| At The Dinner Table |
A Familiar Stranger"Eo, Kwang Soo y-" Ha Ha suddenly stops in his tracks causing So Min and Se Chan to run into him. He felt his words crawling back into his mouth. This is odd. A dining table which sat both Ji Hyo and Kwang Soo's parents greeted the Running Man members upon their arrival. Kwang Soo had suddenly invited the members to an impromptu dinner at his apartment. He said he wanted to talk to them about something important. Intially, they speculated that he might be leaving the show, but that doesn't sound like something he would do so they immediately agreed in chorus that this hunch was highly unlikely. At the sight of their parents, Jong Kook and Jae Seok eyed each other as they entered the place, they knew what was coming next.
As the couple emerge from the kitchen, everyone exchanged confused glances. Both Kwang Soo and Ji Hyo looked very tense, it was evident in the way Kwang Soo shuffled his weight from one leg to the other and in the way Ji Hyo picked at her nails. Although they did try their hardest to appear normal, everyone in the room could tell how unusually rigid the atmosphere was. The bluntest knife could easily cut the tension thick in the air. It was strange because apart from the pair and two other members, the rest of them were stumped.
As Kwang Soo gestures for everyone to take their place at the dining table, everyone just stiffly sat there. No words spoken, just unbearable silence, awkward shifting in their seats and Yang Se Chan's constant throat clearing. This boy really is the most awkward among the bunch.
"We're getting married." She says abruptly.
Utter silence.
It looked like someone hit the pause button somewhere in the room. Everyone stayed so still that it almost looked like they were playing a ridiculous game of statues. Shock evident from their slacked jaws. Whether it was a good kind or a bad kind of shock, they don't know yet. At the sound of Ha Dong Hoon's mandu dropping to his plate from his chopsticks, silence was broken.
"Eomma, appa. We're getting married." Kwang Soo finally says.
Jae Seok and Jong Kook may have seen this coming, but the others were caught off guard. Though suprisingly, their parents didn't seem too fazed by the news. On the other hand, Ha Ha felt disappointed. He felt like his younger members had kept so much from him, but who was he to get mad? Only now that he understands why his Jong Kook hyung held such a grudge against him when he got married hastily back in the day. What's up with the members getting married out of nowhere? He thinks, scoffing internally.
Clearing his throat, Se Chan scratches his face awkwardly. "Uhh... Congrats, hyung, noona." He mutters, suddenly taki
