Kim Jaejoong (26)

The only son of the Kim family and currently working at Discovery Channel’s Magazine as a photographer. Moves to New York after his parents passed away and he lives in his own apartment in New York. Looks cold but inside he’s very warm. Has a nice personality. Best friends with Yoochun and Junsu. He’s a workaholic because he wants to forget his past. He loves to take pictures, any kind of pictures. His specialty is taking real life pictures of people and its surrounding.

Jung Yunho / U-Know (28)

The son of JK Hotel & Towers owner and he’s a socialite. Has a high temper. He hates his father because his father tries to control his life. His father also has the habit of a wild social life (imagine Yunho’s dad bringing home different girls each night). He decides to run away from his father because he can’t accept the fact that his father is ing his soon – to – be (ex) fiancé. He will acts all snobbish and up but eventually.. He’ll learn that in life, there is something more than fame, money and power. 

Park yoochun (28)

Park Yoochun or Micky as what his clique called him is Jaejoong’s best friend. They went to NYU together and he with his long time partner – Kim Junsu helped Jaejoong to regain his life and stabled himself after the loss of his parents. He has passion for writing but not the usual fluffy romance type of writing. He likes to write more about his life. His past experiences, his surroundings. one of the selected few to work part – time for New York Times at first but people there loved him and offer him the job of a columnist.

Kim Junsu (26)

Park Yoochun long time partner and he’s a contemporary artist. Live with Yoochun in their New York Penthouse. Has a bubbly character and when he’s doing his job, he’s pretty serious. He loves Jaejoong as his own brother because he’s also an orphan, so he knows how Jaejoong feels when he lost his parents.

Shim Changmin (25)

The grandson of Shim Jjang Korean Restaurant (I know, lame name) franchise who met Jaejoong on the trip to The Carribean. He’ll make a cameo appearance in this fic. He lives with his grandfather in an estate just outside Seoul. He lost his parents since he was a child. He’s the complete opposite of Jung Yunho. He’s practically the ‘example’ of a perfect person. Tall, dark, handsome, genius and of course he’s rich. He’s studying in NY but lives in SK.

Mr. Jung (52)

Yunho’s father is a snobbish and very flirtatious man. Since the ‘death’ of his wife, he brings home different girls home for a random . He marries Mrs. Jung for the sake of his father’s hotel business that is once on a meltdown. After marrying Mrs. Jung, the hotel management is then taken over by Mrs. Jung’s hotel empire, JK Hotel & Towers.

Mrs. Jung (48)

Mrs. Jung marries Mr. Jung for the sake of business. She once had a lover and when she’s forced to get married to Mr. Jung, she left her lover and lives in the United States. She’s a very obedient daughter and though she’s polite, she can be fierce when she wants.

Prologue

:: Four Years Ago ::

A furious Mrs. Jung stormed her way into the Jung’s mansion because she finds a women’s lingerie inside her husband’s office.

“You… You…. Bastard!!!”

Mrs. Jung stormed into her husband’s home office and finds him bending his secretary on his desk.

Mrs. Jung points her finger towards her husband and also his secretary.

“OMG!!!! I can’t believe it!!! How low are you – you old bastard?!”

Mr. Jung lets his secretary go and his secretary and his secretary just stand there with an evil smirk.

“My.. My.. My.. Lookie Here… Feisty Nae? I like…” a sly smile crept on Mr. Jung’s face.

“Divorce me now you unfaithful ---“ *pang* a slap across Mrs. Jung face.

“Say that word again and you’ll be sorry you !”

*holds cheek*  *tears pouring* “You… You…. I hope you rot in hell you ing bastard!”

Mrs. Jung runs out of the room towards her car.

Mr. Choi, the Jung’s family butler came out to see Mrs. Jung’s shouting angrily while storming to her car.

“Madam.. Where---“

“Let me die Choi! He can rot in hell!”

“But.. Madam... it’s raining heavily out there… where are you going?” Mr. Choi tries to stop Mrs. Jung from getting out but she wriggles her way out.

“Lemme go!!! I want to die!!!!”

“No Mada—“ before Mr. Choi finishes his words, Mrs. Jung already accelerate out of the mansion.

“Oh gosh.. I hope she’ll get back safely!”

~Inside the car~

‘That !!!! I’ll make sure you pay for it you er!!!’

‘You and every you ed can rot in hell!! ing ’

‘I ing believe you when you said you’re busy with business meeting!!! Business meeting my !!’

Mrs. Jung was accelerating at full speed in the rain with tears filling her eyes and a broken heart. She had enough of her husband’s unfaithfulness and character. What she didn’t know is that, there’s a cat crossing the road up ahead. She was busy wiping her unstoppable tears, she then realize the cat’s presence.

“Oh !!” she swayed her car to the left and unfortunately, there’s an upcoming car coming from the front. 

She was too panicked to react thus, results in an accident.

::present time::

Yunho is furious at his dad’s cool attitude towards the fact that he’s ing his son’s soon – to – be fiancé.

“No dad! That’s just absurd! How couldyou?!”

“Relax Yunho, she’s the one who comes to me Yunho. Don’t blame me.” His father keeps his composure while puffing out smoke from his cigar.

“You’re unreasonable dad! She’s my fiancé dad! F.I.A.N.C.E!”

“That shows that, she’s not the right one for you my son. She told me all about it last night~ How you didn’t satisfy her~ Oh.. She’s the vocal type Yunho – ah. Very vocal.” His father said with the biggest smirk he ever had plastered on his face.

“Damn you old man! I hope you rot in hell!” Yunho was dead furious and he grabs the collar of his father’s black silk robe and that old guy remains composed and calm despite the fact that a furious Yunho is capable of doing anything to him.

“Hit me son. Hit this old man you called father. I know you want it, right?” he coaxed into Yunho’s face.

“Why.. You – you!!! Damn you!!! Argh!!” Yunho gives up after a pregnant silent crept both of them. Faces inches from each other and Yunho looks like he can swallow his father whole.

“You’re too sissy for your own good my son. No wonder your so – called fiancé left you. For – me..” His father spat in Yunho’s face when Yunho let go of his collar.

“You… Son of a---“ He grabs his dad’s collar and jerked him forward. His father still keeps a composed and straight face.

“Save your words son. It’s not worth it.”

“Just, – Off!”

“I’m sure I will.” That smug looks makes Yunho even more furious and people can practically see smoke comes out from his ears.

Yunho shoots a death glare at his father and when he was about to walks out from his father’s room, his last words to his father is:

“You’ll pay for this dad. You’ll pay for this” He scoffed.

“I’m waiting Yunho – ah. Right here.” His father challenges him.

:: 4 years ago ::

“No.. No.. No.. This can’t be happening.. Please… Tell… Me… This is NOT happening!” Jaejoong sobs his words out in front of the doctor.

“I’m sorry Mr. Kim.. We’ve done everything we could.. They lost too much blood.. and it’s too late…” the Doctor cooed Jaejoong while patting his shoulder.

“Please Doctor, saves them!! I’ll do anything! Please!!” Jaejoong begs the Doctor with all his remaining energy and pledge the Doctor for some effort.

“Jaejoongie!!! Oh GOD!!!!  Are you ok? I’ve heard the news.. Oh God!!! I’m so sorry!!!” Yoochun and Junsu came running towards his bestfriend who is pleading the Doctor.

He turns Jaejoong around and embraces him tightly. The Doctor holds his sobs from the scene that took place in front of his eyes now.

“Yoochun – ah, they’re.. they’re… gone.. Chunnie – ah!!! It’s my fault, all my goddamn fault!!!”  Jaejoong muffled into Yoochun’s chest while Junsu pats Jaejoong’s head softly to ease his heartache.

“No Joongie.. Please don’t say that.. It’s not your fault.. Please.. Calm down..” he Jaejoong’s back lovingly and he eyed the Doctor who witnessed the whole scene.

“Doctor, can’t you do anything?”

“I’m sorry.. Mr?”

“Yoochun, Park Yoochun”

“Ah.. I’m so sorry Mr. Park.. We’ve done everything we could.. They are pronounced dead even before reaching the hospital. I wish we could save them. I’m so sorry” The Doctor eyes are full with sincerity and sadness when he informs them about the news.

“I guess.. ‘Upstairs’ loves them more” Yoochun forced a smile.

Junsu’s tears are flowing freely on his cheeks also smiled to the doctor.

“There’s nothing we can do..” Junsu said to the three of them but most importantly, for Jaejoong at the moment.

“Their remains can be picked up at 3pm tomorrow. I’ll leave you for now. I hope you can make him feel better”.

 “It’s my fault.. All my ing fault!!! All the people who are close with me will leave me!! They’ll leave me, you too!!” Jaejoong cries even louder and hold on to Yoochun’s waist tighter.

 “Joongie, please.. We’re here.. We won’t leave you.. Please” Yoochun cooed him while cupping his cheeks.

Jaejoong looks in Yoochun’s and Junsu’s eyes and almost said in a whisper. “I’m scared Yoochun – ah, Junsu – ah.. I’m alone..”

“No… Hell no your not!! We’re here Joongie.. We’re here.. Please stop blaming yourself.. Please..”

“Yoochun ah.. Junsu ah.. thank you very much!!” Jaejoong hugs Junsu and Yoochun and let his tears runs freely.

Yoochun cupped Jaejoong’s face and wiped his tears slowly and lovingly while Junsu sooth his back by drawing circles on his back

“Joongie, we’re your family from now on. We’re here matter what happens ok baby? Don’t put the blame on yourself ok baby?”

“Ok… *sob* thanks…  *sob* again… *sniff*”

“Joongie, it’s nothing.. Come on, let’s go. We need to prepare for them for tomorrow” Yoochun dragged Jaejoong towards the nurses’ station to fill out forms so that the remains can be brought home tomorrow.

:: Present time ::

Yoochun whined to his best friend with the cutest pout on his face. “Please Joongie.. For me.. Please baby~~”

“No Yoochun, I have work to do.. I can’t just went missing like that..” Jaejoong tries to reason him.

“But.. But.. You just have to sit back and enjoy it.. You don’t have to pay anything… please joongie… for me….” Yoochun makes his best puppy dog eyes to his best friend who is busy cleaning his camera lenses.

“There’s nothing to make you say yes isn’t it? You are too in love with your job to make time for me! How could you Joongie!!” Yoochun faked a hurt expression to make Jaejoong pity him.

“That, my friend.. Just won’t work for me… Now, move aside.. I need to go to work..” Jaejoong pushes his best friend aside.

“How mean! Pfft!” Yoochun puffed out his cheeks to make his fake expression even more believable.

“Yeah, yeah.. Whatever dude.. Need to work.. Bye.. Lock the door on your way out ok?”

‘We’ll see bout that Joongie.. I’ll make sure you go on that ship!’
