's just in the school. I have my things outside of school as well. I can't just remember someone that easily."

"How about I make a proper introduction of myself?" Kai smiled, still walking next to Yoona.

"Sure?" Yoona laughed at his innocent remark. "Go ahead."

"Nice to meet you, I'm Kim Jongin. Kim as in Gold. One of the most common family names in Korea. Kim Jongin. I love dancing, it's my life. Without it...I don't know where I would be. One thing for sure, I would not be in this school if it wasn't for dancing. I was born on-" Kai paused, thinking of whether it would be the right thing to say. "Age doesn't matter."

"Are you younger than me?" Yoona laughed, as she stopped walking. "I've arrived at my classroom."

"Maybe. Maybe not," Kai shrugged. "Well, I can't let you go until you introduce yourself as well."

"Are you kidding me?" Yoona couldn't help but laugh. "Alright then. I'm Im Yoona."

"T-that's it?" Kai rubbed his neck. "Not what I expected, but okay."

"You're interesting Jongin. It was nice to actually meet you. Don't worry, I won't forget you're name anymore," Yoona smiled, reaching her hand out, shaking his hand. "See you later, Jongin-ah!" she waved, before walking into the classroom.

A/N

So what do you guys think? Too short....)): so sad I couldn't write more. But I hope it's not too boring for you. Well, it's the first chapter anyway...sorry I'm not too well at starting off. LOL so as you can see, Kai and Seohyun are friends. I don't really ship them as a couple...I never thought of it...ever...yeah so don't expect any love other than friendship from them. EVERYTHING that will happen between them will all be pure friendship. Nothing more. Sehun and Luhan are good friends as well. HUNHAN! <3 Sehun is joking a lot if you can kind of see it. Whilst, Luhan is still the calm one, trying to fix his attitude as much as he can. Then there's YoonKai! I can't really say much about any of the characters, since it's pretty much right there. I don't see this chapter as a complicated one, and I don't think I will have a lot of difficult to comprehend chapters, so no need to worry about that. SO SORRY, for having no luyoon moments at all. BUT, trust me, next chapter will definitly have them! I SWEAR. Can't have a story without them! <3 Anyway, I hope you enjoyed it! Please Subscribe and Comment!!

Chapter 2: LOL uptight!Seohyun is just too cute. Anyways, I was hoping maybe Luhan and Seohyun would get together, and Yoona could be with Kai, or even better, you can throw in a love triangle between Luhan/Seohyun/Sehun! That would create so much chaos, no? Haha
