You were walking to the school gate when you saw a large group of girls gathering around.

 

“Haiz… Not again…” You shook your head.

 

You tip-toed and looked over their heads.

 

“Yup… It’s Sunbae again.”

 

It was the second month since you came to Dukwon High.

 

“This is becoming normal. I can already predict what Sunbae is going to say.” You thought in your head.

 

You tried to squeeze through the crowd but failed…instead you got stuck in the middle.

 

“Me and my sad life…” You thought to yourself.

 

You couldn’t move and so... you joined the other girls in what they’re doing.

Sunbae:  ……….

“But he says he’s not ready…” You pouted.

 

“You can never be ready for love. Love just happens.” Yukina tilted her head slightly to the right and smiled.

 

You squeezed out a small smile.

 

You kept a memo in your phone.

 

The memo’s content:

To confess. On the day before valentine’s day. Hwaiting!

~THE DAY~

 

You were nervous. You kept on checking yourself in the mirror hoping that your hair is not messed up or anything.

The rhythm of your heart is quite… un-normally fast.

 

You held a small note in your hand. It has your hand phone number…

 

You worried again… what if…

 

You sat down and begin to want to give up…

 

Yukina walked towards you and sat beside you.

 

“Worrying again? Here, have this.”

She passed you a little sachet.

Curious, you tried to untie the ribbons.

 

“Stop! Only open this if Sunbae rejects you.”

 

You widen your eyes… it seems like Yukina had planned something for you. You tied back the ribbons.

The words hit you hard. Even you have heard him say this to many girls but these words still have their impact on you.

You knew it will happen but still…you wished that it wouldn’t happen.

You gave him your little note.

“Call me now.” You said.

 

“Okay…” He took out his hand phone and punch in the numbers. He was feeling strange as this is the first time that a girl would do this after the confession.

 

After a while, your phone rang.

 

“Now you have mine.” He smiled.

 

You had your poker face on because you didn’t want to smile back.

 

“I guess…I’ll see you around?” He says awkwardly.

 

“Yeah.” You replied coldly.

 

As you turned back and walk away, he tilted his head to the right.

You opened the sachet Yukina gave.

It contains a little note.

You open it.

 

(YOUR NAME) ah, after opening this… it means that the results weren’t good. However, (YOUR NAME)… you shall and will definitely NOT give up! I know how to tackle Sunbae. I got secret info from a certain someone.

 

-Sunbae NEVER has an umbrella. (Means… you must ALWAYS bring an umbrella along!)

-Loves ice-scream, Strawberries and Chocolate (Similar to YOU! XD Pester him to go buy ice-cream with you if you can. ;)  )

 

Ideal Type…I don’t think you need to know this since you ARE his ideal type.

 The next day in school, you were packing your bag to go home.

 

It rained suddenly.

 

You smiled and prayed hard.
 

 

You walked to the school’s entrance and saw Sunbae.

 

You smiled and went over.

 

“Sunbae? Remember me?”

“How come you’re here?” You asked, but obviously know the answer.

 

“I didn’t bring an umbrella.”

 

“Oh… want to share mine?” You offered.

“Oh? Er…it’s okay.”

 

“Sunbae, my house is near. You can borrow my umbrella after sending me home. I don’t mind, since we’ll be seeing each other in school. You can return it to me tomorrow.”

“Oh is it? Alright.” He smiles.

While walking, you sang your favourite song softly.

You realized that you were singing subconsciously and stopped.

 

“Waeyo? Your singing was good. Continue.” Sunbae said.

Your cheeks turned light pink.

You looked straight continued singing.

 

 

Then, you reached your house.

 

“So…I’ll see you tomorrow.” He smiles.

 

“Ne~” You smiled back.

 

When his back faced you, you shouted, “Sunbae!~ Thanks for sending me home!~”

 

He turned back, and waved.

You managed to get Sunbae to send you home for a few occasions and you could feel that he was slowly opening up to you. Also, he sang with you while walking you home.

Then, you asked him out for ice-cream.

He agreed.

You two were looking at the flavors and you saw Sunbae having trouble over which to choose.

 

“Sunbae?”

“Ah? Do you want to order first? I don’t know which to choose… Strawberry or Chocolate? Hmmm…”

 

You smiled and said, “Sunbae, why not we share? I’ll buy the strawberry one and you’ll buy the chocolate one.”

 

“It’s okay. You just choose what you want.”

“But Sunbae, I have already chosen. Strawberry.”

“You like strawberries too?”

 

You nodded.

“And chocolate too!”

 

Sunbae smiles.

 

You eat your strawberry ice-cream and had a thought.

 

How about I feed Sunbae?

Sunbae shyly opened his mouth. 

 

You smiled.

“Does it taste nice?”

He smiles back and nodded.

You stood outside of the school gate.

There was a crowd again.

 

“Gosh…aren’t they tired? Stupid girls, he’s mine. MINE!” You cursed inside your head.

 

You push your way through the crowd and yes, it was the same scene.

 

A random girl and Sunbae.

 

Like usual, Sunbae rejects the girl.

 

“I’m grateful that I have a place in your heart but you should take me out. My heart does not have a place for anyone else already… because the place is already taken. I’m sorry...”

 

“What?! Did I hear correctly?” You couldn’t believe it.

 

All this time…

I thought he liked me already…

I’m such a fool.

 

But it seems like he hasn’t finished what he wanted to say.

“That place is taken by her.”

 

You blinked. You look at Sunbae’s finger…pointing towards…

 

You?!?!

 

“Mianhae.” Sunbae said to the girl.

 

The girl ran off crying.

 

Sunbae walks towards you.

You gave him a punch on the chest.

 

“Ouch. Why did you hit me?”

“You used me as your shield.” You replied.

 

“Not really, what I’ve said is true.”   

 

You wanted to give him another punch but he stopped you.

 

“This will prove it.”

 

He grabbed you by the shoulders and pulled you towards him.
