Suspicious Requests“Good morning.”
Underneath the blankets, Bong Hee curls up a little more and decides to pretend like she hadn’t heard her obvious wake up call. Just as she was sure that she’d convinced Ji Wook that she was asleep still, she feels the blanket being torn away from her. She hisses under her breath and moves her arm up to cover her eyes.
“Good morning. Sleeping beauty, wake up.”
Her lips form into a small, bashful smile, and she clears before she opens her eyes and makes an attempt to conceal the smile, and only when she’s sure that it’s at least well concealed, she looks over towards him. Her lips press together tightly and she crosses her arms in an act of defiance, but he only smiles at her.
When it’s obvious to Ji Wook that she isn’t intending to move from her spot, he moves closer to her and he places a hand underneath her back, the other gently cradling her head, he pulls her up into a sitting position and runs his hands through her hair. She leans into the touch, her hand reaching up to link with his. And he leans forward and kisses her forehead, and runs one hand down her arm.
“Time to get up. I have a day off.”
Bong Hee inhales sharply and looks at him. “A day off?” She’s confused at first, because he never has days off. The only time she’s sure he’d ever have a day off was if he took a sick day – but even then she’s fairly sure they’re a little strict with how they organize days off. Especially at last minute, which it seemed to be. She frowns, sighs and leans back a little from him.
“You took a day off just to stay home?”
Ji Wook blinks twice, looks at her, and then back away. “Shouldn’t I have?”
“Wow…” Bong Hee breathes, before she moves to cross her legs. But before she can get too comfortable, Ji Wook grabs her underneath her knees and his other arm moved to support her back.
