A Familiar StrangerKwang Soo shuffles in the driver's seat as he looks around for Ji Hyo. He had borrowed her manager's van to surprise her after her new drama's first script reading. For the past few weeks, both of them had very little time to see each other due to their conflicting schedules. It's been a while since he has seen her other than through the screen of his phone. The actor was getting quite anxious. Although the van is fitted with tinted windows and the sun has set long ago, he was careful to not be seen by anyone. As staff members, actors and actresses exit the building, he cranes his neck to look for her. He spots her three seconds later. Honestly, he could easily find her in any sea of crowds, he was just always drawn to her.
As he patiently waits, he grabs the flowers from the backseat, preparing to greet her.
Kwang Soo watches as Ji Hyo approaches the car, her hand reaching for the door when all of a sudden, he sees Dong Wook jogging up to her. He could see how startled Ji Hyo was, the awkward air permeating the atmosphere is almost visible. And although the sounds were a little muffled, he could make out what he was saying from the other side of the door.
"Ji Hyo ya." He says, shuffling his weight from one leg to the other. "Are you doing anything tonight?"
Kwang Soo could readily see discomfort in her face. She didn't want to talk. "Uhh... I am."
"Ah, geurae. Do you want to maybe get dinner with me? I don't know, maybe tomorrow?" He persuades. Dong Wook's hand is now on his way to reach for her arm. The giraffe was a second away from opening the door, he couldn't stay still knowing someone was making Ji Hyo uncomfortable, but before he could, Ji Hyo takes a step back. Her arm dodging the touch.
"I... I can't. I just... I don't think I would feel very comfortable with that. Mianhae, Dong Wook ah."
At her response, a flash of hurt crosses Dong Wook's eyes, it was visible even through the tinted windows of the van. "Ji Hyo yah. What happened that time..." Ji Hyo inhales deeply, she already knows where this is going and she didn't like it one bit. "I-I don't regret it. I know I didn't make myself clear but... I-I like you..." Kwang Soo could see the look in Dong Wook's eyes. It was almost the same way he looks at Ji Hyo, but not quite. He was going to kiss her. Without thinking twice, the giraffe swings the door open, hitting the other man in the process.
"Aghhh-" Dong Wook winces, he doesn't know if it was because he was caught trying to make a move on Ji Hyo or if it's because his leg was hurting, or both.
Kwang Soo turns to look at Ji Hyo, she looked a little startled and honestly, also relieved. Dong Wook was getting too close for comfort. Nonchalantly, he hops off of the van as he stands straighter, towering over the other man. "Annyeong, Dong Wook hyung. Olaenmaniya."
"Kwang Soo?" He says, confused as he rubs the side of his leg. The impact from the door wasn't much but it hurt regardless. "What are you doing here?"
"Uhh... I'm here to pick up noona."
The other Lee was confused. It wasn't Monday, so there was no Running Man filming. Why was the boy picking her up this late at night? He was also slightly irritated that the first time he tried to confess to Ji Hyo, he was interrupted. Eyeing the giraffe, h
