   KYUNGSOO'S FIRST HEARTBREAK was with a boy the same age as him - nicolás pérez.

 

   he remembers he liked nicolás a lot, and kyungsoo was so positive that he liked him too. they dated long enough for kyungsoo to believe it. the spanish-born boy was only a little taller than kyungsoo and his features were soft, much like kyungsoo's were. he had an endearing, gentle smile that kyungsoo always felt secure around. 

 

   at the time, the age of sixteen, he thought they'd be together for a long time. for that time, kyungsoo might have been under the impression that maybe, just maybe, they were in love. however, he was broken up with, and that same day, he saw a girl clinging to nicolás's arm. he had been cheated on and kyungsoo was just left in a million pieces. 

 

   kyungsoo tried writing poetry and making songs out of them. they ended up on his tumblr page most of the time, just to showcase his writings mainly, but also to release. maybe someone else understood what he was going through. maybe someone on the other side just needed to know. that was okay with him.

 

   on the sixteenth of november 2014, he received a message via the ask box on his tumblr page. it was anonymous, but the message was so sweet and sincere, kyungsoo cried. 

 

"hi there! i just wanted to say, you're a super creative and brilliant writer and singer. and i know your writings must be hugely personal to you so i guess i can say i understand what you're experiencing. i've been through it too. if you need a shoulder to lean on, i'll reveal myself and be there for you! you deserve that, hyung!"

 

   kyungsoo had tears in his eyes when he finished. it was odd how such a short and simple message made him so happy, relieved. he smiled and replied to the message.

 

"YOU MADE ME CRY, DAMN YOU. thank you, it really means a lot and!! yes please reveal yourself and pm me"

 

   it wasn't long after that kyungsoo received a private message. they had a profile picture of a cute, white poodle that kyungsoo chuckled at when he opened the conversation.
