Chapter Four

Lights Off

Chapter Four

“Hey you don’t have to do that.” Yongbae said, stepping up beside Seunghyun who was standing at the sink washing the pans that Yongbae had used to make breakfast.“I can do it.”

“Let’s go out.” Yongbae’s eyes widened as he turned to stare at him.

“W-what?” he stuttered.

“It’s our day off.” Seunghyun said, “We should go do something fun.”

“Oh.” Yongbae said, his face faltering and his heart beating faster than normal. Seunghyun frowned.

“What?” he asked. Yongbae quickly shook his head,

“Nothing.” Yongbae answered, looking up at Seunghyun. “What do you want to do?” he asked. Seunghyun shrugged,

“I don’t know. Is there anything in particular that you’ve wanted to do?” he asked. Yongbae shook his head again. On his days off, he usually just wanted to relax. But the idea of doing something with his hyung was exciting.

“Maybe we could go see a movie?” he quietly suggested. Seunghyun nodded thoughtfully,

“If that’s what you want.” He said. Yongbae frowned,

“If you don’t want to-“

“No, no, it’s not that, it’s just, I feel like we might be easily recognized if we go to see a movie.” He quickly explained. Yongbae sighed, looking relieved.

“Oh. I didn’t think about that.” He said. Seunghyun grinned at how shy the younger was being. “We could just watch a movie here again.” He suggested. Seunghyun shook his head,

“That would defeat the purpose of us going out and having a nice break.” He explained. Yongbae shrugged,

“It doesn’t really matter though, right? I mean…as long as we’re together?” The older couldn’t stop the smile from spreading across his face,

“You do make a good point.”

“I’m sure the others will go out to a club or something, so we’ll be alone.” Yongbae said, then pausing and widening his eyes, “Not that that’s what I wanted! I mean it wouldn’t be bad! I mean-“

“Yongbae.” Seunghyun said, stopping his rant. “It’s okay. Alone is good.” He said. Yongbae looked away, a light blush reaching his cheeks.

“Okay.” He said quietly. Seunghyun reached up and gently nudged his forehead.

“Don’t think too hard about things. We’re good.” Yongbae sighed.

“Hyung?” he asked.

“Hm?” Seunghyun hummed, turning back around to finish the dishes.

“Can I ask you a question?” he asked quietly. Seunghyun nodded his head. “It’s a serious question, hyung.” He said.

“Okay, I’m listening.” He said, still working on the dishes. Yongbae hesitated. He really wanted his undivided attention.

“Okay…here it goes…” he started, ringing his hands nervously. “I know that this probably wont make any sense, and I know you wont understand it…I hardly understand it myself…and maybe you’re just being nice and I’m confused…but…”

“Yongbae.” Seunghyun interrupted.

“Yeah?” he asked nervously.

“Are you trying to confess to me?” he asked, slightly amused. Yongbae’s eyes widened,

“I…don’t…I-I didn’t…I was…cause you-“ Seunghyun stepped forward and silenced him, leaning down and gently brushed his lips against the younger’s. Yongbae stood absolutely still, his eyes still wide open. But the feeling of Seunghyun’s hands on his waist, pulling him closer made them close and he hesitantly placed his hand on the back of Seunghyun’s neck. He didn’t know how long the kiss lasted but he was out of breath by the time Seunghyun pulled away, leaning his forehead on Yongbae’s. Yongbae blinked slowly, chewing lightly on his bottom lip. Seunghyun smiled,

“You’re cute when you’re shy.” He whispered. Yongbea’s cheeks turned a deep shade of red. No one ever got to hear the softer side of Seunghyun. He kind of liked being one of the only ones.

“S-so….” Yongbae stuttered, pulling away from the rapper.

“So?” Seunghyun repeated, still smiling at him. Yongbae pouted,

“Never mind.” He said softly. Seunghyun chuckled,

“Me too.” Seunghyun said turning back to the dishes.

“What?” Yongbae asked.

“My answer. I like you too.” He said. Yongbae bit his lip harder trying not to smile. “Now let me finish these dishes and we can go do something. Go get ready.” Yongbae nodded quickly and headed towards the door. But then he stopped and turned around,

“Hey hyung?” he asked. Seunghyun turned around,

“Hm?” he asked. Yongbae smiled,

“Thank you.” He said sweetly before quickly walking out of the room. Seunghyun rolled his eyes and smiled.

“That kid.” He said, glad that he wasn’t able to see the blush that was spreading across his cheeks.

Sorry that it's taken me so long to update this! I know it's been so long. Real life has just totally gotten in the way I guess. Anyway, I know that this chapter probably wasn't as long as you may have been hoping it would be, but I think it was a good re-entry into it. The next chapter will be much longer. I can promise you that. I have already written half of it and it's pretty much already twice the size of this one. So I hope this one hold you over until I type the next one!

Again, sorry for the inactivity!! ><
