Friendly Intervention
Fifteen years and countingIan and Kaye continued to see each other and talk on the phone trying to skirt around the conversation they had at the park. More than a week has passed before Sue finally had a chance to meet up with Ian and Kaye
Sue: Hey, sorry I was not able to meet you the other weekend? How have you guys been?
Kaye: We’re fine
Ian: How come it took you this long to meet with us again? Kaye is leaving in 2 weeks.
Sue: I barely have enough energy to go back to the dorm with our current schedule, besides I heard you two are together most of the time. Didn’t want to be a third wheel.
Kaye: I guess he just missed you that’s why he’s whining.
Sue: I missed you too...So tell me what have you both been up to?
Ian and Kaye looked at each other and wondered if they should tell Sue about the night at the park...
Sue: Oh ok...so you’re going to keep things from me now?
Kaye: There is nothing to tell, we decided to stay friends
Sue: Stay friends meaning that status changed at one point?
Ian: We talked about how we felt for each other and agreed that this is not the right time to pursue a relationship.
Sue: How old are you guys again? Wow, that is so mature of you both. But seriously, who knows what’ll happen in the near future, why limit yourselves to thinking that you’re relationsh
