“fighting!” Soohyun shouts all commandos like to us who currently helping him redecorates his book store. Well, actually it was his grandpa’s until the old man decided to give his precious book store to his only grandchild. Soohyun is – totally – not the type of book store owner though, he fits the image of karaoke or maybe fitness center owner more but since he loves his grandpa dearly, the brunette gladly received this place.

The store it’s not really big but it’s cozy and the books here are pretty much decent. There are teenagers (the nerd ones, me included) who often came here just to spent their spare times by reading some books or the not-really-want-to-come-but-I-have-to students who needs more reviews for their tasks. And we do like to hang out here too. By we, I mean it’s me, Eli, my baby brother Dongho, Soohyun, Kiseop, and Hoon. We’ve been friends for….my entire life? So when Soohyun told us about his grandpa decision to give this place to him and his plan to change it into more modern one, we more than glad to help him.

“fighting!” he shouts once again and receives none in return, again, if Dongho’s bored look and Hoon’s cringed face not counts. I chuckles as Soohyun sighs, “come on, where’s the spirit guys? WHEREEEEE???”

“just shut up, hyung.” Eli shouts when he suddenly appears from behind one of the bookshelf, throws a dirty napkin towards our oldest hyung in process.

The horror looks on Soohyun’s face when he got a dirty napkin right on his face is totally priceless. “yah!” he throws it back, “I’m the owner and the oldest one here! Where’s the respect?!”

Eli just ignores him, instead he leans on the shelf I’m currently reorganizing. He winks then give me his boyish grin, I couldn’t help but giggled and slaps his chest.

“how about you go back to your task and finish it, hyung?” It’s Dongho who speaking, not even bothers to look up as he keep helping Hoon to clean all the books. Soohyun pouts before slowly leave us, seems he get back to finish his work, cleaning the bathroom.

Both boys who sit on the floor burst into a laughter then high fiving each other. Eli laughs too.

“yah guys, don’t bully Soohyun hyung too much…” I said, though couldn’t contain the laughter myself.

“but it’s really fun, right hyung?” Dongho asks Hoon who still laughing but not fail to nods in return. “right.” He answers and they laugh even harder.

I just shook my head in disbelief.

The bells on the front door suddenly jiggling makes all the laughter stops, we converts our attentions to where the voice come from in unison. There’s Kiseop, who have only his head shows behind the glass door.

“don’t look at me like that, I know you guys have some fun and I’m not planning to disturb okay, but could some of you help me out here? Please?”

I instantly nods, “okay Kiseop-ah, just wait a second.” He smiles then the bells jiggling again when he closes the door.

I put the last book on its right position before take one of Eli’s hands. “let’s go.”

“wait, I don’t remember I say anything that implies I’m willing to help Kiseop out there.” He says in defend though his hand says otherwise by tightening our intertwined fingers. I turn my body facing him and pouted playfully, knowing that Eli never could resist my aegyo. And damn I’m right, he instantly chuckles before pulling me close to his body, embrace me tightly as his lips begin pecking my cheek continuously. “why my baby is so cute huh huh huh?” I giggled.

“yah no PDA please,” Hoon protests while Dongho don’t even care with what happen around him as he now busily playing a game on his iPad.

“you mad? Go get boyfriend or girlfriend or something.” Eli answers with an evil smirk on his lips. I laughs when Hoon pretends like he want to throw a thick book to my boyfriend direction.

“oh seems we have to go now baby, the hulk is coming!” Eli drags me quickly to the front door, leaving a very pissed Hoon behind.

“yah! Hurry up and help me!” Kiseop whines when he sees us coming, still busily arranging the tables and chairs. He looks so tired with sweats dripping all over his face and neck. Now I kinda feel bad for not helping him since earlier. He must be so tired lifts and arrange those things alone.

Since this book store it’s gonna be Soohyun’s, he plan to make this place less nerd-ish by making a mini café on the store front area. There’s a bit space between the store and the main road so we decided to make use of it a bit. Maybe we can serve mini pizza, spaghetti and milkshakes. It’s gonna be an easy task since we have Eli. Yeah, my boyfriend is really good in cooking and we all don’t mind to be the waiters (with Soohyun pay us every month, of course). I think it’s a really good idea because people will be more attracted to come visit this place.

“just sit right here,” there’s suddenly a chair in front of me, I look up and find Eli grins his handsome grin, “and watch your cool boyfriend take care of everything.”

I laughs at his cheesiness but refuses to sit like he want me to do. “but I wanna help too…”

“I’ll call you when I need help, okay? This kind of work is for men only,”

“yah, Eli! I’m a man too!” I protests angrily but Eli just laughed. “yeah, but you’re my pretty baby so this kind of work is a no no for you, understand?” I pouts.

“Hey, can you guys postponed your newlywed love quarrel for a while and start helping me? I’m dying here, you know!” Kiseop shouted, clearly annoyed.

“just leave it to oppa, okay?” Eli winks, then laugh at my wtf face.

I sighs, finally giving up and follow what Eli told me; sit on the chair he brought, watching him made his way approaching Kiseop. “are you on your period time?” my boyfriend asks and get slap with a dirty napkin right on his face by an angry Kiseop. I couldn’t help but laugh. Eli could be so stupid sometimes, but that’s what makes him more adorable.

Just sit there, watching them do all the works is totally boring. I pouted as my eyes look up, only to find the skies are kind of dark. Oh seems it’s gonna rain anytime soon.  My eyes wandered back to where Eli and Kiseop still in process to finish their works, then look up once again. It’ll troublesome if it rain.

Just a little while, I whispers to no one in particular, please don’t rain yet….please….

And what a wonderful coincidence when the sun starts to reappears from its hiding place, the skies slowly turning back into the beautiful azure ones. I smiles, silently feel happy that God granted my wish.

When I look down, I find Eli staring at me. His expression is …. I don’t know… amazed? before he realize that I’m staring back at him and he smiles warmly at me. Deciding to not thinking much about it, I smiles back then standing up to shouts;

“who want chicken as their lunch?”

Tapping my fingers while humming to my current favorite song as I wait for my order to be ready, I looked around. The restaurant its pretty crowd but not that crowd since I don’t have to wait for a long time to order.

I chuckle a bit when remembering how Eli insists to accompany me to this chicken restaurant really hard. He is so silly, this restaurant it’s not even one block from the book store. I don’t understand what’s he is so worry about? I mean, come on, what could happen anyway?

“I do believe you, you, you…. I do be—“

“ I see you really likes chicken.” Someone says right behind me, make me stop humming the song and turns my body. There’s a man probably around my age with handsome yet innocent face, the end of his auburn hair reached at the crook of his neck. “it’s my favorite too.” He continues then smiles. His eyes turn into crescent moons shaped, and I have to admit that this guy have such a really beautiful smile. I smiles back before answering,

“well actually, its for me and my friends,” I shrugged, “and this is the nearest restaurant around here, so yeah….”

“this place is my favorite.” He says, like didn’t give a damn with what I’ve just said earlier. “it’s such a shame for me to coming here not for chicken.” His face turns into a disappointed one, he pouts towards me and I feel the atmosphere around us changes so drastically. The restaurant becomes surprisingly quite. I look around and find no one there, no costumers nor the waiters….no one, just two of us. My heart beating so fast, cold sweats starts dripping upon my face and neck. This is so weird…. Where’s everyone? I took one step back….two…three…preparing myself to run.

“you know what? Thinking about that makes me angry somehow.”

Now, Kevin. I command myself. Now, run!

Too bad he is way faster, or should I say, inhumanly way faster because I’m not even have the chance to move my limbs and he already right in front of me. There are only milliseconds when I see right into his brown eyes before he pushed me against the wall in incredibly fast speed. My back hit the wall in a loud thud that I swear I can hear my bones frictions. I whimpered, my vision get blurry when tears unconsciously made its way down onto my cheeks as his palms wraps around my neck tightly.

“is it hurt?” he whispers dangerously close to my ear as he choked me even more. I couldn’t say anything just whimpered and kept crying. There’s nothing in my head right now except the thoughts that I’m going to die soon. “this is the consequence for making me angry. And I’m rarely angry, you know?”

Why did I do? I wanna ask but there’s no sounds coming out of my mouth since I couldn’t even breathe. I coughed heavily and my breath hitched. So this is the way I die? I cry even more. Why it have to be like this?

“get your hands off him, Onew!”

Hearing that, the man loosened his grip but not really releases me, he turns his head towards the source of the voice coming from. I, too, tried, to see from behind this Onew man shoulder. Wanna know whose voice is it, is he coming to help me?

He is a tall man, standing not really far from us. I couldn’t see his face since my eyes blurry because all the tears and he got his hoodie up, made his face barely seen.

Onew chuckles, “what if I don’t want to?”

“I’ll burn you down until you only ashes left.”

“oh wow, always boasting up your so called great power, don’t you?” he smirks, “I’m really scare.”

It register in my mind that now Onew’s attention is not fully on me. So I took the chance, by doing the very basic but deadly attack; kicking his bulge real hard.

“! How dare you !” he groaned really loud and I immediately run, don’t care about where direction I run into or the fact that my body is really weak right now, I just run. Escaped.

I only stop when there’s a very strong wind and I feel a sharp thing graze my upper right arm. I screams and fall onto the ground.

“KEVIN!!!” the mysterious man shouts before he attacks Onew with a massive fire waves. I just sat there, mouth wide open, couldn’t believe with what I just witnessed right now. From where the fire came from?

“!” I heard Onew curses before suddenly disappear into nowhere. Where did he go? My head getting hurt with these all impossible things.

“agh….” I groaned and grip my injury right arm, checking it and I saw a pretty deep cut within my skin, bloods dripping everywhere. I wonder what tool Onew used to hurt me earlier since it even torn my thick hoodie and shirt. A knife? Or a broken glass? But there’s no sign of those things if it’s right he throws one of those tools to hurt me. I only feel the strong wind.

So was it the wind that hurts me?

“are you okay?” the man (or should I call him my savior?) kneeled before me, wiping my tears softly. “okay that’s a really stupid question.” He placed his left arm below my legs and his right arm held my back tightly. My arms automatically made it’s way to encircle around his neck when he slowly lifts me up in bridal style.

That’s when the wind decided to blow and make his hoodie get rid from his head. Now when I can see his face clearly, I couldn’t help the gasps that escapes my agape mouth.

“you….”

Its him…. The man from my dreams. Same sharp jawline, same cat-like eyes, same long hair, same face. It’s really him…

“yeah, its me.” He smiles.

I want to ask more, want to say so many things but I’m too weak. My head throbbing really bad so I just rest it on the crook of his neck and slowly close my eyes.

“thank you….” I whispers before drift off to sleep.

“don’t be scare baby….” I faintly hear he whispers back, “I’m here now…”

so......here the first chapter haha is it weird or weird? lol i believe theres sooo many grammar errors and everything sobs i hope you guys still can understand it /le crossed fingers

aaand yes i made shinee as 'the enemy' here haha dont get me wrong, i do love shinee...even onew is my other bias haha thats why i use them since i think i know their characters well ^^
