Chaehwan smiled as she woke up in the arms of her beloved boyfriend, Kris. He had agreed to cuddle with her for the night as Chaehwan was terrified of thunderstorms and that it seemed like the rain wouldn’t have stopped at the time.

Chaehwan and Kris met 2 years ago when he saved her from drunken men as she was walking home from night school. Being traumatized by the situation, Kris visited her often, slowly creating an attraction to both parties, finally creating a beautiful relationship. They have been living together for about a couple of months now.

Being away from her parents, who live in Seoul, South Korea, Chaehwan did find herself to be a loner as she set foot in Beijing, China to study. But after finally learning the language, she adapted quite well with the help of Kris of course.  When they first met, they communicated with hand motions and luckily, Chaehwan’s electronic translator helped as well.

She leaned forward and kissed his cheek, waking Kris up from his sleep. He smiled as he pulled her closer to him, “Good morning my angel.” He kissed her cheek back, causing her to giggle.

“Good morning Kris.” She replied.

He pouted, “Aww… No nickname for me?”

Chaehwan smiled and his cheek, “I still have to think of one. A meaningful one.”

“Fine.” Kris stood up from the bed, dressed only in a tank top and his boxers. “I have to get ready for a meeting with some old friends.” He went to the closet to pick out a dress shirt and slacks. He looked at Chaehwan, “You too missy. You can’t be late again or else Joojin is going to throw another tantrum.”

“Ughhhhhh…” She hid herself under the covers and rolled around. “I don’t wanna~ I’m tired~” she whined.

Kris rolled his eyes and went back to the bed, pulling the blanket off of Chaehwan. By removing the blanket from Chaehwan, it revealed her bare legs as she slept in her and one of his shirts. He lightly slapped her , “Hurry or you’re going to be punished.”

“Are you implying you want to do something bad to me? Like in a naughty way?” she raised her eyebrow, causing Kris to turn red.

“No!” he blurted, only causing Chaehwan to laugh and roll all over on the bed. “Whatever. I’m going to change.” He walked out the bedroom door to go to the bathroom.

Chaehwan stopped laughing and affectionately smiled at his retreating back. She quickly ran out of the bedroom and hugged Kris from behind, surprising him and not being able continue to walk to the bathroom, “Mianhaeyo Kris for surprising you like that. I didn’t mean it. It’s just that we’ve been going out for a long time and we haven’t even had se-“

Kris unhooked Chaehwan’s arms from around him and turned around to face her. He smiled and caressed her face in his hand, “It’s okay Hwannie. I understand.” He swallowed hard, “We haven’t gone that far yet because I’m still nervous around you and I want to do it at the right time.” He grasped her hand with his free hand, “You understand my feelings, right?”

“Of course I do.” She smiled and tiptoed to kiss him on the lips. Kris obliged to his girlfriend’s kiss. He wrapped his arms around her to pull her closer. Chaehwan backed away from the kiss and wiggled her feet, meaning to be placed back onto the floor. She smiled, “Get ready for your meeting or you’ll be late mister.”

He did a salute, “Yes, ma’am,” and made his way to the bathroom.

Chaehwan smiled in content, ‘I’m so glad I have a wonderful boyfriend who isn’t shy to tell me what he’s thinking. He trusts me.’

After making breakfast of waffles (which Chaehwan just popped into the toaster), Kris had already finished and stood up to put his plate away. Chaehwan stopped him, “I’ll do it. Just go.” She smiled.

 He smiled back and kissed her, “I’ll be going then.” She waved at him and he went out the door.

Once Kris was outside Chaehwan’s apartment, he headed straight to the building’s rooftop. As he saw that it was clear, he made his way to the edge of the building. He closed his eyes and opened them, his vision now crystal clear as he looked everywhere to make sure no one saw him. He turned his back towards the edge and closed his eyes again. Kris did a backflip off the side of the building, plummeting downwards, but then his power took over and he shot up into the sky and took off. (like a superhero. lol)

After Chaehwan cleaned the kitchen and got ready for work, her friend Joojin, who is also Korean, called her. “Chaehwan ah~ You are out of bed and getting ready for work, right?” she asked.

Chaehwan couldn’t help but laugh at her friend’s comment, “Nae unnie.” She got her bag and keys, “I’m just about to leave my apartment now. I’ll see you soon.”

“Araso~ See you later.” Joojin said and hung up. Chaehwan made her way out of her apartment, locked the door, and walked to the bus stop to catch the bus to work. Chaehwan was a waitress at a restaurant from her usual shift starting at 10 A.M. – 3 P.M. Joojin was also a waitress but was just recently changed to a hostess.

On her way to work, Chaehwan received a text message from Kris.

I miss you >__<

She laughed to herself and texted him back.

I miss you too. We’ll see each other soon. Don’t worry. ^^ I’m planning on making a special dinner for just the two of us. What would you like to eat?

He took a couple minutes to text back.

Whatever you feel like making. Whatever you cook is delicious. <3

Chaehwan’s heart exploded with warmth and happiness.

Awww… Even though I know you’re lying, that’s really sweet of you Kris. No wonder I love you~ <3333

Kris read the message as he lounged on a rooftop and he couldn’t help but smile at it. A couple of eyes looked at him weirdly, causing him to put on his poker face as he texted her back. Kris put his phone back into his pocket, taking a deep breath. ‘I wonder what they’re here for.’

I have to go now. I’ll see you later babe. See you later. I love you <33

Chaehwan smiled at the text, quickly texted him back, placed her phone into her purse, and stood up as her stop was coming soon.  As she got off, she walked to the restaurant, entering the place to be greeted by her coworkers and she started to get ready to work.

Kris stood up from the ledge he was sitting at and faced his friends as they have arrived from Exo Planet. “What are you guys doing here?”

Lay stepped forward and looked at him, “Duizhang…” Duizhang. Kris hasn’t been called that for a while. He was use to people calling him Kris. “We need you back at Exo Planet. Everything was in order when you were there. Please come back with us.”

Kris rolled his eyes, “I left Exo Planet because I didn’t want to be a duizhang anymore. It was a complicated position. I came here to Earth for something different.” He thought of Chaehwan and smiled, “And I like it here. A lot.”

The others looked at each other. Xiumin stepped up this time, “What’s your real reason you’re on Earth?”

Kris answered, “I don’t have a specific reason. I just like it-“

Luhan waved his hand and from out of Kris’s pocket, his cell phone floated towards him. Luhan grabbed onto the device and pressed a button. The phone lit up the screensaver of Kris’s phone, which was of Kris hugging Chaehwan from behind doing a cute pose together. He smirked, “You’re in love with a human girl?”

Chen and Tao gasped, “In love with a human?!”

Kris’s eyes fired with anger. He quickly took his phone back from Luhan and glared at him, “Yes. I am in love with a human girl. There’s no law on Exo Planet or on Earth that an alien and a human can’t be in love.”

He crossed his arms and looked at his former leader, “Does she know that you’re an alien that has powers? Does she know everything about you like how we do?”

Kris looked away, “She doesn’t need to know those things.”

“Are you scared to tell her or else she’ll leave you?” Luhan smirked.

Kris’s eyes glowed black and he was immediately in front of Luhan, holding him up against the wall by his throat. “Take back what you said.” He growled.

“Duizhang!” the others tried to stop them. As they successfully pulled Kris off of Luhan, Lay caught Luhan and placed his hand on his neck area where Kris had dug his nails into his skin to heal it. His hand glowed a white light as the others pulled Kris away to calm him down.

“Gege…” Tao uttered out, causing Kris to finally calm down. Kris shrugged his friend’s grips off of him and then he took off into the sky to God-knows-where.

After Lay was done healing Luhan’s wound, Xiumin and Chen went to each of his sides and helped him up, “Are you okay?”

“Yeah, I’m okay you guys.” He reassured his friends.

Tao angrily glared at Luhan, “You made Kris gege leave! Now he’s not going to come back to Exo Planet with us! We don’t even know where he is now!”

Luhan looked back at his hand that was still clutching onto Kris’s cell phone. He smirked, “We might not know, but maybe someone else will know. Or maybe, he’ll just have to come to us.”

The other Exo-M members pinched their eyebrows together and tilted their heads in confusion. Luhan just continued to smirk as he searched through Kris’s text messages to find the human girl that has taken their duizhang’s attention away from them.

Luhan slid his finger across the screen, showing that it was calling her. “Yobosaeyo?” Chaehwan said.

Kris flew around the place for a couple of hours, of course taking breaks from time to time. He wanted to think to himself about what’s happening with the whole situation with his friends from Exo Planet and with Chaehwan. After finally clearing his mind, he made his way to Chaehwan’s place.

He landed gracefully onto the rooftop of Chaehwan’s apartment building and made his way downstairs to her place. After punching in her code, he stepped inside, “Babe! I’m back!” he announced. Once he stepped inside, Chaehwan quickly ran to him and lightly slapped his chest. He blinked in surprised and touched his chest where she hit, which didn’t hurt at all. “What did I do?”

“How come you didn’t tell me that your friends were coming over?” she said.

His eyes widened, “F-Friends?” He quickly moved past Chaehwan and saw his friends, Exo-M, actually in his living room, sitting on the couch.

They stood up as they saw him, “Hi duizhang.” They announced.

He was beyond upset, but kept on a poker face, “What are you guys doing here? I thought we said our goodbyes when I left.”

“We actually don’t think that leaving us without saying goodbye is a goodbye.” Xiumin said, earning a glare from Kris.

Luhan held up his hand, showing Kris his cell phone, “Also, you forgot your phone. We couldn’t just leave without giving it back to you.”

Chaehwan walked to Kris’s side and hugged his waist, “I didn’t know Kris had this much handsome friends.”

“There are a lot more of us handsome people back from where were from.” Chen stated.

“Really? Where is that exactly?” Chaehwan curiously asked.

Before Chen could answer, Kris said, “Well, thank you for returning my phone back to me. You guys could leave now.”

Just as Tao was about to protest, Chaehwan lightly slapped his chest again, “No! They have to stay for dinner at least. They’re your friends and you’re just kicking them out?”

“B-But-“ Kris started.

“No buts.” Chaehwan ended the conversation with Kris and smiled at the guests. “Come eat! I made enough for everyone.” Kris sighed in defeat. She stepped away from Kris to start piling the plates with food.

As she was busy preparing the food, Kris glared at his friends, especially at Luhan. “You just went too far.” He said through grit teeth. All Luhan did was smirked back in return and sat down.
