Foreword

"I've always liked you. Always. But like the point of apoapsis, we go around in circles without ever meeting."

He stared at Kyuhyun from afar, sitting on a bench peacefully eating his lunch, the usual flock of boys and girls surrounding him. His fine curls swayed along with the wind, slightly touching his perfectly creased eyelids. The boy was the epitome of perfection. He had a beautiful face, a perfect academic performance, high physical activity, and a respectable social standing. He was also so popular there were even rumors made about him. His fangirls say he had deflowered everyone of them, his fanboys say he's gay, and the others say he's all Pansy boy around his family.

Sungmin was one of his fanboys, but he did not believe he was gay. On the contrary, he believed in the first rumor mentioned.

"Hyung!" Donghae approached him from the other side of the rooftop. He just came from his closet-flirting with Eunhyuk. "Let's go, hyung."

"We're gonna be late for class," Eunhyuk followed, snaking his arms around Donghae's waist and resting his head on his shoulder.

Sungmin stood and smiled at them, "you go ahead, I'll follow."

The couple nodded and walked away.

He sighed and sat back down on the cement, staring at his half-eaten lunch. "That Kyuhyun," he whispered to himself, "why is he so out of my league?" He smiled at himself and continued eating his lunch blankly, enjoying the wind as it touched his skin. The rooftop, he thought, was the best place to refresh yourself. He looked over the railings to check on Kyuhyun, only to catch the grounds vacant. "He eats so quickly I didn't even get the chance to stare at him longer," he giggled at himself.

He feels refreshed everytime he sets eyes on Kyuhyun, although they never met his. For Sungmin, staring from afar was enough, he didn't mind. He thought it was better than openly kissing the boy's . Every time he sees Kyuhyun smiling, all his problems and worries get washed away. All his problems all go down the drain. But then he goes back home and all his problems rise back up from the sewer.

He leaned on the railings too heavily, forgetting that it was made of pure wires. Pure, mediocre wires.

When the wires cracked, Sungmin was left hanging on it for his life, staring at the ground probably six stories below him.

"What's keeping me in this world, anyway?" was the last thing he said before finally letting go of his life support.
