Tao POV

She hung up!? again? I guess she's really mad ... Lay, so, you're finally showing up, huh? ... But i don't want to give up on her anymore. untill she says she wants to be with you, i'll stick to her.

I bought a plane's ticket for China and packed some clothes. we had 2 days off before continuing practices and promotions. the plane is taking off tonight, so i had some spare time.

Your POV

I followed the ambulance and they went to the nearest hospital, which was my workplace. i put on my blouse and went to the emergency room where they lied him on another bed, and they put him on another room. i tried to entere it but some security guys hold me by the arms

"miss, you can't go in there" one of them said

"i work here!" i yelled and struggled but they won't let me

"you're not allowed to enter" the second one said and i sighed. i knew i couldn't go inside. but i still tried it. i fell on the ground and tears that i tried to keep inside suddenly fell on my cheeks and i leaned on the wall

Lay ... Lay ... don't go... i beg you

when i stoppped crying, i went to my office since the security guards didn't want me to stay in front of the doors because i was "disturbing". i lied on the sofa and sighed. i took my phone on my bag and saw his beanie then sighed again. i looked at my photos

I still have it ... Lay, remember when you asked me what you had to do for me to stay with you...? Well ... live. just stay alive with me and i'll be the most happy girl in the entire word. Please ... don't leave me, not again.

"Chanjae-ssi" one of my colleagues called me and i opened the door after wiping my tears away

"yes?"

"one of your patient is-"

"what!? is he out yet? what happened!?" i asked and he smiled

"he's fine"

... What ...?

"then can i see him?"

"yeah, he's in his room"

i walk to his room and opened the door. he was sleeping but opened his eyes when i sat next to him and touched his hand

"L-Lay..." i sighed in relief, seeing him alive

"you know you scared the hell out of me?" i said and he weakly smiled

"s-sorry..." he whispered. i could see he was in pain so i told him not to speak. That's when Tao rushed in and stared at our linked hands

Tao POV

I saw her entering a room and ran to her. i was at the 1st floor and she was at the 3rd one. i looked at the number of the room and ran to the 3rd floor. i opened the door, panting, only to find her holding his hand and sightly tearing up. it really broke my heart seeing her like that, but i sighed

"T-Tao..." she started and stood up "i'm sorry" she just said and looked at the ground

"Tao?" Lay asked because he couldn't see me because she was in front of me. i sighed again and told her to come out.

"Is this why you didn't answered your phone and were angry at me?" i directly asked and she nodded

"sorry" she said

"do you ... him ..." i didn't finished my sentence and she once again nodded. i couldn't say anything else so i sighed, even though i really wanted to punch something to release my anger and sadness...

"i'm really sorry, but when i saw him... it just ... happened" she tried to explain

"it-it's okay" i managed to say and she looked at me

"what? it's okay? are you sure?" she said and i faked a smile

"yeah... go inside, he's waiting for you" i said and turned my back. i heard her going inside. i turned to see the open door and peeked inside. i saw them, smiling to each other, while holding hands. they looked happy

Lay ... you're one lucky guy...

Lay POV

I'm so happy to know that it was just a little crisis... and the doctors said it will be okay if i only take my medicine. i was healing... i still couldn't realize that ... i was healing! after 5 long years, waiting for the last day, always feeling down ... i was healing! i looked at Chanjae

And it's all thanks to you ... my princess...

we talked about everything i missed and we even laughed

Should i tell her i'm getting better?

"Hey, Chanjae..." i asked and she looked at me

"hmmm?"

"thank you for staying with me" i said and she smiled

Lay's condition was better. he has hair now, he's gaining weight, and he smiles more often now. mostly because Chanjae became his personal doctor so she forces him to eat and always talk with him every day

"Chanjae?" Lay asked as she was feeding him

"hmmm?"

"want to play to a game?" he asked and she nodded

"this is the 'what if' game, you know the rules, right?"

"of course i know"

"so, let's start! ... erm... what if~ you stayed in NY because you really liked it there?"

"wouldn't happen. my only 2 friends were going abroad and i didn't want to be left alone" she quickly replied

"okay"

"my turn" she excitedly raised her hand "what if ... you weren't sick... would you have still leave Korea?"

"of course not! yah, what kind of question is that!''

"okay okay, i'll change it!"

"nope! too late! my turn!" he giggled while she pouted

"what if we didn't meet in this hospital?" he asked seriously and she didn't know how to answer so she asked another question instead

"what if i didn't came to China?"

"what if we could be like we used to be together?"

"that would be great..." she whispered

"what if i wasn't in this hospital tomorrow?" he asked and she looked shocked

"wh-wh-what do you mean!? n-not here a-anymore?" she stuttered and he smiled

"it was just a what if question" he said with a poker face

"well that wasn't funny!" she scolded him and looked angry, or worried...

"i'm discharged tomorrow, pabo" he looked at her and she widened her eyes

"REALLY!?" she yelled and he nodded

"AWESOME!" she shouted and hugged him tightly, crying because she was too happy

I am practically healed, I have an awesome girlfriend, and we're happy ... I really am lucky ... Lay thought and hugged her back
