Prologue:

“I have something to show to you later. Go to our classroom after this.” A boy wearing his freshly ironed uniform pulled his best friend at the corner of the auditorium excitedly. He was smiling from ear to ear, facing his best friend who’s face is expressionless. And for your information, this boy is known as the most beautiful gay in the campus. He’s really gay, very gay, I told you. He is even more lady-like than his girl best friend.

“What do you want? The ceremony will be starting already!” The petite girl shoved off her best friend’s hand with a hint of annoyance. She has this straight face for she is nervous of anything that may happen during the whole ceremony.

“Hey, why are you like this? You are so serious. I’ve never seen you like this before. What happened? Is there a problem?” The boy worriedly asked. Their conversation was interrupted by their head teacher saying, “Come on you two! The ceremony is about to start!” The two obediently followed, not saying any other words.

Then the graduation ceremony went on smoothly and both of them receive their respective diplomas and awards. If there is any? Kidding aside, when the ceremony ended and it’s time for them to go home, the girl was searching for her best friend around the campus but unfortunately, no signs of him was seen. A few moments later, somebody patted her back and she became excited, guessing that it was her best friend. But to her dismay, it was just her parents telling her that they must go home now.

“Please mom. Give me one more minute. I must say farewell to my dearest best friend. And he told me that he needs to show me something so I must wait for him until he arrives.” The girl pleadingly asked, almost kneeling in front of her mother.

Her mother shook her head and gave an apologetic look on her child saying, “I’m sorry my child. But the plane can’t wait for us.” The girl couldn’t do anything but to say yes and follow her mother outside the campus as tears started flowing down her cheeks.

Meanwhile, the lady-like boy started preparing in their classroom his graduation surprise for his best friend. He planned this surprise for his best friend few months ago. As time passed, he became worried for his best friend hasn’t showed up yet. He started going around the campus and desperately searched for his best friend.

“Hi, I’m Jessica and you can call me Sica. What’s your name and what are you still doing here? It’s already late. Everybody has gone home now. You should too.” A little voice coming from a girl spoke behind him.

“Why do you care? Leave me alone. I still want to stay here and wait for my best friend!” The little boy couldn’t stop his tears from flowing anymore. He fell down on his knees and started sobbing. Sica, from behind, hugged the sobbing boy.

“What’s the problem?” Sica asked the boy. Then the boy, bursting out his emotions couldn’t stop from crying on Sica’s arms.

“I can’t.. see her.. my.. best.. friend.” He replied with a trembling voice. He couldn’t even speak properly. While Sica was patting his back for comfort, she whispered on his ears, “Whatever the problem is, just forget about it. I’m always here for you and I’ll never leave you alone. I promise and I don’t break promises.”

Those comforting words rendered the boy speechless. He couldn’t believe it. She didn’t even know him and yet she could say those promises to him. And from that day on, Sica and the boy became best of friends but as days passed, the boy couldn’t help thinking about happened to his lost best friend.
