Swarms of journalists and reporters stand behind the barriers, trying to break through and get close ups of the approaching van. A man and woman fight just to get close enough to the barrier so they can see between the soldiers who stand guard. There's a low rumble in the distance and the constant chatter rises up a notch.

"Reports are coming in cosntantly!" a man shouts into his microphone. "Most are telling us that the survivor is a girl!"

"We haven't confirmed anything yet," a woman with a pale brown bob of hair on her head reports, "but it is expected the van will be arriving any minute now!"

There's a loud honk.

For a second, all goes quiet.

Then the frenzied reporters and journalists press up against each other, trying so hard to see the survivor. Soldiers step to the side, letting the van approach the barrier. A young girl sits there, head bowed and tangled black hair hiding her face. In her hand is a small doll. She looks nothing like she did before, pale skin covered with dirt and hands stained with blood. Pinned to her white, bloody dress is a nametag with childish handwriting in sparkly blue ink.

"IT'S A GIRL!" the same woman screams. "KIM SU KYUNG OF CLASS A-2! GIRL NUMBER 7 IS THE SURVIVOR OF BATTLE ROYALE!"

The chatter rises to a deafening level, and everyone is too busy that they don't notice her twitch slightly. Slowly, she brings her head up and lets out a timid cough. People turn back to face her.

She glares at everyone for a moment, then suddenly her lips curl upwards in a sickening smile, eyes sparkling with madness.

"SHE'S SMILING! SHE'S DEFINITELY SMILING!"
