It became Friday evening. The courses were all over and the boys decided to not go out this night, because they all needed to pack their stuff and get ready for the trip tomorrow. Kai had not told his friends that the seniors would be there too. They stood in front of the faculty and were about to see each other off.

“Alright, let’s meet at the campsite at 5:30 a.m. everyone.” Xiumin said and held tight his bag.

Chen put his arm around the shoulders of the cat eyed beauty and pulled him closer with a grin. The two had become a lot better since they went to the therapy sessions together. The prankster leaned in for his neck and kissed his curly hair. Xiumin blushed but did not pull back either.

“Look at you! You are no longer hiding your affections.” Yixing stated with a bright grin and the others laughed to it.

Chen pulled back from the kiss and smirked all amused. He told his friends that they needed to be careful with other students around, but since there were none here, there was nothing they should be scared of. Xiumin nodded with rosy cheeks. They no longer wanted to hold back in front of their friends.

“Tsk.” Luhan hissed all jealous about the boys having their perfect matches, pouted and crossed his arms.

Tao chuckled and put his arm around the cute dancer. He squeezed his cheek and told him not to show his jealousy that much. Suho kept the martial artist in his eyes. He liked Tao, but Luhan was still suspicious.

“Uhm… Have we agreed on everything?” Baekhyun asked and scrolled through his notes he had created for a checklist with all the things they needed to take to the campsite.

Chanyeol stretched his arms and yawned. He was tired and tilted his head and placed it on the shoulder of the skilled pianist.

“Baek, just make sure that your voice is okay.” Sehun said with a blank expression, “You gotta sing with Soo.”

Baekhyun lowered his brows and nodded determined. Kyungsoo blinked several times as he was not confident singing in front of everyone. Sehun noticed that he felt a little uneasy about it and instantly put his arm around his waist to pull him closer and placed a kiss on his dark hair. Kyungsoo blushed and the others laughed again. Luhan squinted his eyes, kept pouting, and looked to his feet.

“Oh, if Baek sings, I’ll play the guitar.” Chanyeol added and grinned cutely, as he straightened himself and suddenly felt no longer tired.

Baekhyun giggled and patted his back as he felt proud of his boyfriend.

“You- You are going to play the guitar?” Xiumin asked all surprised.

Chanyeol nodded with a smile. He was done with his past and Kris. He no longer feared it. He was ready to play the guitar again.

“I’ll bring along my guitar too.” Yixing said and grinned all hyped about it.

Luhan briefly glanced at him in surprise and smiled lightly. Chanyeol nodded and Suho punched Yixing’s arm softly, as he felt proud of his friend too. Kai sulked a little as he stood there all alone.

“Aww… don’t look like that Kai!” Chen suddenly said and put his arm around the shoulders of the sulking junior, “We won’t make you feel like the 11th wheel.”

“Eleventh?” Xiumin questioned and looked at all their friends.

He finally realized that their small group of friends had grown in the last few months a lot. They had a rocky path and got to know each other better through the years but right here right now, they were indeed good friends. Although, Luhan was sometimes still an annoying brat. Kai still sulked, but in his mind he laughed at all of them. They did not know about the seniors coming, thanks to Jungah and Onew’s decision. Then the boys hugged, bumped their fists, and walked away. Sehun, Kyungsoo, Baekhyun and Chanyeol went back together as they lived at the same dorm building near the faculty. Suho, Yixing, Xiumin and Chen walked back to the other student residence, and Luhan, Tao and Kai went to the bus stop and waited for the bus.

Kai sat on the bench at the bus stop and looked up to the bright display. The departure times were listed on it. Tao took place next to him and poked his shoulder. Luhan stood a little further away from them, with his arms crossed.

“Kai… I’m sorry that the others won’t let senior Taemin tag along…” Tao apologized and pouted cutely, “If it were me, I would vote for a yes…”

Kai smiled cutely and lowered his head as he held tight to the handle of his bag. Luhan approached them suddenly and sat to Kai’s other side. He turned to the boyfriend of Taemin and put his arm across his body, to place his hand between the thighs of Tao and Kai. The sun-kissed student leaned back a little as he felt intimidated by the foreign boy’s sudden approach. He was too unpredictable. Luhan squinted lightly and leaned forth to look him straight in the dark eyes.

“Hah! Senior Taemin is coming to the camp, right?!” he shrieked and pulled back.

Tao lifted his brows and tilted his head in confusion. Kai’s face turned pale to the words of Luhan. The dangerous student had noticed it.

“Tsk.” Luhan hissed all annoyed and crossed his arms in total jealousy, “Alright. Don’t worry. I won’t tell anybody about it. I’d like to see him there.”

Kai straightened himself and looked at Luhan with a frown. Tao jumped up as he wanted to make sure to act fast if they were to fight.

“Haha!” Luhan suddenly laughed and patted Kai’s back, “I’m just joking, chill!”

Kai knit his brows and brushed off the hand of the cute dancer. Tao gulped as he did not want the atmosphere among them to tighten. Luhan stared at his avoided palm, clasped his hands and fidgeted. He lowered his head and pouted again. Then he breathed a deep sigh and turned around to look at Kai.

“I- I haven’t apologized to you properly yet…” he admitted and clenched the corner of his lips, “I- I really have been an to you… I- I tricked you into thinking that Taemin and I… Ugh, I hope that you can forgive me… I really am working on it… I won’t ever in between you guys anymore… Jongin… I’m really very sorry…”

He got up and bowed ninety degrees to the skilled dancer. Kai clenched his fists and frowned first, then he lifted his arm and pulled back his arm to swing a punch. Luhan glanced at his fist and shut his eyes as he waited for a firm blow. Tao tightened his teeth and raised the inner corners of his brows in worry. Kai swung his fist and stopped right an inch away from Luhan’s face. He then suddenly grabbed his cheek and squeezed it with the cutest smile ever. Tao’s eyes doubled in size as he had for sure expected a firm punch, but Kai had surprised him once again. Luhan blinked his eyes open and instantly blushed to the sudden touch on his cheek. His breath broke. He had not expected Kai to accept his apology this fast. His cute smile influenced him and made his heart flutter.

“Luhan… If you promise me to behave from now on…” Kai told him and tightened the squeeze a little, “If you promise me not to mess with any of my friends and I, I’ll consider you never did anything like that.”

Tao’s lips formed a happy smile, and Luhan’s eyes grew bigger in size as he could not believe how good of a person the sun-kissed junior was. After all that he had done to him, Kai smiled cutely, pulled his cheek a little and let go. Then the bus arrived, and they got on it to drive off together.

Back at home, Kai went straight into the shower. He washed up, put on some comfortable loose clothes and then walked to his room and packed his stuff. Jungah and Onew were not home, as they had gone out to buy meat for the barbecue they had planned for tomorrow. They wanted to feed the whole crew, including all the juniors, who did not expect them. Taemin was not home either, as he had to visit his parents first. When Kai was done packing, he looked around in his room and noticed that the senior had put his dirty clothes over the chair. It had piled up a lot. Kai sighed as he put them into the laundry basket. Then he glanced at the piano and walked up to it. He opened the lid and brushed his fingers over the keys. He smiled as he once more realized that his amazing boyfriend had managed to make him play again. He took place on the seat and put his foot on the pedal and his fingers on the keys. Kai took a deep breath in and played it effortlessly. The beautiful melody of the piano filled the dimmed room.

As he pressed the keys, someone surprisingly wrapped his arms around his waist all tightly and made him flinch. It was Taemin, who buried his face in Kai’s neck and sighed.

“Keep playing…” he whispered with a sad tune to his voice.

Kai his lips in confidence and nodded gently. He played for a while, with Taemin still holding onto him from behind. Only a sweet melody and their silent breaths could be heard. Then the handsome player let go and walked back to their bed. He sat on it and watched his boyfriend in silence. When Kai pressed down the last key, he turned around and looked at Taemin. Their eyes met and Kai immediately noticed that something was not alright. He closed the lid of the piano, got up and approached his boyfriend.

“Tae… what’s the matter?” he asked and knelt in front of him and placed his palms on his lap.

Taemin sulked and held Kai’s hands.

“Nini… I- I had to lie to my parents about you…” he explained and sighed in despair, “My parents think that I’m seeing a girl…”

Kai cleared his throat and bit his lips nervously. Then he put his palm on the senior’s forehead and got up a little, to approach his face. Kai first smiled, then brushed back the blonde strands of hair beneath his palm, closed his own eyes and placed his forehead on Taemin’s. He knew exactly how hard it was to tell a parent about this matter. Kai still suffered from his experience, after all, his father had tried to kill him.
