"Fany?"

Taeyeon went to check the kitchen, but no one was there. He then noticed a pot on the kitchen island and found a note on it.

'Hi honey. Sorry for not waking you up today, I don't have the heart to wake you up when you're sleeping so comfortably. Anyway, I had to go a little early for work, but I made your favourite breakfast. Simply reheat the soup again. And let's have lunch together today. Oh, invite Yuri too. It's been a long time since I've seen him. I'll wait for you at the clinic. - Love, your cute wife <3

Taeyeon pouted "She can just wake me up"

He sat at the kitchen island and ate his breakfast alone without Tiffany's company that morning before going to work.

"I got you a coffee"

Taeyeon turned around his chair from the shelf behind his desk to see Yuri placed a cup of coffee.

"Thanks, I really need this right now," Taeyeon said as he placed the file on the desk and sipped the coffee. He breathed a sigh of relief.

Taeyeon glanced at the time. It was around 9.30 a.m. "What have you been?" He asked.

Yuri went to his desk and switched on his computer. "Forensic. I went to receive the lab results for the murder case at the golden apartment yesterday. Didn't you get my message?"

Taeyeon took out his phone and noticed the text from Yuri. "Sorry, forgot to check my phone," he apologized before scanning the workplace. "Today is a really quiet day. What happened to everyone? Sooyoung is also not here yet " he said, referring to one of his teammates.

Yuri shook his head. "I'm not sure. I haven’t seen him too. Why? You're missing us, aren't you?" Yuri smiled as his gaze was drawn to the computer screen.

"Kinda. Usually, that shikshin is the loud one in the office"

Yuri just let out a small chuckle.

"By the way, Yul, what are you doing today?"

"Me? I need to prepare a slide on this murder case for this evening's meeting. Why?"

"Nothing, just asking. Ah right, Tiffany and I are going to eat lunch together. She's inviting you too"

Yuri lifted his eyebrows "Why so sudden?"

"Just because. We haven't had lunch together in a long time."

"Am I not disturbing you two?"

"Obviously not. Tiffany said that she hasn't seen you in a long time."

"Arasso, arasso. I will join you two."

"Great, I'll let her know."

Taeyeon sent a message to his wife before he rose up.

"I need to meet prosecutor Lee now. I'll be back before lunchtime" Taeyeon informed him.

"Okay, meet you later"

"She hasn't read it yet?" Taeyeon frowned when he checked the message on his phone. There was no reply from Tiffany yet. Taeyeon then trying to call her but her phone was turned off

"Maybe she's busy," He thought to himself. This wasn't the first time Tiffany didn't answer his call because she was always busy with her patient. He walked into the station

"Yul, let's go. It’s almost lunchtime" Yuri glanced up and saw his friend already waiting for him at the office entrance.

He switched off the computer. "Coming"
