*It’s okay. Just run fast if he’s there.* Maeri thought as she opened the door and immediately looked around.

There were no signs of Lee Byunghun. *Looks like he’s not here.*  She took a step outside and closed the door.

“I’ll leave for now but I’ll come again to visit you.”

*But he definitely said he’ll come again…* Maeri thought with a small frown. There was a slight hint of disappointment in her face.

“Tch. He lied again.” She mumbled to herself in disappointment as she was about to walk but L.joe suddenly appeared right in front of her.

“Were you looking for me?” He grinned at her.

Maeri was surprised by him but didn’t want him to notice it so she just simply walked past him. “No.”

L.joe swiftly grabbed her bag and slung it on his right shoulder. “I’ll carry this for you.”  He told her with a smile.

“Give it back to me.” Maeri insisted as she tried to pull back her bag from him but he was too strong.

“The strap of your backpack will be torn if you continue pulling it.” L.joe warned her.

Maeri finally gave up and ended up just glaring at him. She didn’t want her bag to be broken after all.

“You’re the Student Council President of the school right? Why are you here then?” Maeri asked him in a not so friendly way.

L.joe turned to her with a smile. “Are you worried about me? You love me that much?”

“Of course not!” Maeri exclaimed.

L.joe nodded. “You don’t have to deny it. And about the Student Council, since I’m so great I have my own ways. So no neeed to worry.” He assured her.

“I’m not worrying for you!” Maeri told him.

“But I’m worried about you.”  L.joe said as he eyed her.

Maeri turned to him. “I’m perfectly fine. So just go back to where---“

“Are you in a relationship with Kim Myungsoo?”

Maeri suddenly turned serious. “Huh? What are you asking about that?”

“I saw you with him the other day. And you look pretty close.” L.joe explained. *And I’m jealous.*

Maeri felt guilt as soon as she remembered Myungsoo. Remembering him makes her remember how she hurt him the last time they met. “Were not in a relationship.  And I already rejected him.”

L.joe’s eyes lit up in excitement. “Really?”

Maeri stared at him in disbelief. “Are you happy about what you just heard?”

L.joe immediately shook his head and pretended to be hurt. “Of course not! I feel really bad for Myungsoo. But you made the right choice. You should really reject him and then accept me.” He told her with a smile.

Maeri just rolled her eyes. “Whatever. Give me my bag. We’re already at the school gates.”

L.joe carefully slung her bag on her shoulders. “Okay. Go inside now.”  He told her with a smile.

Maeri just ignored him and walked away. L.joe suddenly grabbed her hand and made her face him.

“What?!” Maeri exclaimed at him.

“Take care.” He sincerely told her with a smile. Maeri just shook her head and immediately went inside the school.

“I’ll be waiting for you later!” L.joe exclaimed at her as he waved eventhough Maeri didn’t look back.

Maeri just walked faster. *So embarrassing.* She thought as she avoided the stares of the other students.

…

At their classroom,

While the teacher was checking attendance,

“Kim Jooyeon.” The teacher called.

“Present!” Jooyeon gleefully answered.

The teacher marked her attendance. “Kim Myungsoo.” He called out.

No one answered.

“Kim Myungsoo!” He called out again.

Maeri peeked at Myungsoo’s seat. He was still absent. She couldn’t help but think that it was all because of her.

“Where’s the Class President?” the teacher asked as he adjusted his glasses.

*Great.  More work for me.*Suzy quietly sighed before raising her left hand. “I’m here Sir.”

“Go to his house and tell him that if he doesn’t attend my next class, I’ll just drop him. He’s been absent for so many times. If he doesn’t attend my next class, I’ll punish you both.” The teacher told her.

“Both?!” Suzy asked as her tone went a little higher. *This is so unreasonable. Why would I be punished too?* She thought.

“Do you have objections?” The teacher asked her.

Suzy faked a smile as she shook her head. “No Sir.” Then she sat on her chair. *Argh. Myungsoo’s so irresponsible. Because of him I’m going to be punished too.*

…

“Yah! Kim Myungsoo! Come out!” Suzy exclaimed as she banged the door loudly. The moment their classes ended, she quickly went to his house.

Myungsoo frowned as he looked through his window to see who it was. *It’s Bae Suzy.* He thought as he shook his head. “Go home Suzy.” He lazily shouted back.

Suzy gritted her teeth in irritation. *This guy is so… ARGH!* She thought as she tried to keep calm but couldn’t.*No matter what I have to convince him to go back to school.*  Suzy smirked as she thought of a plan.

“If you won’t let me in, then I’ll just go inside by myself.” She thought as she nodded and looked around. *There’s no one. Perfect.* Suzy immediately climbed the wall which was only a few meters high and landed safely on the yard.

She immediately went to the door and turned the knob silently. “It’s locked.” She mumbled as she made a face.

Then she saw the sliding window. Suzy peeked though it and saw Myungsoo. He was there, playing Tekken. His back was facing her so he couldn’t see her. Suzy fished out her phone and dialed Myungsoo’s number. And she saw him ignore her call. “You’re ignoring my call?!” Suzy mumbled in irritation as he dialed his number again and again to annoy him more.

Finally Myungsoo gave in. “Aish. Why is she calling me?” He mumbled in irritation as he paused the game before answering the call.

“You’re not really going to let me in?” Suzy asked him.

Myungsoo faked a cough. “I’m.. sick right now. Just come back here next time. Bye.” Myungsoo acted sick and immediately ended the call. Then he resumed the game.

Suzy glared at him and placed her phone inside her pocket. “You’ll regret this.” She said as she tried to slide the window. And a smile appeared in her lips. “It’s open.” She grinned as she silently opened the window and went inside without creating a noise. “You’re so dead now Kim Myungsoo.”

And Myungsoo was there, still playing not knowing that Suzy was already right behind him. Suzy grabbed a book near her and threw it to him. It directly hit Myungsoo’s head.

Myungsoo paused the game before looking back. “WHAT THE HELL WERE---“ He suddenly stopped talking because he saw Suzy behind him, coldly glaring at him.

Myungsoo straightened up and gave her an awkward smile. “Suzy, why are you here?” He nervously asked her.

Suzy smirked at him. “You’re sick huh?” She mumbled as she walked towards him.

Myungsoo immediately coughed and acted as if he was sick. “I’m really …sick.” He told her.

Suzy grabbed his hair and pulled it. “If you’re sick then why’re you playing huh?! You’re so annoying!”

“Ahhh! Stop it! It’s hard to maintain my hair! You’re making me bald!” Myungsoo said as he gently pushed away Suzy’s hand from his hair. Suzy was about to grab his hair again but he stopped her. “Stop it. It hurts. Really.” He told her as he raised his hands in the air as a sign of surrender.

Suzy just looked away while murmuring things like he’s really annoying and such.

Suzy and Myungsoo were childhood friends. They’ve known each other since they were toddlers and were close enough to wrestle each other. That was why Suzy does those to him. Myungsoo was used to it. She’s always been like this. As brutal as ever. That’s Bae Sooji to him.

“Just how did you get here?” Myungsoo asked her.

Suzy turned to him. “I teleported.”

Myungsoo lazily nodded. “Ahh. I thought you used black magic since you’re a witch.” he mumbled sarcastically.

“Witch?” Suzy glared as she was about to hit him.

Myungsoo immediately stopped her. “Just kidding.” He grinned as he resumed the game.

Few minutes later, Myungsoo noticed that Suzy was just there staring at him. He looked at her. “Aren’t you going to leave?” He asked her.

“Are you not going to ask me why I’m here?!” Suzy exclaimed in irritation. This is Kim Myungsoo's biggest problem. He's so insensitive.

“You could’ve told me why! I’m busy playing here.” Myungsoo rambled.

“You really!” Suzy was about to hit his head again but Myungsoo stopped her. “So why are you here?” He asked her with a smile.

“It’s because of you! You should go back to school tomorrow or else I’ll be punished too!”

Myungsoo didn’t reply and just silently played. *I don’t want to go back yet. If I attend school, I’ll be seeing Maeri.* he thought.

Suzy eyed him. “Is it because of Maeri?” She asked him.

Still, Myungsoo didn’t answer. Suzy nodded. “Silence means yes.”

“But you should go back to school. Are you going to avoid her forever just because she rejected you? Aish. So coward. Are you really a man?” Suzy asked him.

“You won’t understand me. I don’t get it either. But.. there’s one thing I’m sure of. I still like her.” Myungsoo silently answered.

Suzy couldn’t help but feel sad about it. *He likes her that much?* She thought as she sighed and turned to him. “I like you.”

Myungsoo’s eyes widened as he turned to her, completely forgetting about his game. “What? I think I’m hearing things. What did you say?”

Suzy stuttered for the right words as she flushed red. “I mean… since you’re so pathetic, if you want, I’ll just like you. I’ll do it out of sympathy.” She mumbled arrogantly.

But Myungsoo was still staring at her. Analyzing why this girl always gets on his nerves. Suzy felt really conscious about it and looked at the TV screen. “You’re going to lose if you don’t attack Devil Jin.” She pointed to the screen.

“Aish!” Myungsoo uttered as he tried to catch up in the game.

“I’ll leave now. And you should definitely come to class tomorrow. I’ll drop by here and fetch you. Wake up early and answer my calls.” She told him as she stood up.

Myungsoo just nodded. “Okay. I get it.”

“I’ll go now.” Suzy started to walk towards the door.

“Take care!” Myungsoo said without looking back to her.

*Take care too.* Suzy thought as she looked back to him before going out his house.

..

Outside,

Suzy lightly slapped her cheeks with her hands. *Why did I say that?!* She thought as she shook her head and just shrug it off.

“It’s okay Sooji. He didn’t notice that you were serious since he’s as stupid as ever. It’s okay. You can still hit him tomorrow.” She mumbled as she nodded to herself with a small smile.
