“Can you sing it again Jongie, just to make sure” Sungyeol pleaded

“Maybe later again hyung, I’m tired. I walked hours in the mall and baked 150 cookies, I’ll go rest for now” I said avoiding their gazes.

~No one’s P.O.V~

Sungjong left the room.

“Hyung, believe us, he was ‘The Masked Melody’ the one that sings on our favorite theater” Woohyun argued

“Then explain why I hadn’t heard him sing once?” Sunggyu asked

“Remember the day, when was it? but the day we went to the theater and we asked you and Dongwoo hyung to buy some snacks before the show starts just then, he showed up and started the program earlier or else he would leave” Sungyeol said

“Wait, when was it? The date?” L asked

“September 2, 2011, we we’re watching that so we can have some ideas on surprising Key hyung on his birthday” Dongwoo said

“And it’s settled then, we invade the diary to know the truth” L said

“You read his diary? That’s sick” Hoya said

“Curiosity ate us and we just read it” Sunggyu said scratching his head

“Boys what are you doing here? Come, dinner is almost ready. Sungjong is already on the table” Key barged in the music room

“Oh, Key hyung we…..we…..we” Sungyeol awkwardly shuttered, looking everywhere except Key

“We are here to get” Woohyun looked around and picked the closest thing near him “This” he said holding something

“A flute? You came here to get a flute?” Key asked doubting

“Oh, Key hyung, is Sungjong a light sleeper?”Sunggyu asked

“Why?” Key raised a brow at them

“You know……..So that we can lower our voices when he’s about to sleep” Dongwoo shuttered

“Good to hear that you actually care for him” Key said beaming “No, he is not a light sleeper; not a deep sleeper too but he doesn’t react when people make noise or objects falling he only wakes up if you touch him” Key said tapping his chin

“Good we can be as noisy as always” Sungyeol beam with sarcasm

“Aish, living with weird kids influence me” Key mumbled

“Hyung, we can hear you, you know. You’re only a foot away” Hoya snapped

“Aish, come to the dining room now or no food” Key demanded  

After dinner Infinite immediately went to their individual bathroom and did their thing (bathing). They planned that they will go into your room when its 12 midnight since Key told them that Sungjong sleeps early because he’s still growing. (My father is really like that).

When the clock struck midnight, they slowly got out of their rooms. Slowly they went inside Sungjong’s room.

Sungjong already organized his things and the things Infinite brought for him and already hung the small bulletin board above his study table that is right in front of his window.

“I feel like a robber” Dongwoo whined

“Coz we are a robber, we are robbing his diary for crying out loud” Woohyun retorted

“Where is it L?” Sunggyu asked

“Am I the one who organize it?” L mockingly asked

“Inside the drawer of his study table, I keep important things there” Hoya said

And they did found it in the drawer. They went outside and gathered in the living room in the floor (maybe you’re confused: their rooms are surrounding the whole floor and in the middle of it is a living room)

“September 2, 2011” L chanted as he searched for the date

Dear Diary,

Here I am today again, visiting Miny as always. She’s getting worst but I’m still thinking positive. The doctors told us that she can die in two months time. Even if it hurt, I am in no position to decide whether she dies or not so I’m just making her life to the fullest.

A few weeks before, I made ‘The Masked Melody’, I made him because I want to relieve myself from stress and to relieve my stress, I need to play a piano so I became a musician in a person that is totally opposite of me and make money to give it to the orphanage.

Anyhow, I went to a theater to play because the orphanage needs the money and I am so stressed out from all the problems I have.

Everyone grew silent. L handed Hoya the diary. They were thinking why he lied to them about him being the Melody

“Don’t push him too much boys, he’ll open up to us” Sunggyu reassured them with a smile

“Guys look at this” Hoya pointed on the last pages of the diary

Dear Diary,

I am here now writing on Jongie’s diary, describing him. What he is as a friend, how he is as a friend and all.

Well, Sungjong is our ‘Ball of Sunshine’ as you call it. Why? Simple, he makes our lives happier even in the deepest pit of hell we are in. He smiles for no reason at all; we once asked him why he always smile and he replied “Is there a reason for god to love us even if we’re sinned?” he is truly one of a kind. I never really saw him crying even if we’re in the deepest pits of hell; even he was tortured and mocked.

Everyone sees him special; after all he did pass the seniors exam; but he hates it, he hates being adored. He is the role model of our school, he never got into trouble before, he is super smart, he is friendly, and he’s never late. Even if he had bags under his eyes because he cried himself to sleep again and still woke up early to go to school 2 hours before the bell rings just so that he can come to the cherry blossom tree. We are so lucky to call him as a friend and more honored for him to call us his friends.

Jongie, I know you’re hurting so much and you’re transferring schools; don’t forget us okay? And find friends there that you can tell your secrets too because me and Eunmi is not with you anymore.

Dear Diary,

I’m writing things I like and will miss about our ‘Ball of Sunshine’.

Well, Sungjong is really a great person, he’s personality is like a rubber band, it can bend up and down and stretch on every direction; I love it about him.

When I first saw him, I thought “This kid will never befriend me, well since, you know, we, my twin and I have a bad reputation in school” but he didn’t, he didn’t care if I was mean to him or to anybody, all he cared about is that he saw true people, people who stand to their right. When he told us that, I was deeply touched, I never knew he likes that about me.

Sungjong will definitely be a good boyfriend or girlfriend coz, you know what I mean, even he is a boy but dude, you gotta agree with me if I say he looks like a freaking girl and much, much, much more pretty than the bimbo’s here in school.

Well since, you know, Miny…..he comes to school half dead every day, I grew worried about his health; he comes to school way too early (but we are too but we have a good explanation, we hate our stepmother) and goes to our usual spot by the cherry blossom tree but we rarely come there because we can’t bare Sungjong cry. I haven’t seen him cry and I don’t bother to see it because if you ask me whether I see my twin die or Sungjong cry, I choose seeing my sister die upon me than to see our precious Jongie cry and my sis agrees so no biggie; that’s how precious and important Sungjong is. It hurt so much seeing him look like a zombie every morning with a smile, how about seeing him fall upon his knees and cry?

 If someone is reading this, you better treat my Jongie good or else I’ll come to your house bring my sis with me and I will kill you, we have been into jail because I killed someone and I’m not worried to do it again, mark my words stranger.

But don’t make him cry, please because I, Song Eunmi, vow to Sungjong to cut my bad habits to please him, don’t make my efforts useless, stranger, make it worth it and make my Jongie smile
