Chanwoo and Moonbin were best of friends from childhood. Moonbin moved away when they started middle school, they used to catch up about things even when they were apart but it became lesser as the time went. 

Chanwoo was a smart kid however tended to be bashful. Donghyuk saw Chanwoo struggling to open up and approached him if he wanted to join him and his bestfriend June during lunch. Donghyuk swears that day he saw Chanwoo's eyes lit up. Donghyuk was a really nice kid who loved his friends and doing whatever makes his feel most alive.

June was first hesitant to befriend Chanwoo, he assumed they won't click but he always saw Chanwoo buried in a book. His view of Chanwoo changed when Chanwoo recommended songs and books he read. Like him Chanwoo was guarded. Chanwoo and Donghyuk were the smartest of their class, with Donghyuk even being the class president while him he's contented just passing his courses. June liked them the most because they don't know anything about his family nor social status. He felt that he's their friend simply because he was himself.
