~~~3 days ago ~~~

Maci pouted to herself as she opened the refrigerator to find it completely empty except for a carton of milk and moldy ham

“eww seriously! I invite Sehun oppa to stay over and all of you end of visiting every day except for Luhan who totally lives here uninvited”

Luhan scoffed slightly and continued to browse the web on her computer

“Sorry sister-in-law I’ll take the K boys back to our dorm downstairs. Chen and Xiumin too Let’s go!” Suho stood up before apologizing

“oh! I didn’t mean it like that. You guys can stay!”

“no thanks we wouldn’t want to intrude” Chanyeol, the last of the group to exit, winked before shutting the door behind him

“intrude on what? You guys are so weird. Anyway we’re out of food anyone wants to come and help me with the groceries”

“I’ll help you” Kris volunteered “I’ll drive too”

Luhan jumped to his feet “I’ll come too!”

“if you want really want to. Lay gege?”

“I’ll stay here and take care of Sehun. Hurry back!”

“Tomato…salad..oh can someone grab a few apples for me”

“I’ll do it” Kris smiled

Luhan smirked, pushing the shopping cart while walking beside Maci

“Would you like to try some of these dumplings? They’re new and very tasty”

Maci thanked the lady with a smile

“Would your husband like some too?”

Luhan grinned proudly

“Ahjumma! He’s not my husband! Hmm…should we get some for Kris to try?”

Luhan’s smile turned upside down

Kris, who had impeccable timing, arrive with the bag of apples

“Kris! I saved you a piece to try. It’s yummy right?”

“Mhm! It’s yummy let’s buy some!”

Maci easily agreed and the two moved onto the next section

“oh young man, are you the third wheel?”

Luhan angrily puffed some air out of his nostrils before shoving another dumpling into his mouth

“Honey just take the bag for free, it’s my treat”

Luhan embraced the bad of dumplings then bowed to the kind lady, with shoulders drooping he followed behind Maci and Kris

By now, Luhan’s glare could be strong enough to burn a hole through Kris’s head

“Luhan hurry up!”

‘I have to do something or else I really will lose her to Kris…I mean…ughh why won’t she pay any attention to me!?’

“Maci ah!” Luhan rushed up to Maci’s side before cuddling her arm

“what is wrong with you? Are the dumplings upsetting your stomach or something?”

“Hey Maci have you ever tried homemade pancakes?”

“from scratch? Nope”

“I’ll make you some let’s go get the ingredients”

“really? Hehehe it’s going to be yummy if you’re going to cook it”

"Do you like Luhan? I've been noticing..."

“No don't worry about that, I don't like anyone besides he's such a baby, right now I’m just glad you’re my buddy who can cook well”

Maci and Kris exchanged smiles and a side hug while Luhan burned with envy in the background

‘did she just call him baby?! Oh ho ho Maci Wong get ready to be swept off your feet…literally’

Luhan shuffled past a few people before stopping in front of Maci

“what are you doing? We need to get the ingredients for pancakes then hurry home”

“Then let’s go home first! Kris can take care of the rest!”

Luhan threw her over his shoulder immediately taking off afterwards

“wahh OHH! Luhan put me down!”

‘I can’t believe this! he told me he didn’t like her’ Kris scoffed in defeat ‘He lied to me. Luhan likes Maci’

~~ONE DAY LATER~~

-No  one POV-

“If you guys don’t make up I will slap you both! I’m not afraid to!” Sehun declared “I will hit you both hyungs!”

“He backstabbed me! How could he do that to me?!”

Luhan glared at Kris “I admit that I like her but I don’t love her and I’m not dying to marry her okay?!”

“If it’s like that don’t get in my way” Kris retorted

“It’s not like I really am getting in your way. You’re going all out so she likes you better, keep it fair will you?!”

“Hyungs stop fighting! Lets come up with a solution?”

“Shut up! Just make a contract or something that stops you guys from going too far” Suho growled

“The first one to get a kiss or confession from Maci gets her. Simple right? The one who loses must backoff. That kind of contract? That never solves anything!” Sehun muttered

“are you guys really making a stupid contract?” Lay scoffed

Tao shook his head “Maci is gonna get so mad if you guys do this”

“their man pride is on the line! Do it! Do it! Accept the challenge” Changyeol cheered

“yahh” Kris hissed

“I was just kidding…” chanyeol pouted

“I’ll do it!” Luhan blurted

“EH?!” The boys exploded with shock, especially Sehun

“hyung! Are you sure about this? She will really get upset”

“Fine I’m in. As long as Maci doesn’t get hurt. So this stays a secret. Understand?”

“sounds good to me. You guys stay quiet alright?”

“yes sir!” the boys reported

Sehun rolled his eyes ‘they are so crazy…this is not what I meant by making up’

~~Present Day~~

-Maci’s POV-

The boys have been acting so strange these past two days…they’ve been hiding something from me I can feel it

“Gege! Make the dumplings! I’m hungry”

“why do you always use aegyo to tell me to cook? And why is it always dumplings?!” Luhan grumbled as he made his way to the kitchen

“Because that’s all you can cook! I’m lazy right now so take them out of the fridge and cook!”

“hyung! Make enough for me this time!” Sehun called out

“You two are so demanding.”

“You chose to live here” I retorted

“Isn’t this nice hyung? We have one more person added to our family. It’s me, Maci, and Hyung. I’m not the maknae anymore!”

“yeah yeah it’s nice”

No comeback? He doesn’t hate that Sehun oppa said that? He really sees me as family?

I laid there on the couch for a while pondering why Luhan’s attitude towards me is changing so quickly…it is impossible for him to like me since he likes gentle and pretty girls well thats what the articles said anyway…so why? 

“YAH!”

“OMMA! You scared me! Why are you screaming into other people’s ears!”

“Because you didn’t answer no matter how many times I called out your name! Look! Sehun is almost done eating all of the dumplings! If you want some hurry up and eat!”

“I’m not hungry anymore you guys eat it”

I chuckled softly to myself after Luhan’s very loud and obvious “HMPH!”

He returned after a few seconds and shoved me over so that his could fit

“huuu” he blew gently on the dumpling “here eat”

“why? I said im not hungry”

“I put a lot of hard work into making for you and you’re not eating?! Eat it! Aighhh!” Luhan’s whole body shook in disappointment

“alright! I’ll eat it. Ahhhhhh”

“hyung stop hesitating and feed her already! You made the first move!”

“Shut up! Here!”

He stuffed the dumpling into my mouth

“ahh hot!”

“hold on! Sorry I should have blown on it more! I’ll get you water!” Luhan panicked

I could hear Sehun in the background stifling his laughter

“It’s not funny! It burns!”

Luhan rushed over with the cup of water

He carefully fed me some before spilling the cold water onto my lap

“yah!”

“yah? We’ve been over this before! I’m your oppa! Be nice!”

“You just spilled water on me!”

Ding dong

“Are the boys back already?” I kicked Luhan’s leg aside so I could get the door

Stupidly, without checking who it was I swung the door open, expecting the boys to greet me

“guys I-” I gasped, panicking heavily after one glance

It was her

I blinked once and her hand had already slapped over my mouth, I began to fidget and fight back

“Maci whats wrong? Who’s there?” Luhan called out

Her eyes grew large to the sound of his voice

“Luhann! Help me!! helmpp miiii!” My muffled cries echoed through the empty hallway

“Shut up” she snapped “come with me for a bit”

I shook my head, unwanting to go anywhere

“Maci?” Luhan repeated “MACI!”

The doors of the elevator slammed right at the moment Luhan stepped out into the hallway

We traveled a few floors down to the 7^th floor

We struggled for a while in the elevator but she made it clear she only wanted to talk

“You live on the seventh floor? You must really love exo”

“No! The one I love is Luhan oppa. Can’t you just disappear and let me be his girlfriend?”

“Don’t you know the type of girl he likes? He likes gentle and kind. We’re both not like that so we both should leave him alone alright? So the only thing left is for me to leave here as anything but enemies. I’m Maci and you are?”

“Yoon Ji. Lee Yoon Ji but hold on a sec. We’re both not his girlfriend? What are you talking about?”

“I’m not his girlfriend but we’re good friends…close…I can say he’s the closest thing I have to family right now. So please stop hurting him, it’s all a misunderstanding. If it helps I’ll stay away from him as much as I can, just don’t hurt him or any of the boys, please protect all of them”

“If you’re out of the picture…then I’ll do my best since I love and care for them”

“Thanks…I guess you know where to find me to check up or if you need something. I’ll leave first”

I brushed the thought of telling Luhan what just happened away, he would probably be angry and find a way to get rid of YoonJi, she may be scary but she does care for them

This situation can be solved with peace it’s just that…I wish I could still be a part of exo’s lives, they are so important to me now

My phone finally stopped vibrating as I pulled myself away from the wall I was leaning on and began to walk towards the elevator

I exited the hallway, catching a glimpse of Luhan’s panicking face “Maci! Thank God you’re alive! I was going to report a kidnapping any second if you didn’t come back”

His long arms wrapped around me, his embrace was comforting and warm “yeah I just…had a chat with Yoon Ji, your stalker, she promised not to hurt you guys anymore”

“That’s good but the most important thing is you! Are you okay? Did she beat you up?”

“No I’m fine. You should go back to your dorm, Sehun oppa too. Take him back with you, I prefer living alone”

After getting through my front door, I stumbled into my bedroom

This is so hard to be cold to him, I already miss his random hugs and sassy atitude 

-Luhan POV-

Oh holy mackerel! She’s fine! She’s alright! Maci doesn’t even realize how scared and worried I was that she would get hurt

I inhaled deeply finally allowing my body to relax

Why is she acting so cold and strange all of a sudden? Did that girl named Yoon Ji possibly say something to her?

Should I stay? Or leave like she wants?
