Romeo & Juliet

 Jiyeon stepped out of your gate and looked back at your house. *The boys don’t approve of her with Zico? I wonder what happened between them. Hmm. But things got more interesting. I have an advantage to the game now.* A smirk with bad intention crossed her face.

“Miss.” The chauffeur got out and opened her door.

“Let’s go.” She smoothly entered the car and it took off.

There was a meeting in the living room and everyone was sitting on the couch, waiting for Yongguk to spit his venom out. You nervously bit your fingernail. Youngjae lightly pushed your hand away, “That’s not very ladylike.”

You could care least about being ladylike right now. You just wanted to dig a hole and crawl into it.

Yongguk took a deep breath. All of you froze.

“Uh-oh.” Himchan said. *Help.* You squeezed Zelo’s arm. He squeezed back, also frightened. All of you were frightened to death of Yongguk’s anger. It was like the end of the world was coming.

Yongguk whirled around and pointed right at you, “YOU!”

You jumped. Jongup, Zelo, and Youngjae jumped to your defense immediately.

“She didn’t mean to-“

“It was his fault-“

“Please forgive her-“

“QUIET!” Yongguk roared. They immediately shut up.

You bit your lip. *I’m dead now.*

“Do you have ears? Did you or did you not listen to my warning? Did you just let it go in one ear and out the other? Huh? ANSWER ME!” He demanded.

You flinched. “I-I heard you.” You felt your body become numb and literally started to shake. The biggest fear you had was Yongguk’s wrath. He was one fierce warrior when he was pissed. Daehyun looked at you in concern. *Yongguk hyung won’t dare hit her right?* His body became tense as Yongguk grabbed a chair. But all he did was bring it over and sit in front of you.

“Look at me.”

You did as told.

“If you heard me, why didn’t you listen to me? Did you think I was joking? Do you not take my words seriously anymore? Now that you’re a junior and you can take care of yourself?” Yongguk asked.

Tears welled up in your eyes, “N-no, oppa.”

Himchan softened. He hated seeing you cry. Himchan walked over and pushed Yongguk back a bit. “That’s enough. You can see she’s really repenting.”

Yongguk ignored him, “Why do you keep hanging around Zico? Do you like him?”

“No!” You blurted. “Then?” He asked.

You exhaled a shaky breath and wiped your ready-to-fall tears away, “I-I don’t know. He hangs around me a lot-“

“And you don’t push him away?” Yongguk furrowed his eyebrows.

Youngjae spoke for you, “She tried, hyung. I saw-“

“Shut your mouth. I wasn’t asking you.” Yongguk’s eyes were still on you. Youngjae closed his mouth with a sigh.

“Zico is sort of…persistent.” You mumbled. “But…he’s not all that bad.” You thought about him and went off on a tangent, “He can be nice at times. He buys me milk. He doesn’t ignore me in the hallways. He makes me laugh. So I guess overall he’s not a very bad person-“

You stopped when you felt six pair of eyes staring at you as if you were an alien.

“…Did you just call Zico ‘good’?” Himchan asked.

You bit your lip. *I spoke too much.*

“Yeojin, Zico and the word ‘good’ cannot be used together in a sentence.” Yongguk sighed and shook his head, “You’re so naïve.” “Am not.” You argued.

Yongguk firmly hooked his hands around your knees and closed your legs together. He looked into your eyes and you blinked back, slightly leaning back at the same time. “Song Yeojin,” His voice was gentler, “You’re young and you’re a girl so you don’t know much.”

“Thanks.” You sarcastically muttered.

Yongguk shook his head, “I’m not talking education-wise. I know you’re smart. I’ve seen your report cards. I mean you don’t know much about what a guy really thinks. Zico is the type of guy that would stab your back. He seems nice and friendly but his real motive is to get into your pants.”

Your eyes widened. You looked up at Himchan *Is that true?!* He nodded firmly as if saying, “Yep, unfortunately.”

You shook your head, “No way-“

“You never know. Do you really know anything about Zico besides the fact that he’s sweet to you and talks to you at school?” Yongguk asked.

*I know that his family is in Japan. I know he likes to go to the Han River to think.* But saying that now would be a death sentence.

Yongguk put his hand on top of your head and gently rubbed it, “I’m only saying these things because I care for you. None of us want to see you get hurt. I don’t want you to come crying up to me only to tell you ‘I told you so’. Do you understand?” You nodded and mumbled, “I understand.”

Yongguk smiled now, “Good. So stay away from him, araso?” You merely nodded.

“Go upstairs.” He said. “I’m grounded?” You made a face.

Yongguk sweetly patted your cheek, “Unless you want me to get the marriage document out.”

“Going.” You stood up right away and left.

Yongguk stood up with a sigh of content. Himchan gave him a befuddled look, “You really have the marriage documents ready?” “Pfft. No.” Yongguk rolled his eyes. “Good, because I would’ve kicked your ass then!” Himchan threatened. Yongguk laughed and lightly punched his shoulder.

The younger boys were about to leave but Yongguk pointed, “YAH!”

They froze, “Y-yes, hyung?”

“I better not get another report that Yeojin is anywhere near that fucker. I do and YOU ALL are in trouble.” He gave them an intimidating glare.

Youngjae threw up his hands, “But hyung that’s not fair! We can’t keep an eye on her 24/7!”

“TRY. I mean it. That disrespectful bastard cannot be anywhere near our pure Yeojin.” Yongguk gave them a look. “Pure, my ass.” Youngjae muttered.

“I’m serious. The day that Yeojin and Zico meet…” Yongguk moved his thumb across his throat, “You all know, right?” “Yes, hyung.” The boys mumbled. “Good. Go.” Yongguk nodded. They dragged themselves to the stairs.

“What the hell? I feel like I’ve been dragged into some Romeo-Juliet shit. Who cares?! Just let them date for all I care! I’m not her bodyguard!” Youngjae complained.

Daehyun swiftly glared at him and purposely kicked his leg.

“OW!” Youngjae tripped and fell down. He glared back, “WHO DID THAT?!”

Zelo’s eyes widened and he innocently waved his hands, “Not me, hyung! I swear!”

While Youngjae continued to give him the dirty eye, Daehyun rolled his eyes and passed by. *Stupid Youngjae. How can you say that so easily? I should’ve kicked you in the head instead for thinking of something idiotic as that.*
