“Are you sure you want to be alone?” asked Jennie.  “I can just stay here with you tonight unnie”

But Jisoo shook her head.

“I’m fine by myself” said Jisoo. “Don’t worry about me..”

She really wanted to be alone for the first time.

She was terrified of that encounter but her worry about Taehyung topped her fear.

She knew how devastating it was for him when someone he didn’t even know blew up the whole truth right into his face.

How lonely it must have been for him.. 

It must have been too much for him too handle.

RM had called Jisoo asking her to inform him if Taehyung showed up or even called her.

He couldn’t find him anywhere. He wasn’t at his house and RM was very worried about him.

He kept on checking the news online if someone posted a picture of him but fortunately there wasn’t any.

He knew Taehyung was upset at him for keeping the truth from him.

RM just didn’t want him to get into trouble. 

Jisoo had just changed clothes and was preparing herself to sleep when she heard someone ringing her doorbell while slamming the door.

She knew who it was right away. 

She happened to guess he’d come to her house.

She was expecting him because she had also wanted to see him.

She smelled the alcohol coming from him right away.

The blood on his hands dried up and the bruises were evident.

“Where did you go without your manager?” Jisoo asked raising her voice at him. “What were you thinking? What if something happened to you?”

Jisoo pulled him towards the living room.

“Wait for me here, I’ll get something to treat your hands” said Jisoo as she turned her back from him but Taehyung grabbed her hand to stop her and quickly let go of it

He was afraid of touching her. He didn’t want to startle her anymore.

“Why... why didn’t you tell me anything?” Taehyung muttered. 

Jisoo slowly turned around.

“Let’s talk some other time when you’re sober” said Jisoo. “I think you drank a lot..”

“I drank purposely.. because I wanted to talk to you” said Taehyung. “Otherwise I wouldn’t be able to even look at you”

“I’ll call your manager” said Jisoo. “He must be worried about you”

Taehyung sighed.

“No one is worried about me” he choked back a sob. “I can’t understand why no one..not even hyung.. told me about it.. What was so hard about telling me the truth?”

Jisoo was about to tear up.

“You said you didn’t want losing.. you told me you didn’t like to lose anyone to me anymore..” said Jisoo holding back her tears. “You clearly said that.. and I didn’t want to make you feel like you lost your friend again.. Because I understand how you feel.. how sad and miserable you must have been”

“No.. you don’t understand me at all..” said Taehyung. “I lost Jimin already seven years ago when I failed to save him.. and now I feel sad and miserable just like what you said because I’m about to lose another person..”

Jisoo turned her head from him trying to hide the tears streaming down on her face.

“Did you have fun?” Taehyung’s voice was choked with emotion. “Was it amusing for all of you to see me making a fool out of myself? Holding myself back and trying hard not to...”

Jisoo looked at his eyes.

“Do you like me?” she asked him without hesitation. “Your heart.. do you even understand it? You talk about hating and loving someone so recklessly but the truth is you don’t know your emotions..”

Taehyung’s eyes teared up.

“You’re right.. I don’t even know my own heart” he said wiping his own tears. 

Jisoo walked away from there to her room.

She washed her face to get a grip of herself.

As she looked at her own reflection in the mirror,she couldn’t help but break into tears again.

Of all the emotions she had been through the entire day, between hate, disgust, anger and fear, seeing him cry and breakdown made her heart break the most.

She gathered up herself before going out to the living room and face him again but she saw Taehyung sleeping on the couch already.

She filled a basin with warm water and cleaned his face and his hands with a towel.

“Your pretty hands are all bruised because of me again” she said while she was cleaning his hands gently. “I hope you can stop torturing yourself because of the past.. Stop making me feel sorry.. nobody wanted him to die.. release the hate and regret you have in your heart.. that’s the only way you can be happy.. My love will never be enough for you if you keep holding onto the past..”

She was looking at him sleeping peacefully. 

She had never seen him wear that calm expression on his face, not even once, ever since they met.

It must have been because all she brought him was pain.

She wanted to caress his face and his hair so bad but she couldn’t bring herself to do it. She didn’t want to bring any other confusion to herself anymore.

After about half an hour later, RM arrived to pick Taehyung up from her house.

“Thanks for calling me” said RM. “I tried everything I could to put down all the videos and pictures of what happened today so don’t worry about it anymore..”

She had almost forgotten about it, for the first time in her life, she didn’t worry about herself.. for the very first time, she was more worried of someone else.

Their drama was nearing its end. The days of the filming were numbered.

The viewers were all eagered to see the last episode already.

Everyone was excited to see it end just like what Taehyung and Jisoo had been been looking forward to..
