I frantically grabbed the family phone sitting on the coffee table, dialing 119, the familiar telephone number for the ambulance. I remembered that I was sent to the hospital before because of a broken leg due to practice.

"Hello, this is the National Emergency Management Agency here," I heard a woman's voice travel through the telephone, all hopes previously lost suddenly rushing back. "H-hello, my mother is unconscious here. I'm at..." I hurriedly told her my address and hung up the phone, turning my attention back to my unconscious mother, grabbing her limp body as I rock back and forth in pure fear, waiting for help to come. I remembered how lost I felt at that time. I was getting scolded by my trainers at SM almost everyday for gaining weight, feeling tired, falling sick and not dancing well enough.

Not to mention, I was also yelled at by my father for not being able to debut and wasting my time on dance. I felt that the only person truly close to me was my eomma. And I couldn't bear to lose her. 

Without her, my life would be pointless.

Blinking back my tears, I spared a small look at my mother, the rather large pool of blood on her blood-stained shirt, the expression on her face displaying one of fear. No, I can't lose her just like this! If she died... then there's no point of me living as well.

The ambulance finally arrived, the sirens blaring nosily, lights flashing and flickering like crazy, illuminating the cold winter night. If it wasn't for the fact that I was the one who needed the ambulance , I might have turned over and continued sleeping as how I usually did whenever I heard the familiar sirens. It was different this time. This time, I understood the fear and panic over hearing the sirens blaring loudly, the sound of possible death awaiting for someone you cared about. It was terrifying and at the same time reliving to hear the sirens.<
