Foreword
Prologue
“Hello?” Jungwoo picked pair of his wireless bluetooth earphones and plugs it to his ear. His right hand is busy handling the steering wheel while his other hand has been busy since several minutes ago roaming around under his seat and the other seat as well to look for his wallet.
“When should I pick you up?”
“Oh —“ he cursed under his breathe, totally forgot he was on the phone call.
“What?”
“—oh no. I am not cursing at you, of course. Sorry. I just… I think I left my wallet in the restaurant where I met my client previously.”
“You always forgot your things.” the person on the other end hissled, to which Jungwoo only responds him with a chuckle.
“Yeah, yeah. I guess I have to go back—“ he took a glance of the backseat over his rearview and realized, “—damn, I actually left everything and my flight back to Seoul is in 3 hours, hope I will make it.”
“You are really stupid.”
“Save that mockery for later, I have to make a U-turn. Will call you later.”
Jungwoo heard a ‘bye’ and a click from the other end before his right hand reached to remove his earplugs while his left hand makes the U-turn on the steering wheel. It is surely impossible to make a U-turn perfectly with only one hand working. When his right hand is finally free from other duties and it is able to handle the steering wheel as well, a firetruck from different direction comes to his way with such high speed and sirens and loud honks. Truth to be told, the truck has been honking for nth times but Jungwoo failed to listen as he just removed the earplugs few seconds ago. Jungwoo pushed his brake, the same way the truck suddenly did as he heard screeching sound from the wheels of the truck hitting the road, but everything has been too late.
Dar!
The last thing Jungwoo remembers was his car is being spun several meters away and his body was flunked out of the car as his last attempt to save his life was opening the car door. The last thing he remembers is the colour of his blood, sounds of screams from everyone nearby, and suddenly, everything went dark.
