Myungsoo’s POV

“So, in two weeks you guys are gonna have a competition. Please get ready okay. Don’t you dare be absent on practice! Especially you, Myungsoo and Woohyun. You guys are one of my best players.” Coach told me which Sungyeol, Woohyun and I nod

“Okay sir, I’ll make sure these two airheads are never absent from our practices.” I told him holding to my bestfriends shoulder which they glare at me

“What the hell dude?! Gross!” Sungyeol whines

“I know we’re bestfriends but I like girls. I prefer to make out with new girl than be with you. Gross.” Woohyun adds

“New girl?” I repeat giving a smile. How dare you pick on my target?! Even wanna make out? Over my dead body bij :)

“Uh...oh! I mean Jisoo! Yeah! I meant Jisoo right? Jisoo!” Woohyun exclaims Nervously which start a banther between him and Sungyeol

I back away slowly and about to enter the class but I accidentally bump to Sungjong who was about to enter as well.

“Kim Myungsoo, please be a gentlmen and let me in.” She told me gritting her teeth

I back away letting her in...but at the meantime, where’s the fun?

“What the heck Myungsoo?!” she shouts as I pull her back to the door

“Our business ain’t done yet.” I told her

“Then say it. Where were you these two weeks anyways? Can’t you like deal with it yesterday, weeks ago....?” she asks awkwardly

“Touche, but it ain’t working for me so now it’s the right time.” I said as I pin her down to a door

“This isn’t the business I thought it would look like. I dont remember making a ual bargain to you.” She told me

“Oh, no never. It’s just too secretive, so shush and listen.” I answer before leaning to her ear to whisper “Are you flirting at me?”

“Flirting?!” She gasps as I shush her so anyone won’t hear

“I knew it. First break and here we are as thirdwheels.” I heard Woohyun said

“You guys aren’t thirdwheels! This guy is just cray cray!!” Sungjong shouts

Unfortunately.... you calling me crazy isn’t the right timming Sungjong...

“Crazy?! Look at the mirror you sly lil b*tch!” Jisoo’s voice boom against the hall way as she goes between us and pins her into the door quite harshly. Oof hope you’re okay there Lemonnie.

“Yes, just like you. What’s with you two? Myungsoo can’t stop dealing with his own business and not interfere with mine and you just can’t stay away from me don’t you?” Sungjong answers calmly

‘Oof! That’s a good comeback! But seriously?! I in for your own good lemonnie!’ I mentally compliment and scold her at the same time

“If you do like him, take him. He seems intreseted while I’m not. So please back off and leave me alone. I have no intention to steal your QueenB crown, your cheerleading position and probably your soon-to-be boyfriend.” She continues “so now if you excuse me.” She finally said before going to class

“Oof! So much sass! This is hot!” Sungyeol exclaims

“I know right.” Woohyun agrees

“Say that one more time, I triple decker dare you.” I told them as Woohyun shuts up and follows me to class

“Trust me, Myungsoo. I’m just there to make Yein Jealous.” He whispers

“Good. Because it’s not working idiot!” I scold him as I smack his head

Yein’s POV

“Di-did he just said  that Sungjong's hot?!” I gasp to Jiae and Mijoo

“No, doubt that! Sungjong is flat as a board!” Mijoo answers

“I-is it you then? Because you’re curvy?” I Innocently asks

“No, baby Yein! It’s not me. Jisoos why would I even seduce him, he’s gross.” Mijoo answers

“He is perfect and adorable and a cinnamon roll!” I whine

“Great, we have another love-slave after Sungyeol.” Kei said rolling her eyes

“Kei! When you saw them flirting why didn’t you do anything?!” Jisoo asks

“I did! I scold them so they won’t flirt anymore.” Kei answers

“Which doesn’t work.” Mijoo adds

“Uh! Uh! It’s not good, Jiyeon~” Mijoo and Jiae said in unison

“Guys...I’m going to class first okay.” I said as I walk to class sadly

Author's POV

Inside, Sungjong is sitting down daydreaming about how she misses her mom.

‘What if mom and dad didn’t do that divorce? Would I stay in TS high school? With Hyosung eonnie? I really miss her. Both her and mom.’ Sungjong thought sadly ‘Mom please come back, I miss you a lot.’ She continues her thoughts

Unfortunately her sad day dreaming is interupted by Jisoo’s loud voice announcing her identntiy to the whole school.

“Hey guys! Guess what?! There’s 2017’s ex champion here! Amazing huh?!” Jisoo starts “Well too bad that’s useless now. Because she can’t use it here.” She continues

“Then I’ll prove it! I’ll prove that your words are wrong!” Sungjong exclaims

“No need. Because there can only be one best cheerleader and that person is....?”

“Seo Jisoo!” Lovelyz replied which Jisoo smirks in responds knowing she has supporter

“See, as long as I’m here there is no way, you’re going to shine, ex-champion.” She continues

“Come on, girls! Let’s go!” Jisoo told Lovelyz as they get out of the class

Hoya’s POV

I run as fast as possible to class afraid my friends are gonna leave me further more my clothes are still there.

“Wait for me guys!!” I shout as I reach my class earning a laugh from Sungyeol and Woohyun

“Took you long enough, Hoya.” Myungsoo said

“I was in the toilet.” I admit

“Too much food?” Woohyun asks which I nod as an answer

“Ah before going to practice, let’s build a strategy so we won’t lose on our own practice.” Myungsoo suggest

“That’s a great idea! Let’s do that!” Sungyeol responds as he pulls his chair closer to Myungsoo’s table while I did the same but with my table so it’s more comfortable.

As I was doing that, my eyes are suddenly focusing on Sungjong, the new girl. I don’t know why but she’s so pretty that long blonde hair and her pretty face, even though it seems that she’s sad. I’ll go ask her what’s wrong after this.

“Yak, Lee Hoya! Focus!” Myungsoo scolds

“I am!” I answer

“Good. Anyways, you’re gonna be at the back Sungyeol because you’re tall and can reach the goal while Hoya and I are gonna go for the attack because we’re fast. Woohyun you know what to do buddy.” Myungsoo explains

“Can’t I get a different job? Geez all I do is catch the ball and pass it to this oaf!” Woohyun pouts pointing to Sungyeol who pretends to get hurt

“Ouch! That hurts! Ough!” Sungyeol exclaims dramatically which Woohyun and Myungsoo laugh at

“Shut up, drama queen. No wonder you got a crush on Jisoo!” Myungsoo laughs

“You’re quite fast too though, how about if we switch?” I suggest

“No. Woohyun has asthma. It might get triggered when he’s running too much.” Myungsoo rejects which Woohyun pouts

“But after this I’ll be the one taking over the camera! Okay?!” Woohyun exclaims

“That’s not fair!” Myungsoo argues

Author’s POV

Outside lovelyz are practicing so that they can cheer properly for the basketball team in two weeks. The practice went on smoothly that is until Jisoo who steps incorrectly almost fell.

“Oh my God!” Mijoo, Yein, and Jiae gasp as they catch Jisoo so she won’t fall down

“What the heck, Kei?! I told you to hold me proplerly!” she shouts

“I did!” Kei argues

“Okay, stop it! Stop arguing over something so petty.” Jiae scolds stopping them

“I will, unless she apologizes.” Jisoo answers

“Excuse me?! I hold you correctly, but your feet didn’t step on my hand properly okay?!” Kei shouts

“Can’t you just say sorry and go with it?!” Mijoo shouts back

“I can but I don’t want too! Why should I when I’m not even guilty!” Kei argues just as loud

“Eonniedeul! Stop it!” Yein exclaims as she goes between them

“Fine, from now on. Kim Jiyeon is out from our team!” Jisoo exclaims

“What?! No! you can’t do that!” Jiae exclaims

“Who’s gonna do those awesome flips and splits if Kei is out?!” Mijoo asks

“Yeah, who’s gonna do all that?” Yein asks

“We’ll find the replace for her. Don’t worry.” Jisoo answers as Kei storms away

Luckily for Kei, Myungsoo and Woohyun see her storming away. They look at each other and go after her.

“Yak! How about practice?!” Sungyeol shouts

“Later!” Myungsoo exclaims

“Jiyeon-ah!” Myungsoo calls out holding Kei’s wrist so she won’t walk any further

“Not you again. What do you want?!” Kei asks harshly

“Hey, hey. What’s wrong?” Myungsoo asks “Woohyun buy some ice tea for her.”

“What? Uh…okay?” Woohyun said confusedly as he runs to get some ice tea

“Come on, let’s sit.” Myungsoo offers as he and Kei walks to a seat by the field

After Woohyun returning with the tea, Myungsoo waits for Kei to tell him as she drinks her tea. Kei has always been his bestfriend besides Woohyun, Hoya and Sungyeol. She’s just like his sister.

“She…kicked me out.” Kei explains

“Kicked you out?! Jisoo?!” Woohyun gasps as Kei nod

“That b*tch….” Grumbles Myungsoo

“Whooa there buddy! Calm down.” Woohyun said stopping Myungsoo

“Seriously? How can she kick such a talented girl like you?” Myungsoo asks which Kei shakes her head

“I don’t know….” Kei answers

“It’s fine, that means it’s her lost.” Woohyun said

“Yeah, Woohyun’s right. If she kicks you out it’s her lost. Because she just lost the sweetest girl in school.” Myungsoo said

“Geez oppa! So cheesy! Lemon eonnie would be triggered!” Kei laughs

“Lemon?” Woohyun asks

“Uh….. ignore that.” Myungsoo answers

“Oh my God! Nooooooooooo waaaay!” Woohyun exclaims

“Shut up!” Myungsoo whines as he close Woohyun’s mouth“No tea just facts.” Kei said sassily as she drinks her tea again

Meanwhile on the other side of Woolim high school, Jangjun is sitting on the school’s bench that is until a girl pokes his shoulder

“Hey.” She greets

“Hello to you too.” Jangjun answers smiling slightly

“I’m Sungyoon, we’re classmates.” She said

“Cool. I’m-“

“Jangjun. I know.” She said

“Quite smooth are we?” Jangjun teased as she blush

“Uh… I was just being nice!” she pouts

Jangjun chuckles as he pat the empy spot beside him

“Come and sit.” He told her  

“O-Okay.” She said as she sits there “class is staring soon you know?”

“I know, but I want to sit here for a while. Enjoy the view and the fresh air.” Jangjun explains

“You’re feeling down aren’t you?” Sungyoon guesses

“Apparently, yes I am.” Jangjun answers

“Don’t worry! I’m here to listen to your problems. Choi Sungyoon ready for service~” Sungyoon said cutely

“No need. You’re too innocent to hear my problems.” Jangjun said pinching Sungyonn’s cheek slightly

“Yak! That hurts!!!!” Sungyoon whines

Back to the second grade of Woolim high school. At the cafeteria, Lovelyz appear and announces their audition for new member. Sungjong stares at them announcing it awkwardly and confusedly. She did want to prove that Jisoo’s words are wrong but she can’t.  What if they reject her?

Suddenly all her thoughts are erased as Hoya sits down in front of her.

“Hey.” Hoya greets her

“Hey….” Sungjong greets back awkwardly

“Still don’t remember me huh?” he asks

Sungjong shakes her head awkwardly and continues to drink her soft drink. Hoya chuckles at this as he shows their childhood picture through his wallet

“Oh my God! Howonnie?!” Sungjong gasps

“That’s right, Jonggie~” Hoya answers

“You looked so different! Oh my, is that purple hair?!” she laughs

“I do dye my hair here and then. You did that too though. Really bleaching your beautiful hair? Sungjong you’ve gone crazy!” Hoya jokes back

“Hey, this is fabulous okay~” she pouts

Turns out, without them knowing Myungsoo, Woohyun and Kei are watching them.

“Awwww Hoya oppa has found his childhood friend. All his search now has finished~” Kei said to trigger Myungsoo

“Yak this girl….!” Myungsoo grumbles

“Oh my God! They’re coming this way!” Woohyun exclaims as he pulls Myungsoo and Kei to hide.

“You know you might want to try that audition?” Hoya suggest as they walk pass the trio’s hiding spot

“Audition? Nah, don’t wanna. She might reject me and she’s gonna bully me even more.” Sungjong pouts

“At least you gotta try right?” Hoya asks

“True.” Sungjong nods

“Come on, it’s almost time for it!” Hoya exclaims as he drags Sungjong to the audition place which is at the auditorium

The trio got out from their hiding spot and stare at Hoya dragging Sungjong. This forms a knowing smirk on Kei’s lips.

“Oppa, you good?” she asks

“I’m fine.” Myungsoo answers

“Let’s go this is some good tea.” Woohyun said

Speaking of audition it didn’t go that well because from first contestant to the last no one fit the standard!

“Uh uh! That’s not good!” Lovelyz said in unison to the last contestant

“From start to end yet we still haven’t find her! Can’t we just take Kei back?” Mijoo asks

“Yeah. Just take her back.” Yein adds

“No way! She betrayed me and that is it.” Jisoo answers

“Hey, if you want someone talented all I got is Sungjong.” Hoya said suddenly shocking everyone

“Hoya?!” the girls gasp

“No! I will not. As I said, she’s not allowed.” Jisoo answers “now go back to practice Hoya. I bet Myungsoo is waiting for you.” She continues

“Speaking of him….” Hoya said eye-ing Myungsoo who is there the whole time with Kei and Woohyun

“Oh sh*t!” Kei swears as she runs out afraid to get caught hanging out with Myungsoo and Woohyun.

“Jisoo, all you have to do is let her join. It’s for our school too right?” Myungsoo said stepping forward

“Well if so. You can but there’s a challenge. Please do a backflip and front flip then a split and right after do a cartwheel.” She said

“what? It’s just an audition. Are you sure?” Sungjong asks

“Well that is if you want to. You’re TALENTED right?” Jisoo answers smirking

“Can’t you just accept her already?! She did BEAT you during the competition over your shameless request right?” Myungsoo roast

Sungjong had enough of it and goes outside resting on the wall sighing. Myungsoo did the same and sees her leaning there.

“Can’t you just deal with your own business? This is cheers business, not basketball.” Sungjong said

“True, but I was just helping you.” Myungsoo answers

“Well I’m not a damsel in distress. So move! I got this.” Sungjong said

Sungjong returns and accepts the challenge earning cheers and claps from everyone.

“Good luck, Sungjonggie! You can do it!” Hoya exclaims

‘Even Hoya believes in me. I should believe in myself then…’ Sungjong thought smiling as she hears Hoya cheering for her

“Come on, time is ticking~” Jisoo said rolling her eyes

“Okay.” Sungjong answers as she starts to the first challenge, back flip

Back flip, front flip, splits all went well that is until she was about to do the cartwheel. She did the cartwheel unfortunately when she stops to do the last split she lost her balance.

‘Come on just fall! Fall! Fall!’ Jisoo thought bitting her lips trying to not show her excitement seeing Sungjong fall off and failing the audition.

“Oh no! Sungjong, stay put!” Hoya exclaims

“Come on, don’t fall!” Woohyun exclaims triggering Yein at some point (a/n: Poor Yein)

‘She can’t fall now, so close!’ Kei thought worriedly

But she did. Luckily, someone caught her just in time.

“Myu-Myungsoo?” she gasps

“Not a damsel in distress huh?” He jokes with a smirk

Sungjong just stays still staring awkwardly at Myungsoo while a smile form in Myungsoo’s face for some reason.
