PROLOGUE:

“…Oppa?”

“Hm?”

She eyed him thoughtfully, not sure how to word her question in a way that would give the least misunderstandings. He returned the look questioningly, his eyebrow rose when she was silent for too long.

“..It’s nothing, nevermind.” She finally said, deciding there was really no logical way to ask her question. She always shied away from asking questions she deemed would cause an uncomfortable atmosphere.

He stopped walking and turned to her, catching her shoulders to make her face him. He studied her expression carefully and now it was her turn to return a questioning look.

He wasn’t buying it. “Are you sure it’s nothing?”

She stared, a little startled at the question, before the corners of twitched upwards

She stifled a laugh, “Are you sure it’s nothing?”

The irony of the situation seemed humorous to her that she couldn’t help but respond the way she did. A split second later, she realized she had let slip the awkward question she decided she wouldn't ask. Embarrassed, she quickly stopped giggling, her eyes wide as her head shot up to see his expression.

His confused face was all the confirmation she needed that he had not understood her question. Or rather, the context they were meant to be in.

“Haha, what’s with that face?” She laughed, easing the situation instantly

His face relaxed before turning into one of playful annoyance, “What are you talking about? This face is going to be loved by millions of fangirls.”

“You mean, your mom” She shot back, almost immediately

“Very funny.” He fake laughed, but acknowledging her win all the same

She continued to smile as they paced down the hallway, side by side. She glanced at her watch, only a few more minutes before the world would officially be introduced to what was going to be one of the hottest boygroups in asia.

“Beast.”
