“I’ll be back even before Mom and Dad come home. Don’t worry too much,” The older girl soothed the nervous maknae.

                “They already told us not to go outside. They will surely get angry if they’ll know about your jaunt,” the younger girl kept on reminding her older sister.

                “Sissie, this would be last time I’ll escape. I will never do it again. Promise,” said the eldest while raising her right palm. “This will be the last time I’ll go fangirling Yong Hwa and his Indi band.”

                “But, unnie-“

                “And I also promise to help you tell mom and dad to quit training and go study abroad,” the older one promised. “That’s what you want, right?”

                “Okay, but keep your word to be back early,” the younger one finally gave up from the bickering.

                “Promise.”

The older girl around eighteen years old happily went out from their house as she went to take a cab going to the underground music festival held at an open area around Gangman.

                It was snowing that time that made the taxi driver drive slowly.

                “I’m getting late, ajhussi. Can we speed up?” she asked politely.

                “Sorry about that Agassi, but the road is really slippery. I can’t speed up,” the taxi driver informed her.

                She has no options but to follow the driver, she doesn’t want to meet an accident neither.

                They were about a few buildings before the venue when a problem ahead of them made the road on halt.

                “How long will it take to get that car away, ajhussi?” she asked the driver.

                “I guess about thirty minutes. The car was stuck below the large truck. It would be best if you walk from here, Agassi. It would only take you about five minutes even if you’ll just walk,” the driver informed her.

                She hurriedly got her money from her clutch bag and paid the taxi driver. She ran to the sidewalk and began half running, half walking to the said venue.

                She can almost hear the music that the band is making when she noticed that she’s on the other side of the road. She was rushing too much earlier that she did not become aware of going to the wrong sidewalk.

                So she hurriedly crossed the road without paying attention on the cars coming. She was in the middle of the road when she heard a speeding car approaching. She turned towards the car and what she can only see are the bright lights of the car.

                She thought she heard the screaming of the people at the open area a few meters away, cheering Yong Hwa and his band, but what she actually heard are the screaming of the people who had seen the catastrophe that will soon be happening to her.

                The younger girl can’t calm herself when her older sister left.

                She’s really afraid that their parents might arrive and caught her sister escaping. Both of them will be reprimanded for sure – her sister for escaping while she did not stop the older one from going.

                Their parents went to a party and told them not to go out. Accidents are usual every winter since the weather is making the roads slippery. The sisters promised their parents that they will not go out. But due to the stubbornness of the older one, they broke the promise.

                She sat on their living room and thought of ways what to tell her parents when they’ll arrive ahead of her older sister. Until she unconsciously fell asleep on their sofa because of exhausting herself from the whole day training they had.

                She was startled when she heard the loud ringing.

                She thought it was their doorbell, thinking that her mom and dad might arrive but she was relieved when it was the phone.

                “Yoboseyo,” she answered.

                “Is this the Seo Residence?” asked the man’s voice.

                “De, what can I do for you?” she asked. She was beginning to feel something strange but she doesn’t know what it is.

                “This is officer Choi from District 23,Seoul Police Department. Is Mr. and Mrs. Seo there?” asked the voice.

                “Aniyo, they are out,” the girl answered.

                “How are you related to Seo Eun Soo – ssi?” the voice followed up.

                “She’s my older sister, waeyo?” she was feeling the cold feeling on her nape and icy sweats were going out from her body as well.

                “I called to inform you that Seo Eun Soo – ssi met an accident and was brought to the hospital...” there was a pause and the officer continued. “... but she didn’t make it.”

                That was when all the tears clouding her eyes fell to her cheeks rampantly.

                Denying the fact that her sister just died.

                “There’s no one to blame but you Yong Hwa...I’ll see you soon,” the girl ought.
