Prologue

--Your POV--

”Saranghae” I said.  Even though it was snowing and there was a blizzard I decided today was the day. The wind was blowing so strongly my mufflers couldn’t even protect my ears from the cold. But I didn’t need the wind or snow just to feel the cold. His emotionless eyes were all it took to throw my heart into an endlessly dark pit. I was putting my heart into the confession, yet, before it even started, it already ended.

“Do I know you?” That was the only thing he said. That was the only thing he needed to. That single sentence did it. Then he left. He left me standing there, in the middle of the street.

And I, who had to struggle so hard to get out of the hospital and away from all the fans and reporters, I, Kim you, the idol loved by all the unnis, oppas, ahjussis, dongsaengs and even the ahjummas in Seoul, me, Kim you, wasn’t recognized by my first love, the love of my life, my childhood friend, Choi Seung Hyun.

Guess it was true, what auntie and uncle said. Guess he did lose his memory after all. Otherwise he wouldn’t have forgotten. Wouldn’t have forgotten me. Wouldn’t have forgotten his promise to me…
