“So? TELL ME!” Yura squealed, nudging her best friend by the arm
Minah looked at her, “Now?”
“Uh… duh!”
They were all in the car now. Sungyeol was in the driver’s seat while Minah & Yura were at the back.
“Okay, okay!” Minah giggled
Sungyeol pouted, “Yah. I wanna tell her too!”
“Not now, Yeollie!” Minah wore a smug face
The boy rolled his eyes but continued pouting.
“Okay so…” Minah began
Flashback:
(Hyeri – 7th grade | Minah – 8th grade | Sungyeol – 9th grade | Yongguk – 10th grade)
It was a cool Friday night and the Bang & Lee family had gone out to a party. As soon as they arrived, Hyeri and Minah became partners and so did Sungyeol & Yongguk.
“Waaah, unni, look!” Hyeri exclaimed, pointing over to the wide pool
Minah looked and gasped, “Cool,”
“I wanna go in right now!”
Minah giggled, “Too cold~”
“I don’t care!” Hyeri squeaked, turning back and going to the pool but Minah pulled her back
“Let’s eat first, kay?” she patted the younger’s head while she pout
Soon, after eating, Hyeri, Minah, Sungyeol & Yongguk met up by the pool.
“Hey, guys, wanna play dominos?” Hyeri cheerfully asked
Sungyeol beamed, “OOOH, Dominos! I’m in!” he grinned. He turned to Yongguk, “Hyung?”
Yongguk nodded, “Sure. But… I don’t know how to play,” he mumbled, smiling sheepishly while he rubs the back of his neck
The girls giggled, “Us too,”
“Losers.” Sungyeol teased, “I know how. Let’s play!”
They settled down and started playing.
“Okay!” Hyeri abruptly said, “Whoever wins will get a kiss from vise versa,” Sungyeol & Yongguk looked at her with a confused face while Minah shot her a ‘dude, you’re dead’ look.
“Umm…?” Yongguk mumbled
“If Sungyeol oppa wins, he’ll have to kiss Minah unni, and vice versa. And when I win, Yongguk oppa will have to kiss me and vice versa,” she smiled
Minah paused and kept quiet. Yongguk already agreed. And to the three’s surprise, Sungyeol didn’t even hesitate to agree! But now that they’re almost teens, Minah decided not to think that Sungyeol likes her. She just believed that Sungyeol had no brain.
They started to play. It was still a trial since most of them don’t know how to play. Everytime the girls & Yongguk would do a wrong turn, Sungyeol was always there to help.
When it was Minah’s turn, she had put the right domino but it wasn’t properly placed. She reached in to properly place it back, and did Sungyeol. Then their hands touched.
Yura giggled, “You two are so cute,”
“You just noticed?”
“Not now, Yeollie!”
Hyeri squealed suddenly, “So close!” she said
The Bang siblings’ attention went to her. Minah gave her a death glare while Yongguk turned away as soon as he looked. Sungyeol didn’t even look at her and just ignored Hyeri.
The game finished and Hyeri won, despite being still a beginner. See? Younger but smarter.
They continued to play, this time official, including the bet. And in the end, Minah won.
And the next thing that happened? Nothing. They must’ve forgotten the bet, but surely Minah & Hyeri didn’t. They didn’t remind anyone because other one would possibly die tonight while the other one would seem like she wants it. And Minah surely doesn’t want the boys to know she likes Sungyeol, not now. They’re awkward teens.
“Bad Yeollie. How can you forget?” Yura scolded while Minah giggled
“Wait for it, Kim Yura,” he protested
After spending the next hours playing dominos, they all went home.
“We’re here!” Sungyeol said as he pulled off in front of the Bang family’s house.
“Not now, Yeollie!” Yura exclaim.
Sungyeol pouted, “Yah-“
Minah laughed, “Yura unni, let’s settle down first then I can continue,”
Yura’s shoulders deflated as she pout, “Fine,”
They went in the house and to the guest room. Yura will be staying for the next 2 months until she goes back to Japan. Minah & Yura went their way up the room while Sungyeol got assigned to bring all the bags.
“Okay, what will you guys do?” he asked
“Talk,” Yura slyly smiled
“WHAT?! Yah, no fair!”
“Just do it,” Minah giggled
“Andw-“ He was gonna protest when Minah kissed his cheek, “I’ll go get the bags,” he ran out the door
The girls giggled and smiled to each other. Yura started looking around the room.
“Where’s Yongguk?” she asked
“Out with his girlfriend,” Minah simply said, settling Yura’s suitcase down
“New girlfriend?”
“Yeah.”
“Name?”
“Him Chankim,”
“Parents?”
“Work,”
Yura nodded, “Ah,” she sat down on the bed, “So! Continue!” she excitedly exclaimed
Minah laughed and sat beside her, “Okay,”
After the day of the party, Sungyeol and his friends were to perform in a dance competition and of course, Hyeri will be there, resulting to her inviting Minah. And of course, Minah agreed immediately. Dancing plus no parents plus food plus mini party plus Sungyeol in a hotel equals to Minah totally in!
Minah and Hyeri were going around in the hotel, probably talking about lots of random stuff. Suddenly, Minah bumped arms with someone. Minah apologized immediately without looking up but then he spoke.
“Minah?”
Minah blinked and finally looked up, a sudden grin forming on her face, “Hoya oppa!”
“Lee Hoya oppa? The one who would always help you with your things and walk you to your locker? The one who liked you?” Yura nudged her teasingly
“Yep. He still liked me that day,” Minah mumbled. Yura gaped and laughed.
Meanwhile, Sungyeol was in the room dropping a box off when they talked about Hoya. “Tch, that pansy,” he said
“That pansy who’s totally not one and who’s very hot,” Minah teasingly remarked while looking at Sungyeol with a playful face
“Y-YAH! WHAT?!” he exclaimed with jealousy
The girls laughed.
“Hey!” he grinned back, “Long time no see,”
“Are you serious?” Minah giggled, “Don’t we see each other at school?” she smirked
Hoya flushed in embarrassment, rubbing the back of his neck, “O-Oh… r-right… yeah,”
“Aww, he totally likes you!” Yura squealed
“Well, too bad. Thanks to his pansy-ness, she’s mine now,” Sungyeol sat beside Minah and put an arm around her
Minah shook her head, “Thanks to his kindness, I’m yours now,” she corrected, playfully sticking her tongue out at her boyfriend
“Where’s Sungyeol?” she asked suddenly, knowing Hoya’s in Sungyeol’s group
Hoya frowned, “O-Oh… he’s getting ready,”
Minah smiled and nodded in understanding.
“Poor oppa,” Yura said. Minah smiled and nodded.
“You looked for me that day?” Sungyeol grinned
Minah didn’t answer and just smirked, “Yah, don’t you have some work to do?”
“I don’t care about it! They’re Yura’s things, she should get it!” he immaturely protested while Yura scowled at him
“But isn’t the car unlocked?” Minah continued to ask
“Yes, but the gates are,” he calmly said
“Sungyeol, we have no gates,”
“WHAT?!” he stood up and ran downstairs
Minah giggled.
“But isn’t there a gate?” Yura asked, remembering there was a gate.
Minah nodded, “Yep,” she slyly winked, making Yura laugh
“Well, I gotta go. I’ll see you from the stage,” Hoya winked
Minah smiled, “Ne. See you! Good luck!”
Soon, the girls were settled in the crowd, in the first row. They waited until it was Sungyeol’s group’s, AKA INFINITE’s turn. Finally, it was.
The boys went up the stage wearing dark but cool clothes. Minah pointed, “It’s their turn!” she squealed
Hyeri looked and grinned, “Wah! Oppadeul!” she squealed too but then her grin faded when Sungyeol’s sunglasses well off from his back-pocket. Hyeri picked the sunglasses and tugged on Sungyeol’s pants. “Oppa!”
Sungyeol looked back and down at Hyeri and Minah. “What?”
Hyeri gave him the glasses, “You dropped this,” he took it and smiled, thanking her. “You’re welcome, oppa,”
“Good luck,” Minah smiled
Sungyeol paused and stared at her. He blushed but smiled back. He nodded and stood up, going into formation. He got excited and leveled up as soon as she said those words.
“Look, it’s Minah & Hyeri!” Sunggyu pointed, making INFINITE look and grin
Minah felt them looking and smiled awkwardly, “U-Uh. Oppadeul, hwaiting!” she said. Hyeri giggled and joined her.
The boys practically fainted at the sight of two girls cheering them on. And those weren’t just any ordinary girls. They’re the girls who they admired through 7 years they’ve been together.
“Lucky female dog!” Yura burst
Minah laughed at her words, “Seriously?! Can’t you say the word?” she fell back on the bed
Yura pouted and joined her, “Obviously not,”
“Aigoo. Innocent Ahyoungie~”
“YAH! Why do you guys always bully me?” Sungyeol appeared all of a sudden.
Minah giggled and sat back up, “Because you bully your sister,”
“That doesn’t have to do with anything,” he sat back down beside Minah, hugging her waist again
Yura rolled her eyes, “Continue~”
Then, after getting into position, the music started and they danced. And all to Minah & Hyeri, the boys had danced like dance gods.
“In the end, INFINITE won,”
“Congratulations, INFINITE. You won! Maybe all thanks to the scorpion dance?” the male host winked
The boys laughed, “Maybe,”
All of them went down and met up with the girls.
“Oppadeul!” they exclaimed with big grins
‘All thanks to you, girls,’ the INFINITE members all thought in unison
“Chukahamnida!~” they squealed
The boys grinned, “Kamsahamnida!~” the cooed back
Sungyeol and Minah met eyes but turned away after.
“So, what are you guys gonna do with the prize money?” Hyeri asked
The boys exchanged glances, “Uhm…”
“We don’t know, really. We didn’t think this through,” Sunggyu said, scratching his head
“Why don’t we go out and eat! Now we know what we’re gonna do to it,” Woohyun said, smirking self-centeredly
Minah rolled her eyes playfully at his smirk.
“I’m in!” Hyeri put her hand out
“Same here!” Sungjong exclaimed, blushing after the feeling of his and Hyeri’s hands together
“Me too!”
“Me three!”
“Me four!”
“Nado!”
Without words, Minah put her hand at the top of Sungyeol’s. They looked at each other once again then looked away.
Woohyun, being the only one who hasn’t put his hand, did it as well.
“INFINITE!” they cheered, they released the hand tower and raised their hands in the sky
Everyone grinned and laughed at whatever as they started walking to the exit.
“Um, guys, can you excuse us, first?” Sungyeol abruptly announced, taking Minah’s hand
Minah’s eyes grew wide as she blushed at the sudden action. She eyed Hyeri who was grinning and nodded hysterically, “SURE!” she burst, meanwhile the boys just stared at them
Sungyeol nodded and walked away to the balcony. He gently put Minah’s hand down and looked into her eyes.
There was silence before Minah spoke, “So…”
But before she could say anything,
“He kissed me,” Minah blushed
Yura gasped and squealed, “ASDFGHJKL!” she exclaimed as she wiggle about
Sungyeol chuckled and watched Yura jumping up and down
Minah laughed, “What the freak is asdfghjkl?”
“I don’t know! Isn’t that what you type in our convos when you spazz?”
The younger laughed more, “Oh, you. I missed you so much,” she softly smiled. Minah then took Sungyeol’s hand and walked towards the door.
“Wait, where are you guys going?” Yura paused
“You should be resting. Don’t you get jetlagged?” Minah giggled
“No. Thanks to you it turned into lovelagged,” Yura teased
Minah rolled her eyes playfully, “Go rest,”
“Sleepover!” Yura pleaded
Minah gasped, “OH MY GAH, YES!” she excitedly jumped up and down
Yura giggled, but paused when she saw the two turning away, “Wait, What are you guys gonna do?”
“Nothing bad!” Minah immediately answered, thinking as if Yura was thinking something naughty
Sungyeol gave her a look and laughed.
“I… wasn’t even thinking about it! Innocent Yura?” the girl giggled
Minah nodded as she flush in embarrassment, “R-Right. Well, I’m gonna drop him off,” she smiled
Yura nodded, “Arasseo. I’ll go get ready, come back immediately~”
The two nodded, went down and outside.
“See you tomorrow?” Minah smiled
Sungyeol grinned back and nodded, “Surely,” he then leaned in
Minah paused and stared at him, “What?”
“No kiss?” he pouted
Minah giggled and took his head, turning it and kissing his cheek instead, “Bbobbo~” she teased
Sungyeol pouted again, “Fine. See you tomorrow,” he parted hands with his girlfriend and went in his car, starting the engine. He drove back and before he could drive off, he opened the window and yelled, “Dream of me, girlfriend!” he playfully winked
Minah grinned, “Back to you, boyfriend!” she waved and he drove off.
