Flashback 14 years ago

“ seohyun, please stop crying” eight year old yonghwa said as he saw the most important six year old girl in his live crying her heart out. He couldn’t help but to feel so helpless, he has always hated seen girls cry but seeing seohyun in tears pained him so much. Yonghwa couldn’t understand why he felt like his heart was being ripped apart seeing her cry, but it must be for strong brotherly bond he feels toward her.

“ min..Minhae oppa, but I can’t help it” seohyun said as she tries to clean her face from those tears. No matter how much she wanted to stop crying, her body just wasn’t cooperating with her today.  She didn’t want her oppa to think she was a crybaby yet she couldn’t help it, her dad was leaving today and so is her reason of happiness. Seohyun couldn’t help but to feel less important compared to her parent’s business, yet they always seem to find the excuse that they were doing it for her benefit.

Yonghwa didn’t know what to do but one thing was sure, he hated seeing that pain expression in her eyes. He brought her close to him, and envelop her in a tight hug, trying to let her feel how much important she is to him. “ Shhh its ok, just know that I will never leave your side...you are too important to me and I hate seeing you so sad” yonghwa said as he caress her beautiful face. Her eyes that even though reflect so much sadness can still be able to sparkle. Right there, he swore he would do everything in his power to always make her smile.

“ Don’t promise something you cannot fulfill oppa” seohyun said with sadness in her eyes. She was tired of being fool by her parents, they always promised that they will never leave her side yet, they never fulfill their promise and left her hanging every time. 

Yonghwa frowned at her lack of trust in him. They have practically grown together since they were born and in his eight years of existence he has never broken any promises to seohyun. “ I’m not making a promise in vain seohyun, a member of the Jung family never makes a promise if they don’t intend to full fill it.”

Seohyun could only smile at his remarks. He surely knows how to make her smile in her darkest moment. It seems that every time he says something, she have her hopes up and she believer anything he says foolishly. “ Are you sure Oppa?” seohyun asked again as to reassure herself that she is not hearing things.

“ Neh I, Jung yonghwa promised to take care of you forever and always,” he said as he took her hand and give her a peck in her temple and a cheek. Yonghwa didn’t know what came over him to kiss seohyun but he sure doesn’t regret it and she seem not to mind at all.

Her eyes reflect how much happiness she was filling right now. “ You make me feel like I’m the most precious girl in this world.” Seohyun said as she giggled at her silly thoughts. Yet it was true that yonghwa was the only person that make her feel so special; like if she was his world just like her dad will make her feel whenever he will sing a lullaby before she went to sleep. But like every dream, she was bound to wake up from the reality and just as she was sad to wake up knowing that her dad left her once again, seohyun couldn’t help but to be afraid if yonghwa were to leave her side.

“ That’s because you are the most precious girl in my eyes seohyun.” Yonghwa said with sincerity in his eyes as he holds on to her tighter.

Seohyun could only shake her head. “ That its what my dad said to me. That I’m his special girl yet he always leave me to go abroad,” she said with little tears threating to fall again.

“ Then I will replace him when he’s absent.” Yonghwa said as he brushed away her tears. “ You will be my special girl.” He said with a toothy smile that only Jung Yonghwa was capable to make.

“ Special girl?” seohyun said in confusion as her cheeks started to fill hot.  Somehow the way yonghwa mark her as his ‘special girl’ make her blushed for strange reason.

Oblivious to seohyun’s embarrassment, yonghwa could only smile and give her his most boyish smile. “ Neh, but now that I think about it, you are more like my baby since you are younger than me and your cheeks are so adorable”

Seohyun snorted at his silliness. “ I’m only two years younger you know! “ seohyun said as she crossed her arms and glared at yonghwa.  “ Besides I’m not as cute like those girls who are always chasing you around.” Seohyun said as she try to remind him and herself that a tomboyish girl like her are nowhere near cute neither adorable.

Amused at her change of feelings, will be an understatement to what yonghwa was feeling right now as she watch seohyun go from a cry helpless baby to a mad and childish girl. Yet he couldn’t help but to smile, she just looks incredible cute even when she’s glaring at him. “True, you are way cuter than any of those girls will ever be.” yonghwa stated.

“ I think you are blind. No boy has ever wanted to be my friend besides you, and besides I have always been marked as the tough tomboyish un-girly seohyun.”

“ Oh but that does not take the fact that you are a girl. If you could only wear more dresses maybe you will see how beautiful you are seohyun” yonghwa said. True seohyun has always been tomboyish, but that doesn’t mean she is nowhere near pretty. In fact those beautiful brown orbs of her, can give so much spark that its hard not to stared at her and be mesmerized by her angelic, peaceful aura.

End flashback---

“ Miss Park we will be arriving Korea in ten minutes” The fly attendant informed brought a glass of water.

“ Thank you” seohyun said as she smiled to the fly attendant. She couldn’t help but to feel happy to be back home after four years of leaving her home country. Recalling all the happy moments she had with yonghwa, seohyun couldn’t help but to feel giddy and surprisingly impatient to see him so much. How much she have missed her best friend; her first love yet she knows she made the right choice when she decided to do her college in the states.

“ Did you missed me too, yong oppa?” seohyun said as she looked in to the sky. She could only smile and laugh; for surely when yonghwa sees her again he probably will not recognize the bubbly, tomboyish girl she was younger. 

A/N: And I wasn't going to update this, but since I felt sorta guily for Arranged marriage, update ( yonghwa's proposal) I thought I should cheer you guys up with this sorta nice update hehe ^^/....Please tell me what you guys think and hope you guys like this story, I have my linear algebra exam tomorrow so I wont update Arranged marriage but I will do it soon ( as well with heartbeat, still editing that chapter )
