| His Dreams |
A Familiar StrangerJi Hyo grips the steering wheel a little too hard for someone who’s just going to a furniture shop on a regular Tuesday morning. Her palms got all sweaty and her knuckles turned white. She felt ridiculous.
It’s fine. It’s just visiting the store. Ani. I’m not even visiting, I’m picking out furnitures. Stop. It’s all good. Don't sweat it, take it easy. Kwang Soo was someone of the past. He wasn’t good to you so you should return the favour. Be nonchalant and act as if he’s just a regular furniture seller... Which he is. It’s all good.
Three deep breaths later, Ji Hyo calmed her nerves and caught herself confused. Why is she even nervous? Nothing is happening and nothing will, so why is she feeling... off?
Bracing herself, she gets off the car. She was dressed in her casual, everyday self; faded blue jeans, a plain white shirt and her favourite Vans on her feet, hair down and no makeup. Classic Song Ji Hyo.
As she reaches the shop, she spots the elderly man she met the other day. “Good morning, Ahjussi.” She greets softly, keeny aware that the tall man she wanted to avoid may pop up any moment now.
“Hello there. I see you’re back; for the couches or for the dining chairs? I got new ones delivered a few hours ago if you want to have a look around and let me know if you see anything you’re interested in. I’ll just be in the office if you have questions.”
