Four
Her"You look like your soul just got out of your body." says Jessica, completely aware of what just happened. Taeyeon wish she could laugh it off but she'd just look even more weak.
"Where are we going?" she asked the brunette.
"I don't know, actually. I just dragged you out of there so they wouldn't see you." Jessica responded. "I'm not ready for some drama in the apartment."
Taeyeon looked down, specifically, on their hands. It feels warm having Jessica's on hers but she doesn't feel anything special about it. It's only different with Tiffany. Taeyeon thought.
"We shouldn't have left them there. Alone." Taeyeon told the other girl.
"Why not?" Jessica wondered why but eventually assumed what Taeyeon meant despite not stating a reason. "So we could hear them having ? No way."
With that, Taeyeon stopped in her tracks and removed her hand from Jessica's grip. "That's not funny." her voice sounded weak.
Jessica then realized it was the worst time to throw out words like that. The pain is visible in Taeyeon's eyes, as if she's the one who has hurt her. She lets out a sigh before saying, "I'm sorry."
She didn't think Taeyeon would be this sensitive. She wanted to tell her that couples can do whatever the hell they want to and she has no control over that but she doesn't want to add to the girl's pain.
"I'm sorry, okay?" she apologized once again before holding her hand. "I'm not letting you go back there. Stop being an idiot for once."
Taeyeon did not say anything no more and let Jessica lead the way again until they reached the bus stop. There was silence, not comfortable nor uncomfortable. Just pure silence.
Jessica could not think of a better way to comfort the girl other than dragging her out of their apartment. She's not really a good talker when it comes to these things because she, herself, shuts everything out whenever 'drama' occurs. She doesn't pity Taeyeon, she just wants her to stop being a martyr.
"Why did he have to show up now?" Taeyeon suddenly broke the silence as she looks down on her feet.
"So much for being the worthless boyfriend." Jessica says with a hint of annoyance. Just the other day, they were making fun of Nickhun for not putting an effort to be with Tiffany and now he's actually here. It's as if he heard them and proved himself he's more than that.
"What was her reaction? Was she happy?" Taeyeon questions the girl beside her although she already knows the answer.
Jessica rolled her eyes, "Look, we went outside so you could stop thinking about them yet you keep on asking me questions. And I bet you already know the answer to that. Why do you love hurting yourself?"
Taeyeon couldn't utter a word again. She's starting to feel that Jessica's getting annoyed now. When they were about to ride the bus, Jessica's phone started ringing.
"Is it Tiffany?" Taeyeon asked but Jessica proceeded on answering the call, ignoring Taeyeon's question.
"Jessi, are you outside?"
"Why?"
"Why didn't you tell me? I could've gotten with you."
"I'm just gonna buy something. Aren't you glad I've given you privacy?"
Taeyeon could hear Tiffany laughing on the line but quite couldn't catch up what she's telling Jessica.
