Chapter Thirteen

We Weren't Ready

Kyungsoo stood frozen, a chain of emotions coiling around his body tightly as would a boa constrictor. This wasn’t supposed to happen; he wasn’t supposed to be here. Yet it did, and here he was, boring his dark orbs into the elder’s. Whatever ounce of confidence Kyungsoo acquired in the examination room soon shriveled up under Jongin’s intense gaze, and it took everything in the former’s power not to reverse his steps back to his prior sanctuary.

“J-Jongin…” was all that managed to leave Kyungsoo’s lips; the male too shocked and shaken to speak out anything else.

Said boy remained in his stance, his somber eyes tainted with a mixture of anger and worry. “Do Kyungsoo.”

The short Junior his lips nervously, a bit stunned at the informal way his name was spoken. This was the first time that Kyungsoo had heard the other speak informally to him; to anyone for that matter. Not only was this a rare occurrence, it also signified that Jongin was incensed. And if it wasn’t enough that Kyungsoo felt like utter crap, he now found himself tucked into a blanket of guilt.

With limited options and desperation, Kyungsoo spewed out the first thing on his mind. “W-What are you doing here?”

Jongin immediately scoffed at the other’s words, a layer of disbelief spreading across his face. Though the gesture was blunt and impulsive, it perfectly summarized his emotions. It had been four days since he had last seen, spoken to, or heard from his boyfriend. It was a brief period of time that tormented the younger Junior; the thought of anything dire being wrong with Kyungsoo was enough to put him on edge.

His lover’s unresponsiveness didn’t make it any better; drowning Jongin into a pool filled to the rim with anxiety and frustration. So for the older Junior’s first words to him be ‘what are you doing here’ genuinely pissed him off.

“My mom had another attack on Tuesday, so I came to visit her,” Jongin answered nevertheless, the hint of sorrow in his voice contradicting with his emotionless facial expression.

Kyungsoo let out a barely audible ‘oh’ before apologetically casting his eyes downwards. “I’m… I’m sorry. I didn’t know.”

The taller male deeply exhaled in an attempt to stay calm. “I’ve been calling you since then but you wouldn’t pick up.” He stepped toward the older. “Care to tell me why?”

The elder of the two stepped back out of instinct, the chandelier of emotions in the other’s eyes making him uneasy. Both males kept their postures; Jongin awaiting an answer, and Kyungsoo hesitant to respond. Silence loomed over them, one that seemed to suffocate the latter. Was this the moment? Was this where he was going to tell Jongin? Tell him that his boyfriend of five weeks was pregnant with his child?

A shaky breath escaped Kyungsoo’s lips as he dove deeper into his thoughts. It was as though he was the editor of his own novel; cutting and pasting scenarios to see which ending would give him the most pleasing outcome. Like the dénouement that connects all of the pieces together. But there wasn’t one. To Kyungsoo, there couldn’t be one. Several pieces were still missing.

The short Junior thought about the reactions; those that he had already witnessed and those that were to come. Kyungsoo was still stuck in the rising action. Even though his doctor told him not to worry about the opinions of others, he just couldn’t take it. He had to worry; especially about Jongin’s. Any negative or repulsive reaction from him would completely shatter the expecting teen.

There was one question that branched out and seemed to gnaw at Kyungsoo. Was it ok? Was it ok to rearrange the dramatic structure of his life and go straight to the conclusion? The fact that the he was a pregnant male had not fully registered in his head. Was it ok to tell Jongin when he himself had only managed to accept the situation physically, but not mentally or emotionally? It was a question the Junior was curious about, but not the one that was plaguing his mind.

“Answer me, hyung.” Jongin’s softened voice broke the silence. “Why haven’t you been contacting me? Are you ok?”

That was it. That was the question. Was he ok? Was he ok with the changes that were happening? That were going to happen? The answer was no. He wasn’t ok, he was never ok nor would he be in a long time. They weren’t ready. He wasn’t ready; to tell Jongin, to be a pregnant male. And now all alone, without his mother or doctor by his side, he came to the realization that this is not what he wanted.  He was sixteen. They were sixteen. He didn’t want this. He didn’t want it. And he was pretty sure Jongin wouldn’t want it either.

“I…” Kyungsoo began, his voice unstable whilst he deeply inhaled to calm down his inconspicuously trembling body. “I’m fine. I came down with the flu and my doctor had me placed on best rest. My mom confiscated my phone to ensure that I rest properly, so I couldn’t pick up your phone calls.”

Kyungsoo squeezed his eyes shut as soon as the words poured out his mouth. The lie contained some truth: he was put on bed rest by both the doctor and his mom as a precaution. However, a lie was still a lie, and Kyungsoo couldn’t believe that he had just fibbed to Jongin about a serious matter, especially to his face. Not only was it a breach of trust, it was also a violation of loyalty. Boundaries the older Junior never wanted to cross. Yet he did, and there was no turning back. He wasn’t ready.

Jongin continued to eye the other, scrutinizing the short figure in his view. “Then why are you here? Shouldn’t you be resting?”

It wasn’t that Jongin didn’t trust Kyungsoo; the latter was actually one of the only people he did trust. He was simply concerned; worried over his boyfriend’s wellbeing. After four days of silence, he wanted reassurance. He wanted to know if Kyungsoo was indeed healthy and safe from anything critical. And although his sudden encounter with the elder and said male’s proclamation should’ve been enough to relieve Jongin of his apprehension, such events only arose more anxiety.

The symptoms Kyungsoo was feeling do point towards the flu. But what kind of flu lasts more than a week? Let alone five? It was a bit too suspicious and surreal to the younger. There had to be something else; another sickness or illness that was masking itself behind the flu.

Kyungsoo chewed on his bottom lip, not expecting the taller male to continue his interrogation. The former stuttered a bit, retaliating in a faltered voice, “M-My doctor called me in for a checkup. He wanted to know if my body was rid of the flu an—”

“Bull…There's more isn't there?" Jongin whispered, cutting his boyfriend out as his eyes changed their target of focus.

The older of the two widened his eyes in shock, not expecting that kind of response from the other. Flabbergasted, the only thing that manages to flow out of his mouth is, “W-What?”

Jongin inched closer before latching his hand onto Kyungsoo’s arm. In one swift movement, he lifted the latter’s arm up and shook it, the little container in Kyungsoo’s grasp now in their full view. “Flu? Check up? Since when do people need a urine sample to conclude that they’re cured from the flu?”

The short Junior stared at the other in alarm. He knew there was no way Jongin could’ve have known he was with child. Being a pregnant male was an extremely rare occurrence, and would therefore be the very last conclusion said male would jump to. However, the younger teenager’s questioning was still fearsome.  Seconds of reticence passed before any actions were performed.

At a loss of words, Kyungsoo mumbled out the first credible thing he could muster up. “P-Protein… Last time I came the doctor said I had too much protein in my urine. He wanted to see if there were any changes. That’s… that’s why I have the container, Jongin. So don’t worry ab—”

“Don’t worry?” Jongin scoffed, ruffling his hair in frustration. “You turn pale, constantly puke, faint twice, then ignore all contact with me, and you tell me not to worry?”

The raised tone of his voice, though not extremely loud in volume, managed to attract the attention of some patients and medical staff lurking the halls. Yet Jongin paid them no mind; he was too livid to care. Kyungsoo’s words made it seem like Jongin had no right to fret over the former’s welfare. Not only that, the situation was very reminiscent of when the older Junior began to distance himself from the younger. And that was a point in time Jongin refused to go back to.

“Kyungsoo… Kyungsoo hyung I care about you, ok? I don’t know about you, but this isn’t just some high school ‘fling’ for me. I like you, hyung. I really really like you,” Jongin confessed sincerely, trying to get through to his partner. “But if you can’t talk to me as your boyfriend then at least talk to me as your friend because hyung, I… damnit. Just don’t ignore me like you used to.”

His words shot straight through Kyungsoo’s heart; the perfect bullseye. It’s not that he doubted Jongin’s feelings for him. He knew that his lover’s affection for him was genuine. But for the taller male to even question Kyungsoo’s was completely absurd. However, Kyungsoo couldn’t judge; because although he wasn’t doubting Jongin’s adoration for him, he was doubting its extent.

“I-I’m sorry, Jongin. It’s not that I don’t like you; I like you more than words can say. It’s just that I’m…” Kyungsoo paused, closing his eyes. It was on the tip of his tongue. It wanted to come out. But it couldn’t; he wouldn’t let it. He’s wasn’t ready. “I’m fine. I’m ok and nothing’s wrong with me. I didn’t mean to make you worry, but please. Please don’t stay mad at me.”

Jongin sighed, and in one swift moment had his boyfriend secured tightly in his embrace. The last thing he wanted to do was hurt Kyungsoo, especially over something like this. “Just… Just promise me you won’t leave me in the dark anymore. That… you trust me enough to tell me anything. No secrets.”

No secrets. Those two words were enough to emotionally paralyze Kyungsoo. But he decided not to show the hesitation, and instead tightly wrapped his arms around his partner’s figure before answering, “I promise.”

A smile crept onto Jongin’s face. Pressing his lips gently against his boyfriend’s forehead, the younger of the two advised, “Take care of yourself, ok? I have to get back to my mom, and school is apparently still cancelled tomorrow so I most likely won’t be seeing you until Monday.”

The shorter male simply nodded, letting out a ‘see you later’ before freeing the other from his hold. After a final wave, Jongin went on his way, his mood much brighter than it was when he entered the medical establishment. All Kyungsoo could do was let his eyes linger on his partner’s retreating figure. With the younger gone, an array of questions and emotions ambushed him; some more severe than others. But no matter what inquiries he pondered on or what kind of mental state he was in, there was no turning back. What was done, was done.

Deeply exhaling, Kyungsoo inched closer to the bathroom door. In his grasp was still the plastic container for the urine sample; the evidence responsible for predicting the situation he was in. The teenager felt sick to his stomach, and it wasn’t only because of his secret. It was also because of the voice in his head that never ceased pestering him. Repeating things that Kyungsoo already knew over and over again: You should’ve told him.

“I know,” replied Kyungsoo aloud to the voice, sighing before he entered the restroom. “I know.”

“Are you sure that they’re there today? I mean school is closed.”

Baekhyun sighed and continued walking, refusing to reply to the question being asked. Due to the severity of the oil leak, and also for precautionary reasons, the school announced its unfortunate closure for the day. Not that the students minded, seeing how the school’s temporary closing entitled them to a stress-free four day weekend. Such a break was extremely rare and was thus being taking advantage of by the entirety of the institute’s student body.

However, for most of the upperclassman, today was just like the others: filled with work. Those in the management or culinary program still had to fulfill their course requirements at the café. Even though to some the thought of having to complete schoolwork on a free day would seem dreadful, those who worked at the café got paid to do so. It was a very pleasing arrangement.

“I’m positive it’s open Luhan hyung,” Baekhyun answered seconds later. “The school may be closed, but the mall is still open. Therefore they still need to go to work.”

Luhan hummed in response, his eyes wandering around the strange yet familiar scenery. It had only been around a week and a half since the Senior’s return to Korea, and there were still many things he wanted to see. In just a year of absence so much had changed, both places and people. Particularly his friends; the ‘cliques’ so to speak had made several adjustments since his departure. It was a bit overwhelming to take in.

So when Baekhyun had recommended they visit the school’s café, Luhan instantaneously agreed. Being in the acting program, the latter wasn’t able to work hands on like those in culinary or management. It also separated him from the rest of his Senior friends. Lay and Minseok were in culinary, while Suho was in management.  Therefore, his class schedule was entirely different from theirs.

“You said Lay and Minseok hyung are on shift today, right?” inquired Luhan as they entered the mall. Since his arrival, he hadn’t seen any of his friends aside from Suho and was yearning to see them again.

Baekhyun hummed in affirmation, his attention now focused on his phone. He had been on his toes all day, waiting for a response from Kyungsoo. The teenager not only wanted to know about the blood test results, but also on how his best friend was copping with everything that was occurring. Though Baekhyun was still getting used to the thought of a pregnant Kyungsoo, he honestly didn’t view it as a bad thing. It was weird and odd, but was still much better than a terminally ill Kyungsoo.

Too anxious to wait, Baekhyun whipped out his phone; searching through his contacts lists before clicking on Kyungsoo’s name and typing:

        So… how’d it go yesterday?

Pressing send, Baekhyun bit his lower lip. He wasn’t sure why his heart was accelerating its pace. They weren’t his results. However, Baekhyun couldn’t help but feel as though they were. And this was proven when a melodious buzz interrupted him from his thoughts. Unlocking his phone, Baekhyun read the text he just received.

        Well, I don’t have cancer… if that’s what you’re wondering.

Baekhyun couldn’t help but let out a breath of relief, and a blinding smile immediately crept onto his face. It took everything in him not to scream in glee, not wanting to attract any attention. The teen bit down on his tongue, feeling light now that all of his worries were lifted off his shoulders. Yet, the text still left the Junior curious, prompting him at ask:

        Then... what about the pregnancy blood test? Does that mean you’re pregnant? Sorry if that was too blunt -_-;

The brunette in his cheeks whilst he waited for a response; which he received not even ten seconds after his was sent.

I asked my mom if she could buy me McDonald’s, and when she came home she handed me a kid’s Happy Meal along with my order
>_<  I was grateful for the extra food but at the same time… I didn’t want it.

Baekhyun furrowed his eyebrows in confusion. Why the heck was Kyungsoo texting him about getting McDonald’s? Did he mean to text someone else? The teen read it over again and still didn’t get it. It wasn’t until he read it the sixth time that he figured out what his best friend was hinting at. An audible chuckle escaped Baekhyun’s lips. He expected Kyungsoo to flat out text ‘yes’, but the subtle way in which he told him was much more entertaining.

“Hey, it’s the others!”

The Junior looked up, muttering a ‘huh?’ at Luhan’s exclamation. Upon doing so, he realized that they had already entered the café. He had been so into his texting that he hadn’t taken their location into account. Baekhyun watched how Luhan approached a nearby table occupied by familiar faces: Tao, Sehun, Suho, and Lay. The young teenager groaned at the sight of Suho; he had chosen to come today because Minseok was the one in charge of Friday shifts this month. Had he known it was Suho, he wouldn’t have even suggested it.

Ever since Wednesday’s events, the relationship between the Senior and Junior took a turn for the worst. Around the others they socialized as if everything was fine, but other than that they refused to speak a word to one another. The fact that Suho turned his back on Kyungsoo when the latter need them the most, when the former was supposed to be his friend, did not sit well with him. If anything, it further proved to Baekhyun that there’s no such thing as trust. It was simply an illusion. It didn’t exist.

“Baekhyun hyung, come sit!” proposed Sehun, with Tao nodding enthusiastically beside him.

Said male nodded, shooting them a small smile before making his way towards their table. Taking a seat between Luhan and Tao, Baekhyun casually said his greetings. “Hey guys.”

The rest of them replied back with a simple ‘hey’ or ‘hello’, except for Suho, who with crossed arms questioned, “Shouldn’t you be with Kyungsoo?”

Baekhyun jeered, “Well shouldn’t you be working?”

Suho merely stared at him coolly, yet a bit irked at the other’s tone. “Seeing how you’re here must mean he’s fine.”

“He’s having a Happy Meal,” emphasized the Junior, hoping Kyungsoo’s analogy would give him a hint. The last thing he wanted was other people finding out without his best friend’s consent. “You know, the one that comes with kids toys.”

The Senior caught on quickly, and his face soon turned stone cold. “You’re joking, right? Is he going to keep it? Or is he going to get rid of it?”

Baekhyung stared at his elder in bewilderment. He had no idea what was going on in the other’s head, but he did know that it was ed up. “Get rid of it? Do you even know what it is?”

“I know what it is. It’s inhumane and repulsive, that’s what it is,” argued Suho, attempting to add as much ‘truth’ in his words as he could. “It shouldn’t exist and he needs to get rid of it.”

The others at the table stared at them in confusion; they had no clue what the conversation was about. At first, they had concluded that they were talking about Kyungsoo’s Happy Meal. Then it switched to the toy in the Happy Meal. But now, they had no clue. And after the remaining four shot each other puzzled glances, Lay asked, “What are you guys talking about? What is ‘it’?”

But his question was left unanswered. Baekhyun scoffed at Suho’s words, shifting his head to the side in disbelief. “You’re bringing this up, again? And now of all times? What Kyungsoo has in his ‘possession’ isn’t revolting. It’s natural; it’s a part of life. The only thing that’s an inhuman piece of is you and your stupid ‘morals’.”

Lay put his hands up to interject, not liking the route their conversation was going in. “Whoa, whoa. Calm down, Baek—”

“Instead of being such an insolent bastard you should try to support your friend!” retaliated the Junior loudly, giving Lay no chance to finish his statement. He was completely fed up with Suho; with all of the elder’s ‘justifications’. Believing in something was one thing, but trying to enforce it upon others was a completely different story. “You go around claiming to be a ‘guardian’ yet you can’t even be there for Kyungsoo!”

“I can’t! There are some things that can’t and shouldn’t be supported, and Kyungsoo’s problem is one of them!” Suho spat out in distaste. There was no way Suho could support Kyungsoo being pregnant. It was wrong, immoral. Not only would it affect the Junior himself, it would also affect those around him. Suho didn’t want that; he refused to go through that again.

Baekhyun suddenly rose from his seat, the chair he was sitting on crashing onto the floor loudly. Several heads turned towards his direction, but he paid them no mind. “Problem? You’re the one with the problem! Not only are you being a , you’re also being unfair. What you’re doing is taking all that pent up anger and bitterness you couldn’t confront your dad about and projecting it all at Kyungsoo! That’s no—”

“That…that poor excuse of a man’s situation and Kyungsoo’s situation are completely different! ” Suho barked; annoyed at the mention of his so called ‘father’. “He needs to get rid of it! Kyungsoo’s sixteen for goodness sake! Does he even know whose toy it is?”

“What the hell do you mean ‘does he know whose toy it is’?” jeered Baekhyun in irritation. “Of course he knows whose it is! What kind of ing question is that?”

Suho rolled his eyes, challenging the male across from him. “Well it’s not the first time Kyungsoo’s gone through the ‘drive thru’ now is it? He probably h—”

Before another word could leave Suho’s mouth, Baekhyun launched at himself at him; only getting a fistful of the Senior’s shirt in his hands before being pulled back. The Junior squirmed in the hold while still reaching out for Suho, who had fallen out of his chair in shock. Baekhyun rarely lost his temper, but when he did, nothing good ever came out of it. The teen growled, clawing at the arms around his waist in an effort to pry them off. However, all attempts were futile.

“, let me go!” Baekhyun shouted, unsure of who was holding him back. “I swear I’m going to kick his ! Is that how you treat a friend? Accusing him of being unfaithful?”

“Baekhyun-ah, you need to calm down,” Luhan reasoned from behind him, revealing himself as the person restraining him. The young adult wasn’t sure what was going on with his friend, but it was very alarming. People were staring and whispering amongst one another, and it was a miracle that they hadn’t been kicked out of the café yet.

Lay, who had taken it upon himself to help Suho up, whole-heartily agreed. “I don’t know what’s wrong with you guys but you need to relax. “

You need to mind your own business,” snapped the Junior. He knew he had no right to say that, seeing how he and Suho were discussing such matters in public. But he was furious and could honestly care less. “And Luhan hyung, let me go!”

“Just two days ago the both of you were the best of friends, and now you guys are acting like the worst of enemies,” Luhan verbalized, slowly but surely loosening his hold on the younger. “What the heck happened?”

Baekhyun pushed the other back harshly as he escaped his grasp. “This lovely ‘guardian’ here decided to show his true self, that’s what happened. But forget him; he doesn’t need to guard me or Kyungsoo anymore. Right Suho-ssi?”

The four audience members let out a surprised gasp; the sudden switch from ‘-hyung’ to ‘-ssi’ catching them off guard. However, the change hit Sehun the hardest, who was horrified to see two of his closest friends go from friends to practically strangers. Addressing Suho as ‘Suho-ssi’ implied that both males were no longer on casual terms; that they were mere acquaintances. Sehun bit his lower lip in desperation. His friends were all he had outside the confines of his home, and the last thing he wanted was to be forced to pick sides. Especially when he had no idea what was causing the crack in their friendship.

“Hyung…” Sehun began, his voice laced with anguish. “Hyung, you don’t mean that right?”

“I’m not Suho-ssi. I don’t speak bull,” Baekhyun replied, giving said Senior a cold stare. “But you know what? Do whatever the hell you want. But don’t expect us to be friends after this. And you better not tell anyone.”

With those words Baekhyun strolled towards the exit; not bothering to respond to the shouts of his name. The Junior was beyond pissed. He was livid. If Suho believed that being a pregnant male was disgusting, then so be it. Baekhyun knew it was something that not everyone accepted. In Korea’s society, there were several things wrong with that scenario. Not only was homoually frowned upon, being pregnant at such a young age was seen as scandalous and heinous. Mix those two together, and you get a situation worthy being put on the front cover of the Chosun Ilbo.

Most people didn’t even know such a thing was possible, and Baekhyun himself was one of those people. Yet when it all came down to it, not matter how superficial it seemed, the Junior saw nothing wrong about it. It didn’t matter that he had no idea how Kyungsoo was able to bear a child; that was something he could always ask in the near future. What mattered was that his best friend was pregnant. His best friend was a sixteen soon-to-be seventeen pregnant teenager. And right now Kyungsoo needed all of the support he could get, not insults directed towards him over a predicament he himself never knew could happen.

Baekhyun couldn’t say he knew how Kyungsoo felt; he didn’t nor ever would. Kyungsoo was going to enter a world of harsh change. The last thing he needed was someone shoving his beliefs down his throat. More so by someone that was supposed to be his friend. By someone who vowed to be by his side no matter what. And for that said friend to accuse Kyungsoo of sleeping around and cheating on his boyfriend was an unforgivable accusation. The Junior only ever had one boyfriend before Jongin; had only slept with one person before Jongin. But that was history, the past. This was the present, and in the present Kyungsoo had Jongin and only Jongin. The thought of him two-timing the other was nothing but pure blasphemy. Because even though his best friend had a hard time admitting it, Jongin was Kyungsoo’s first love.

The brunette let out a loud groan as he stepped outside the mall. In just two days his world went spiraling and he wasn’t even the one having a child. Baekhyun mindlessly kicked the pebbles on the ground whilst he walked aimlessly on the sidewalk. His mood had drastically dropped, and he wanted to do nothing but lock himself in the room and tear it apart. He needed someone to rant to. Would Kyungsoo pick up? The teen knew that Kyungsoo had enough problems as it was, but he was the only person he could turn to. If anything, he’d simply say his congrats.

Pulling out his phone, Baekhyun scrolled down his contacts, pressing the green phone symbol as soon as he saw the contact with ‘friend’ in its name. He huffed as the phone rang, praying to the higher ups that his best friend was not sleeping or in a bad mood. The brunette’s demeanor was calm, but that quickly changed when his best friend picked up the phone.

“He—”

“Suho-ssi is such an you know that?” Baekhyun snarled into the phone, all thoughts of ‘simply congratulating’ him instantly vanishing. “I thought he’d get over his whole ‘it’s wrong’ phase but no.”

There was shuffling on the other line before the male responded. “Wha—”

“I mean, I know that you being pregnant is a lot to take in but seriously,” he complained as he gripped the phone tighter. “Talking about how you need to terminate your pregnancy is not the way to deal with it. It’s just disrespectful and really uncalled for.”

When the teen he was speaking to stood quiet, Baekhyun took it as a sign to continue.

“And then he had the nerve to indirectly call you some promiscuous teenager; saying that the baby most likely isn’t Jongin’s, when it obviously is. That pisses me off.” The Junior breathed out, feeling a bit better now that he had gotten that off his chest. But when his best friend remained silent, Baekhyun started to regret his actions. “Kyungsoo-yah… Kyungsoo, you ok? Look, I’m sorry I ranted to you about this. I know this isn’t something you wanted to hear, but I was just so mad. He ke—”

“Wait wait wait wait. Kyungsoo’s what? Pregnant? What the heck?” the male on the other line questioned in incredulity. “Are you ting me right now?”

Baekhyun froze, his mouth hanging in stupor. In a blink of an eye, the teenager ended the call; his heart racing while he held his phone tightly against his chest. He nervously his lips, hundreds of thousands of thought whirling in his head. Out of all the contacts on his phone that contained ‘friend’, he just had to call the wrong one.

What the had he just done?

A/N: Ugh, just four words: I hate this chapter. Why? Because it could've been better :( But on a different note, hey guys! I know I took too long to update, but I had AP exams and college stuff to worry about. Good thing is I graduated high school last month so expect a lot more updates since I'm on summer vacation :) Anyways, there's not much to say about this chapter. Kyungsoo was too scared to tell Jongin, Baekhyun and Suho have some beef, Tao, Sehun, Lay, and Luhan are confused, and Baekhyun ranted to the wrong person. Oops.

For those of you who want Jongin to find out, he will very soon. I just need you guys to understand Kyungsoo's thought process a bit before he does. To those of you that subscribed, commented, and have been waiting: thank you so much! All of your comments motivate me and I read all of them. Thanking you for being patient and sticking with my poor excuse of a kaisoo mpreg fic ♥ I also want to give a big thanks to my sister Bangster90, who helped me outline this chapter and pushed me daily to finish it even though I made major changes. Love ya sis!

ALSO: For this chapter, I'll be doing a Q&A session. You may ask me anything about this story, from my inspiration to... anything really. Just ask the questions in your comments and I'll definitely reply as long as I don't have to include spoilers :D Well, thank you for reading, subscribing, and commenting! I truly love you guys!

Chapter 12: FIRST, and most importantly, please write at YOUR leisure and convenience. No one, especially yourself, should make you feel guilty for living your life and doing things other than writing here. You have a life outside of AFF and we should COLLETIVELY acknowledge and appreciate that. After all, WE all have lives beyond this app. I do appreciate when authors DO remember that we are here and come back as soon as they an to write. There are other stories that I have waited for YEARS to be updated, so I understand. I see both sides. Now to the story:

Nope, sorry, right now Suho IS on my list. We should NEVER transfer the harsh realities in our own lives to those who have no part in it. Yes, crying on friend's shoulders is very important, but to get upset for their misfortunes........especially ones that they can't help??? Suho was WRONG!!! I always try to place someone's pain "on the table" and try to look at it in 360 view and place myself in it.

Mama is stepping up to the plate in high fashion, so to speak. I am glad for her resolution and Baekhyun's unwavering support. Even if Suho comes back, Baekhyun was the better friend by NOT trying to qualify if Kyungsoo's situation was worthy of support. Kyung is his FRIEND, which means that Baek didn't have to think it over o support him; it was already in the cards for him to be a supportive friend. I would like to think that the talk that they had in "Baekhyun's Jeju" was a big part of Kyungsoo's decision.

Poor Baekhyun. At first I thought it was Chanyeol who had died and I was so hurt. When I read that it was Baekbeom, I was devastated!!!! It took my back to being by my brother Ron's side as he breathed his last. It was earth shattering and your writing pulled it all out of me. I cried and stepped deeper into my feelz. That is what good writers do to their readers. I honestly felt you saying "it's okay to cry.....again" Absolutely riveting!!!

And now Jongin knows something is afoot. I feel the awkwardness of the staring contest that the two are having. I wish Baek was there.

Chapter 11: Mama Kyungsoo has my forgiveness, but her timing still STINKS!!!!! As mama, you should have been "quicker on the draw" on showing your support and telling your kid that you hate them for even a second is unforgiveable. That second an turn into forever in their heart. Kids tend to personalize comments like that and make them grow like tall tales. He should have never known that, but it is part of the story that pulls readers in and makes us "emotional participants" and I love it.

Congrats on your school accomplishments. I know that you have done so much more by now. Keep us in the loop!

Suho is gonna read Soo the riot act for lying!!!! Baekhyun will do the same while crying. Really Kyungsoo really SHOULD come clean and tell them what is happening. He needs as much support as he can get, no matter which way the test go!!

My query is.....when is he gonna be brave enough to tell Jongin??? If it's cancer, then it's his boyfriend that is in danger. If Kyungsoo is pregnant, then it's his baby and he deserves to know.

Chapter 11: I have only read up to the part where Kyungsoo's mom walked out of the boardroom and left a devastated boy behind to deal with the terror and sadness of a possible too early parenthood at best and death at worst that is MORE crippled by the guilt that she has heaped on him and I HAAAAD to go to the comments!!! I am SOOOOO FREAKING MAD at her!!! How DARE she leave the son that she SAYS that she loves to deal with all of this alone! SHE IS A RETARDED !! Parents that walk away from their troubled children deserve NOTHING good because the good that God gave them (ie the baby Kyungsoo) they threw away!!! She should go back to him, apologize and BE THERE FOR HIM!!!!

And before you say it, I am a mom myself with a pregnant granddaughter. She was a bit apprehensive about telling me, but when I got the all and I told HER that I already knew and was exited about becoming a GREAT grandmother, she felt relieved! I do understand her shock. No, I DO NOT understand her "disappointment". Kids are going to do things we don't like; testing the boundaries of everything about their lives.

Also, I lost my brother to pancreatic, testicular and lymphomic cancers. I know the pain that he felt telling us and I watched him take his last breath in my home.

This is the emotional chaos that she is allowing him to bear .............. at age 16??????? I just want to beat the ever loving F OUT OF HER!!!!!

I like the fact that this story is just pulling me in and live every moment and emotion with the characters!! You write so well!!! It's really very compelling!!!

Chapter 10: Hi. It's about 3AM here as I read. This story is very intriguing and I love it. I am "late to the party" for reading this but thanks for the update. Poor Kyungsoo. He is taking this better than I would. Know that I will never press you for an update, but I will TOTALLY chat my head off about how exciting it WOULD be if you updated! I believe that greatness takes time and would never rush you to create something that you are not happy with just to have an update. Life DOES have to be dealt with and as an educator. I understand the critical all of schoolwork.

Chapter 8: Taorisulay sounds like a french dish! LOL I loved this chapter even better and I am willing to wait for more greatness! As an educator, I understand that life gets in the way of living and having to make a living sometimes doesn't help you enjoy the life that you're trying to make. I wish you could read your wonderful story through the eyes and emotions of your readers and understand how we really long for your literary masterpieces

Chapter 6: I know that if Luhan knew the truth he would be so upset. I wonder if he would use martial arts to kick their asses? Something tells me that HE will be Sehunnie's protector
