Tuesday

The next day every one got back to their normal lives, or so they thought. Jaehee arrived in their classroom, walking a bit slowly towards her seat, wary if Hyewon would greet her or not. But it seems that they are still "not friends" as the other didn't even spare a glance towards her and just continue to write things in her notebook.

Jaehee then proceeded to her seat at a normal pace and greeted other classmates on her way. Once the bell rang, everyone scattered to settle on their own seats. The teacher soon arrived and greeted them as usual "Today, a new student will be joining us" the teacher said and this immediately started whispers among the students. "Settle down, class. I will now introduce her" Ms. Kim looked at the door to call the said student  "You may now come in"

The students watched in anticipation and a number of gasps and more whispering started as the new student entered the room. The teacher need to remind the students again to quiet down as the new student was now standing in front awkwardly

"Jihyo-unnie?" Hyewon asked a little bit loud making the new student's brows creased in confusion. Jaehee on the other hand was as shocked as Hyewon and just stared at the girl in front

"Class, this is Hyo Jihan. She recently moved here in Seoul from Anyang. She was previously homeschooled so I hope you will be all nice to her" The teacher said and turn to Jihan for her to make her own introduction

"Hello! My name is Hyo Jihan. My family recently moved from Anyang. As the teacher said, I was homeschooled due to our frequent movement. But after learning we would stay longer here, my family decided to enroll me in a normal school. It's been a while since I attended a class like this so I hope we can all be friends" She said, showing her bunny teeth as she smiled.

Jaehee and Hyewon were still shocked. The girl looks insanely like Jihyo from her eyes, her face shape even her bunny teeth. But both of them noticed her different voice. It was different with Jihyo, it was deeper, sounded hoarse as if hearing Jihyo when she was sick.

"Aren't you Jihyo?" one of their classmates asked the new girl.

"Huh? Who's that?" Jihan answered in confusion and looked at the teacher instead

"Well, class, she's not Jihyo" Ms. Kim told her students before turning to the new girl "Jihan, I'm sorry it was just that we have a previous student that looks like you and her name was Jihyo" the teacher answered 

"Ohh, she really looks like me? I want to meet her. Is she in another class?" she innocently asked the teacher, who's expression changed

"Unfortunately, she's not in this school anymore" 

"I see" Jihan nodded, noticing the change in the atmosphere inside the class 

"Anyway, you may now take your seat" the teacher gestured to the only vacant seat at the back of the room, just beside Jaehee's.

Jaehee looked at Jihan who was now walking towards her seat. She really looks like Jihyo and Jaehee has never been confused about how that can happen. Jihan, upon noticing Jaehee's obvious staring, showed a smile and waved at her upon taking her seat "Hi!"  she said enthusiastically

Jaehee just bowed a little and glanced at Hyewon who was a bit farther from them but was also staring back.

The morning classes ended and the bell for lunch rang exciting every student. Just as the teacher set out of their classroom a bunch of their classmates surrounded Jihan asking different questions about her.

Jaehee tried not to be so nosy on this new girl and just prepared her phone and wallet ready to eat out.

“Jihan, you really look like Jihyo” a few of their classmates repeatedly say and Jaehee couldn’t help a roll of her eyes, the girl pretty much know about it, there was no need to rub it in her repeatedly

“Do we really resembled that much?” Jihan asked curiously

“Yeah! It’s so crazy! Right Jaehee?” one of their classmates mentioned  and everyone’s attention including Jihan’s fall to Jaehee who just stood up from her seat

“Jaehee was one of Jihyo’s closest friend” another classmate said and Jaehee did not miss how Jihan’s face lit up. Or sort of. Maybe her eyes are playing with her. She thought.

“Uh, yeah. Kinda crazy” Jaehee just answered and suddenly Hyewon showed up and pulled Jaehee

“Jaehee unnie! Let’s go” the younger said

“Eh?”

“Oh! You called me Jihyo earlier” Jihan said to Hyewon

“That’s Hyewon, Jihyo’s friend as well” the same classmate commented

“Sorry. I was just shocked. Anyways, were in hurry. See you!” Hyewon told her classmates and pulled Jaehee out of the classroom

“Uhm where are we going?” Jaehee confusedly asked whille being dragged by the taller girl

“To the unnies”

“What?”

“We need to tell them. About that girl” Jaehee was still confused

“But why?”

“Maybe Jihyo’s not really haunting us. And, I feel something is weird about that girl” Jaehee was about to  ask more but Hyewon already let go of her hand upon reaching the building where the third years are. “Go to Jimin unnie’s room! I’ll go to Soojin unnie. Let’s meet at the cafeteria!” the younger instructed as she ran and dissapeared in the crowd of students

And that’s when Jaehee realized thay Hyewon left her to collect her three unnies. Jimin, Jiyoon and Soeun. Just thinking about it make her head hurts already. “This is so unfair!”

However, she still did as told and went to the three’s classroom. She was a bit relieved that the teacher just came out of the room so no student has left the room yet.

She saw Soeun left the room first with two classmates Jaehee didn’t know. She immediately call her

“What’s the matter Jaehee?” Soeun asked upon seeing Jaehee in front of her

“Unnie… let’s eat together” she said and Soeun obviously confused and surprised with the invitation. Just then she saw Jimin with her boyfriend and other friends going out of the other door and was heading to the other direction “Jimin unnie!” she called and Jimin immediately stops

Jaehee ran to Jimin and said the same thing “I’m sorry Jaehee. I am going to eat with them” Jimin said, pertaining to her friends that are waiting “Just go with Soeun. Look she’s already going”

Jaehee panicked upon hearing that and go back to Soeun “Soeun unnie wait! Please, you need to go with me”

“Yeah, how about go with Jimin instead”

“No. I need all of you there”

“Well hurry because Jimin’s going now” Soeun said

“Ah?! Jimin unnie!” Jaehee then grabbed Soeun’s hand, apologizing to her friends for stealing her then running to Jimin again.

Soeun rolled her eyes but let the younger dragged her, they're not friends anymore but they obviously still have a soft spot for their youngr friends. She also thought that she’s being held and dragged by people lately. This scene was awfully the same with yesterday, only difference was Jimin was being dragged with her and not the one dragging her.

Jaehee grabbed Jimin’s hand as well with her free hand and also apologized to her boyfriend “I’m sorry, I’ll be borrowing her for now”

Just then Jiyoon got out of the room and witnessed whatever the hell they were doing. Jiyoon looked at them, judging them and decided they were too embarrasing.

“Jiyoon unnie!” Jaehee called finally remembering that she need the three of them

“Whatever it is, not interested” Jiyoon said without looking back

“Let’s go!” Jaehee said and pulled Jimin and Soeun to block Jiyoon’s way “Unnie wait. You need to come with us”

“I refuse to be seen in whatever stupid thing these two are involved in”

“Not stupid enough without you though” Soeun  said

“Just go with us so it’ll be over” Jimin said and grabbed Jiyoon who could only let out a sigh “Fine, I’m going” Jiyoon looked at Jimin as she was being held and dragged by Jaehee

“You are much stonger than Jaehee and can obviously get away from her grip easily. Why are you acting like you’re weak” Jiyoon commented

“She’s strong now” Jimin argued

“I only see your favoritism. If I will be dragging you, you will be chopping off my hand the moment I touch you” Jiyoon added

“there is no favoritism!” 

Thankfully Jaehee doesn't need to drag them all the way to the cafeteria. They agreed to walk normally by themselves because they're starting to hog the hallways and is already getting attention from the other students.

They reached the cafeteria and Jimin rush to the their usual table, months ago, upon seeing someone was about to go and sit there. She beat the student carrying his food to the table and just stared at him, the student obviously got scared of Jimin and rushed to go find another table.

"You didn't have to scare him" Jiyoon said before plopping down on one of the chairs

They all sat down and look the Jaehee who dragged them there "So what now? What is it you want to tell us?" Soeun asked

"Let's wait for Hyewon and Soojin unnie first"

"Why do you need us all here?" Jiyoon asked

"Jaehee, not because we spend some time together yesterday that doesn't mean we can go back to how we used to like nothing happened" Jimin said, trying not to make the younger guilty or sad or dissapointed but she just can't word it better

"I know that" Jaehee said, sadly" Hyewon and I just need to tell you something"

"Doesn't Soojin unnie have class with Mr. Cho this time?" Jimin wondered "They'll probably take a while" she said, Mr. Cho was a teacher nobody wants to have in the period before lunch or last period. He just doesn't care for the bell and will still continue discussing until he wants.

"That old man. Holding students from their lunch for his boring class"

"Well, I'm hungry so I'm gonna grab my food first" Jiyoon said, standing up

"Unnie, you need to go back here okay?" Jaehee said to the older

"As if I have other table to go to" Jiyoon said before going, almost a whisper but Soeun and Jimin still heard and shared knowing look before snubbing each other again

"Well, I guess I'll get my food as well" Soeun stood and followed Jiyoon to get her own food

Jimin and Jaehee was left and Jimin felt that the younger is feeling awkward "Hey, you okay?"

"Yes, thank you"

"You can grab your food, I'll stay here"

"It's okay unnie, I'll wait with you"

They stayed quiet after and just focus on their own phones as they wait for the others. Soon enough Jiyoon came back with her tray and so Jimin and Jaehee went for their turn to get their meals. Jiyoon started eating as she was really hungry. Soeun came back as well and started to dig in her own meal.

Jiyoon took a bite of her pie and she noticed it was an apple pie, although she was sure she take one from the upper rack of the displayed desserts. "Hey, you've checked that?" she asked Soeun, pointing to the dessert sitting on the other's tray

"Why?"

"It's mystery pie day" Jiyoon said and instantly, Soeun frown and rip the mini pie in half to check the filling. To her disappointment, it was an apple pie. Soeun is allergic to apple.

"Apple. Ugh, you?"

"Apple as well" Jiyoon said

"I hate mystery pie day" Soeun said as she put the dessert on the side. It was her hated day, on normal days when they have pie for dessert she just needs to make sure to not get her pie from the bottom rack. The bottom rack always contains the apple pies and other flavors was at the other rack. But then mystery pie day was invented in their school's cafeteria and pie flavors are now put randomly on the dessert rack during that day.

The first day Soeun randomly got an apple pie, she have already eaten half of it before realizing that the sweet taste she haven't tasted for a while was actually apple pie. She was even rushed to the emergency and everyone panicked but doesn't stop their cafeteria from continuing mystery pie day.

And it was no use asking the staff to give her other flavor because they also didn't know which is which. So either Soeun doesn't get a dessert or would just exchange it to her friends who got a different one.

Soojin would always voluntary exchange with her if she has a different flavored pie, even on days she would got a flavor she likes, Soojin would still exchange with Soeun's apple pie. Soeun smiled bitterly at the memory.

After all, it was now all just a memory.
