Seulgi wished more than anything that she had not climbed back onto this ing platform. All she had wanted was to eavesdrop on her partner and her boss. It was a perfectly justifiable and in no way insane desire. Granted, sneaking past them and climbing up the platform ladder as all of the other spies had been filing into the locker room may have been a smidge over the top, but it wasn’t her fault that the two of them were too oblivious to notice. Oblivious secret agents, what the hell even was this world anymore?
But they weren’t the only ones who had been oblivious. Seulgi cemented her eyes shut and tried to fight back the words that were relentlessly attempting to permeate her consciousness.
“The feelings are one-sided.”
“We’d never work.”
How could she have been so stupid? She could feel the sting of rallying tears building behind her eyelids. AH.
She pounded her fist against the platform. OUCH. THAT NEVER WORKS, SEULGI. NEVER.
Fist throbbing, she crawled her way over to the ladder that would lead her safely back to the ground. She grabbed it with one hand and, after glancing below, recoiled from the edge of the platform.
“Well, that’s a hell no.” she grumbled. Seulgi returned the center of the flat surface and laid down on her back. She could feel her pulse thrumming frantically against her wrists.
How the hell had she managed to fall from so high a distance before? The only thing missing now was… . Of course it was Sehun, of course everything was easier when he was around. Sehun, who not only did not love her in return, but who was also probably aware that Seulgi was so far gone that she saw soft-haired Adonis every night in her sleep. Stifling a groan, she rolled onto her side and hugged her knees.
It’s okay, Seulgi. You can fix this. You just have to go to Sehun and reestablish yourself as his 100% platonic roommate/best friend/partner who is in no way, shape, or form resembles a love-struck, ually frustrated puppy. Right. Completely doable.
She looked towards the ladder and grimaced.
I’ll just wait for someone to come by and help me down first.

It was already well past dusk when Seulgi stumbled into the flat. Which, to be fair, wasn’t so bad considering that she might not have made it home at all had it not been for some scrawny, pimplyfaced, intern who had stayed late at the agency (who she may or may not have intimidated into secrecy after her feet had found the blessed ground once more).
“Hey!” Sehun chirped from the sofa. “Where have you been?”
“Oh, you know.” Hearing how fragile it sounded, she immediately tried to imbue her voice with a healthy dosage of rugged nonchalance. “I just stayed late to get in some extra training. It was very rigorous.”
“Seul… are you growling?” Sehun arched one too-perfect brow.
Seulgi choked. Literally choked. It took all of her acting skills, acquired during years of participating in school musicals, to transform her desperate sputtering into a passible faux cough.
“Of course not. I just had something down my throat. IN. I had something IN my throat. Like a hair or a… TEA. Want some tea?” Seulgi chomped down on her bottom lip.
“No thanks, ear. Are you okay?” Sehun was staring at her as if she had grown an extra head.
“Mhmmm, fine.” Seulgi was pretty sure that she’d still want to pin Sehun to the couch and bugger his brains out even if she had three heads.
“Alright… want to watch Peter Pan?” Her partner’s eyes glittered with excitement.
She stifled a groan. “Sure, H-hun.” How was she supposed to act normal when her partner was this enthusiastic about PETER PAN? She had never been so aroused by someone’s inner four year old in her entire life.
Tentatively, she made her way over to the couch and sat on the opposite side of Sehun. 77 minutes. She just had to last 77 minutes and then she could go to
