FOURTEEN
C.E.O.Jessica woke up with her head pounding, “.” Instantly she regretted all the drinks she had, but at the same time, she was happy that she didn’t need to talk about work for once. Slowly opening her eyes, Jessica saw a glass of water on the coffee table and got up to drink it.
For a second she forgot where she was, but then remembered something about Taeyeon taking her back to her place. Curious, Jessica started walking around the place taking note of the clean and modern design Taeyeon chose. Taking a peek in a few rooms, Jessica didn’t see any sign of Taeyeon so she continued her snooping around.
Jessica didn’t know what she was looking for exactly, but Jessica noticed that there was no personal touch in this place. No pictures, no knickknacks…nothing. It was like anyone could have moved in here and no one would be the wiser that Taeyeon had once been here. Jessica didn’t know why, but it made her feel sad that Taeyeon lived a life without making her personal space…well personal. Almost like Taeyeon was living a robotic life.
Bored, Jessica returned to the couch to look for her phone, which probably fell through the seat cushions. As she sat down, a manila folder sat neatly on the table grabbing her attention. Jessica recognized it as the same folder Taeyeon brought to the restaurant last night.
Not able to wait for Taeyeon, Jessica carefully opened the folder and read the contents inside. What she read astonished her and made her angry. Every word she read made Jessica shake her head, “This can’t be right. Why would Taeyeon do this?”
Unfortunately for Taeyeon, she came back with breakfast at the wrong time, because there was a visibly irritated Jessica Jung waiting for her at home and that is when she saw Jessica holding the folder in her hands.
“Tell me what the hell is this Taeyeon.” Jessica said as she slammed the folder on the table.
