---------------
The time when Yongsun and Wheein got the news of Mr. Kim's death, Yong's tears were b almost all night. Her eyes were swollen. She looked pitiful, even her posture changed. She was hunching, while sitting on a chair, she didn't have enough strength to look at anybody. It's too soon for them to say goodbye. He left too sudden. Everyone in the room was trying to process what happened.
Wheein wanted to erase a bit of their pain but she didn't know how. She was trying hard herself to stay calm, but everything started to accumulate and she had to tell somebody anyway she would explode. After all she was only a human
She left Yong and her family alone and called her mom. Her tears were falling when she heard her mom's soothing voice. She told everything to the eldest and Mrs. Jung immediately booked the earliest flight to meet them.
The mourning time was so hard for the couple. Wheein never saw Yong crying every day like that before. Her eyes were so red, Wheein was concerned since she just got her sight back. Crying too much could cause a problem for her eyes. Yongsun has changed a lot since that night. She was very rough and insensitive towards her girlfriend or ignored her presence at all. Grief had a huge impact on her. It was very difficult to communicate with her because she would answer in half-words and then disappear somewhere for a few hours, and when she came back, she would not explain where she was, despite the worry of those close to her.
Funeral reception was held at the family home of Mr. and Mrs. Kim. Slowly people started gathering in the house. Everybody dressed in black. Atmosphere doesn't help Yongsun. She closed herself off even more.
Wheein saw Yongsun sitting alone with her untouched food, she knelt down in front of her and pulled her into her arms. She pulled Yong tighter into her arms and let Yong sobbed heavily onto her shoulder.
A few minutes later, the crying sound stopped and was replaced with a little snore. Wheein didn't want to wake her, her baby should rest for a while after what she's going through, so the younger girl slowly lifted her up and carried to the bedroom. She let Yong's rest on those white sheets and soft bed. She never forgot to leave a kiss on her forehead, it was something of a protective spell to help her rest better. Wheein took one more look to assure that her Treasure is safe and left her alone to help Yong's family to welcome more guests.
" Wheein." Her mom hugged her tightly, "How is Yong?"
Wheein smiled weakly, "She finally sleeps, mom. I'm worried about her. Earlier she doesn't sleep at all, she just keeps staring out the window into the emptiness during night "
Mrs. Jung nodded, "Give her time. Try to understand her, you went through something similar with your father. Everything's gonna be alright soon "
Wheein nodded.
Hyejin came and also gave her best friend a buck up. "I heard from Hyomin unnie about your failed proposal"
They were sitting in the corner of the room. There were not many people, so they took a breath.
Wheein took a glass of soju and drank all of it. "Sometimes. I feel like fate doesn't want us to be together."
Hyejin frowned, "Don't give up so easily, Whee. Where is your fighting spirit? You have to be strong for Yongsun, for both of you. I know it’s hard, but you can do it"
Wheein smiled sadly, "It's my second failed proposal. What am I expecting?" She took another shot. "She broke up with me before I could propose to her and now, before I could propose to her, her dad died" Wheein sighed, "Life is so unfair"
"Did you use the same ring?" asked Hyejin, trying to erase those heavy sighs.
Wheein nodded, "Should I just buy her a new one?"
"Maybe something is wrong with the ring. You should just sell it."
Wheein sighed, "I worked so hard to buy that ring, you know that. How could you so easily ask me to sell it." another heavy sighed. "Besides that. I don't think I will propose to her anytime soon. I feel the timing will always be wrong. I don’t know what to do"
Hyejin was going to say something before a greeting took their attention.
"May I join?"
Wheein looked at Yong's Ex-Wife, "Sure."
Hyejin looked at Wheein like What the .
"Thank you for coming." Wheein poured the soju in the glass and gave it to Moonbyul.
"How is Yongsun?"
"She is not fine. She cried a lot." Wheein answered the question without looking at Hyejin, who didn't like the idea of speaking with Moonbyul.
"I will help Yonghee unnie" Hyejin chose to leave them.
"Can I see her?" asked Moonbyul
"But she is sleeping. If you have something to talk about."
Moonbyul cut her words, " I can wait until she wakes up."
Wheein looked at those sincere eyes, her weak heart wouldn't say no to that request. "Okay"
So, she walked her to the bedroom. Yong has already woken up. What a coincidence.
"Byul" Yong called her ex first.
Wheein felt as if a pin had been driven through her heart but it's not a time for jealousy.
Byul walked to her and held Yong's hand. Wheein saw everything. She also saw the wedding ring that still wore around Byul finger.
It's a painful sight but she trusts Yongsun. She knew that Yongsun was faithful to her no matter what.
"You look terrible." Byul said and made Yong's smile.
"Thanks, what are you doing here?"
Wheein decided to step back, she was left out of this conversation.
"Are you leaving them alone?" asked Hyejin, who had been waiting for her.
Yonghee is also there, " Wheein..." she felt so sorry.
Wheein smiled and tapped both of them, "Please trust Yong like I trust her."
They looked so worried but they couldn't say more since Wheein had decided.
Moonbyul looked at Yongsun, "How are you, Yong? I didn't let you go to see this side of you again. You promised me to be happy"
"My father just passed away, Byul."
"I know. I understand, but I wasn’t talking about that. It’s not okay that you treat Wheein like that. You love her, don't you?"
Yongsun bit her lips and bowed down, "I keep having a thought... Like... My father passed away because of Wheein and me... We visited him this afternoon, Byul. And looked at what happened... He is gone."
"So, you're telling me that you are not sure about your relationship with Wheein?"
Yongsun was silent.
"I agreed to break up and divorce so you could be happy, I didn't care if it was with me or someone else"
Yongsun cried, "I'm sorry."
