Searching for the one to fill the hole

Left by Cupid's blindly shot arrow.

Jealously consuming him as he gazed at couples from inside the confines of his own home

Unbearable pain influenced by longing,

Numb from the journey that made him realize

Shattered fragments of the heart were meant to remain unattended to.

Until a faithful encounter, in that alternate world, changed everything.

Childish still, in the eyes of love

Helpless, with nothing to cushion the fall

Addicted to the newfound thrill of being--

Nervous at her gentle touches

Gleeful and secure at her side

Melancholic at the thought of seperation

Intemperate with her protection in mind

Nevertheless making the most common mistake, misinterpreting hate for love.

Yearning to release the pent up emotions

Obstinate in the quest to change

Opaque hues of grey that

Clouded his vision, rendering him almost blind.

Her smiles were the first rays of sunlight able to pierce through the storm

Unwary of problems troubling the world.

Naturally altering the grey and adding color to his bleak outlook on life.

Jumbled music spread on cement pavement

Appeasing the unwanted tension surrounding him.

Easily smitten by her kindness, and simple smiles

Jotting down notes on paper, lyrics in notebooks

Ongoing melodies expressing his doubts and confusion

Offsetting the interim of late nights and early mornings.

Nodding off during serious conversations when topics often brought her to mind

Generating satisfying results, sure to take her breath away.

Yesterday's forgotten memories coming back to mind

Unbridled passion with every movement

Noticing her, realizing the strange sensations felt day by day

Habitual routines, dancing to the beat alongside her

Opening up and forging an unbreakable bond

Belonging to a group that shook the nation

Secret feelings and affections they shared, uniting them

Kept in silence, forced to bear the burden.
