Let Me Know-YoonGi

Let Me Know YoonJin

Laying in bed now feels tormenting.

What he felt as a relief,
Now became his hell.

He can't stand his lingering smell that refused to leave.
He can't stand the coldness he gets when his hand reaches to grasp the other, only to be met with a cold mattress.

What he can't stand the most are the memories. The memories of him.

He rolled onto his back.
Eyes, now lifeless. Heart, still beating. Hands, now trembling. Mind, now telling him to give up.

He won't listen to those voices again.
Not again.

For his brother, he will stay strong,
and for him.

He won't admit it, but he's scared.
Scared of those demons that have now grown louder and overflowed his thoughts. He's scared they will spill out.

Slowly sitting up, he looks out his room window. He feels pathetic, he's still longing to see him, even though he knows he wont come back.

He grabbed his coat and phone before walking out of his apartment.

He walked slowly as his mind began to wander.
The park in front of him welcomed his broken soul.

His eyes landed on a man.
Broad shaking shoulders, full lips, and light brown hair. His face was shinning, clear tears were rolling down his face. He looked handsome and absolutely breath taking under the light post.

Normally, Yoongi wouldn't care and would turn and find some other place to go, but something in him told him to go to the man.

'What the hell?' He thought as his legs moved almost by their own command toward the shaking figure.

For once the voices in his head calmed.
"Hey" he said carefully.

The man didn't look up.
His eyes were as lifeless as his had once been.
It was almost as though the man was in a trance.

Softly, Yoongi tapped his shoulder.
The man flinched at the touch and slowly looked up.

His breath hitched in his throat.
To him, Yoongi was incredibly handsome. Pale skin almost as light as the moon, shinning as the light reflected onto him. His dark hair falling perfectly on his forehead. Lips in a concerned frown. Eyes beautifully shaped and the color fitting him well. The stranger felt something in Yoongi's eyes. He felt his own pain in Yoongi's eyes.

They both examined each other and came to the same conclusion, 'he was beautiful'

"Oh, I'm sorry if I'm disturbing you" said the man quickly getting up to leave. "No, I was wondering if I could sit with you" replied Yoongi saddened by how the stranger had replied, almost as if it was said a million times.

The man sat back down and moved so Yoongi could sit. "I'm Min YoonGi" he said while looking up at the sky.

The moon was shinning brightly, it almost felt as though this was all just a dream. The scenery, the day, and the man.

"Min Yoongi..." whispered SeokJin almost inaudible. He felt his name roll off his tongue surprisingly easily, almost like he's used it before.

After his final little sniffle,
"I'm Kim SeokJin, it's nice to meet you Min Yoongi,"

Something about that name seemed familiar to Yoongi, though he didn't know why.

"Are you older than me?" SeokJin asked kindly while shifting his position to look at the sky.

"March 9th 1993" replied Yoongi.

"December 4th 1992"

"I'm your hyung!" exclaimed SeokJin happily.

Their conversation felt like the most natural thing.

"Why are you here hyung?" questioned Yoongi looking at how SeokJin reacts.

He also felt something when he looked into the others eyes. The same crying eyes. The same painful look. The same pain.

"My boyfriend said he'll pick me up here" smiled SeokJin.
A painful smile.

"When will he be coming?" asked Yoongi.

"He said at 8:30..." whispered Jin.

The realization hit Yoongi quickly.
Although, he didn't know how he should say it.

"I don't think he's coming hyung," Yoongi was careful not to say something absurd that it would hurt SeokJin.

"You've been here for 4 hours, it's cold, not to mention you're wearing thin clothing" continued Yoongi.

'Has it really been that long?' questioned SeokJin.

"Why are you here Yoongi?"
Seokjin tried changing the subject.

"I wanted to go for a walk"

"Why at midnight?"

Seokjin felt like a child asking, but he was intrigued by the black haired man that came into his life.

"Like you, I am waiting for someone" replied Yoongi.

SeokJin let out a soft laugh.

"They must be very lucky"

When SeokJin looked up however, he made eye contact with Yoongi. His smile faded.

"They're not coming, are they?..." he spoke gently, afraid of the glint in Yoongi's eyes. Afraid he would break the man infront of him.
He was right, Yoongi was like him.

"He's not"

A tear left Yoongi's eye before he aggressively wiped it.
Seokjin too let the tears he's been holding leave their cage, but unlike Yoongi, he let his fall.
He accepted it.
He knew his lover no longer loved him.

"Hey now don't cry, I won't know what to do" Yoongi softly rubbed his back as the other just let his tears fall.
Seokjin leaned into Yoongi's touch. The warmth made him want to stay there. He missed feeling warmth.
"We're both alike"

"Sadly, we are"

Yoongi would be lying if he said he wasn't uncomfortable. He just met the man, but he feels like they have a strong bond. So in a way, he felt right. This was the first time both Yoongi and SeokJin opened up so quickly.

"I've never done this" chuckled Yoongi.

"Who would?" Replied SeokJin.

"Two complete strangers, consoling each other. For all you know, I could be a serial killer" said Yoongi.

Suddenly, SeokJin felt self conscious.
'Wow brain, way to work now'

Feeling SeokJin shift awkwardly, Yoongi let's himself laugh fully.
'This guy finally realized'

"Yah! That's not funny!!" SeokJin began to laugh along.

"If it's not then why are you laughing too?!" Said Yoongi still laughing.

Seokjin annoyed pinched Yoongi's cheeks.

"Okay okay hyung that hurts!!!"

As soon as SeokJin let go, Yoongi started to laugh again.

Seokjin took the chance to admire smiling Yoongi. His gummy smile the complete opposite of the frown he had earlier. He loved his laugh.
He preferred happy and laughing Yoongi instead of sad and frowning Yoongi.

Yoongi finally calmed down and looked at SeokJin who was in a trance.
He felt a pang to his heart.

"Hyung?" He said and SeokJin's attention was taken my Yoongi immediately.

Smiling shyly, SeokJin asked what Yoongi does for a living.

"I'm a music producer" answered Yoongi proudly.

"That's cool! I wanted to be a singer as a kid, but I grew up and entered the adult world, where dreams die" said SeokJin.

"Not if you hold onto that dream and do whatever you can as if your life depends in it" smiled Yoongi.

"You're right"

"I'm a pre school teacher" said SeokJin shyly.

"Oh that's nice, you seem like a kid type person" replied Yoongi.

"You don't" mocked SeokJin.

"That's because I'm not"

Suddenly, SeokJin's stomach started growling.
Yoongi couldn't help but laugh lightly at the red SeokJin.

"Let's get something to eat" suggested Yoongi standing up.

"I know a couple restaurants open at night" beamed SeokJin smiling widely. YoonGi could swear he saw the older's  eyes sparkle.

"Let's go" Yoongi smiled while holding out his hand. SeokJin hesitated but took Yoongi's hand.

It wasn't long until they got to a restaurant.

Yoongi let go of SeokJin's hand to open the door. SeokJin being his adorable self, missed the warmth.

Yoongi saw a pair of girls chatting together suddenly glue their eyes on SeokJin.
He walked up behind SeokJin and threw his arm around his shoulders, although it was a bit difficult due to the height difference. He also noticed a man trying to hide behind his phone. He wondered if this was the usual attention SeokJin would attract.

"A table for o- two. A table for two" said Yoongi. The words repeated in his head. It was the first time he's said that in a long time.
He would either go out to eat with his brother and future brother in law.

His heart felt fluttery and his stomach felt fluffy
'Wait isn't it the other way around?'

They sat down and ordered drinks. "Thank you, Yoongi"
"No need"
Yoongi smiled softly as his hyung sat like a kid waiting for food.

The food arrived and SeokJin quickly dug in. Soft squeals and noises were heard as SeokJin ate happily.

Yoongi found himself staring, half disbelieving and half admiring. Mainly admiring.
Seokjin looked so innocent and too pure for this world.

Seokjin must've felt someone staring as he slowly came back down to earth and looked up. Yoongi smiled again and began to eat himself.

"Do you have any family in Seoul?" asked SeokJin.

"Only my brother"

"I have a brother too!"

"Really now, what's he like?"

"He's super cute and has the cutest smile! He's super handsome too!!but he's a bit of a trouble maker and prankster"
Seokjin began to compliment his brother.

Yoongi admired how SeokJin could speak so lovingly about someone.

It was something he could so all day long.

Seokjin stopped when he saw the frown come upon Yoongi's mouth.

"I'm sorry if I annoyed you with my blabbering. I got carried away. I won't do it again!" SeokJin said slightly bowing his head.

"No no, I just remembered something. You're not annoying, on the contrary, I find your stories quite fun and interesting" replied Yoongi showing off his gummy smile. SeokJin nodded, but didn't fully believe Yoongi, since he was always told his stories were boring or childish.

They found out they went to the same high school and were even in the same friend group, but lost connection after their third year in college.

"That's why you seemed familar!" gasped SeokJin. Yoongi chuckled at the older's response.

"Sorry we never really did get to talk much one on one..." said Yoongi looking regretful. He wasn't very close to SeokJin, but he was close enough that he could have maybe given him his number before time and life split them apart, but he didn't.

"No, what matters is we found each other again" smiled SeokJin.

After finishing his meal, SeokJin pulled out his wallet, but was quickly surprised when a hand snatched it away. "I'm paying" was all Yoongi said before the waiter took Yoongi's card away.

"I'll pay you back!" requested seokjin.

"No, I invited, so I pay"

"No, my stomach did. I should be the one paying"

Yoongi laughed lightly at SeokJin's reply.

'why have I laughed so much?' questioned Yoongi.

"Here, It's cold outside" says Yoongi offering his coat to Seokjin.

"No, I couldn't! After you treating me and not to mention it's cold out there!" countered SeokJin

"Yeah, that's why you should take it, now here"

SeokJin gave in and slipped the coat on. It was warm and it had a soft smell of coffee and mint.

Yoongi received his card and they walked out of the restaurant.

"Do you want me to walk you home?" suggested Yoongi.

Truthfully, Yoongi wasn't ready to go back to his empty apartment yet. He was scared his demons would attack him full force as soon as he entered and his smell attached itself onto him.

"Are you sure?"

"If I didn't want to, why would I have asked?" smirked Yoongi.

Seokjin smiled and lead the way towards his apartment.

"Hey, do you like movies?" Seokjin asked wondering if he could spend a little more time with Yoongi. Just a little more time.

"Yeah, why? planning on inviting me to join you?" replied Yoongi

"Duh, if I wasn't, why would I mention it?" smirked Seokjin.

It was Yoongi's turn to smile.

Unlocking the door, Seokjin heard something he did not want to hear. He froze, held his breath, and silently prayed that the sound of  which was coming from his apartment was not what he thought he heard. Yoongi, on the other hand, knew that no matter how much Seokjin prayed, it would not change what was on the other side of the door. SeokJin knew in his heart, his lover had been doing this constantly behind his back.

Tiredness as well as sleepiness began to fill Seokjin.

He's grown tired.

Tired of those nights he found random shirts that clearly did not fit him or his lover laying around in their shared bedroom.

He was done.

This embarrassment in front of his new found friend, he would not tolerate.

He gripped the door knob and threw it open.

Yoongi understood what was happening. He felt upset and angry. It was clear this person, who ever it may be, was the cause of the emotional state Seokjin had been in. They were the reason Seokjin lacked confidence. They were the reason Seokjin was sad. They were the reason, Yoongi knew what he had to do.

Nevertheless, nothing could prepare Yoongi for what more like who he was about to see.

SeokJin grabbed a coat from the racket next to the door and walked towards the sound. He walked with confidence and Yoongi couldn't help but awe at the elders determination. Yoongi knew Seokjin was scared. So, he did something he never thought he would do. He took SeokJin's hand in his and gave it a light squeeze.

SeokJin slammed his bedrooms door open revealing two wide eyed figures scrambling to cover themselves.

Seokjin threw the coat he had grabbed at his now ex-boyfriend.

"Babe, It's not what it looks like! I promise! I can explain"

Yoongi's eyes were fixed on the man next to the man making up excuses.

It was none other than him.

'could this be God's way of telling me to move on?'  So many thoughts were rushing through his head he couldn't process the yelling around him.

He stared back. His eyes were horrified.

"Yoongi-ah, what are you doing here love?" his voice trembled.

Yoongi was about to reply until he heard the other man yell in frustration.

"Why are you wearing that coat? Who bought that for you?! Who is he?!Are you cheating on me babe?!" he yelled.

"This is his coat, He has a name, and No Namjoon, you cheated on me. Don't you dare try to play victim. I put up with you for years. I always had a feeling you were doing this. I'm done. It's over. No more." replied Seokjin smiling.

"NO! You belong to me, only me. Don't you remember?! All those fun times together?" his voice softened and he began to sob.

"I do not belong to you anymore. I stopped belonging to you when you two began to see each other" pointed Seokjin.

Seokjin began shaking slightly, he looked at the man next to his now ex lover. He was handsome and cute. Of course Namjoon would pick him over Seokjin. He was everything SeokJin was not, anyone would pick him, or so he thought.

"We're leaving, SeokJin where are your clothing?" asked Yoongi making his way towards the closet. There was a luggage bag next to his clothing.

'It looks like he was planning on leaving anyway'

Yoongi quickly grabbed as much as he could, and of course took all of seokjin's plushes and mario toys. He smiled slightly looking at how cutely the older had organized everything.

Yoongi walked out of the closet to enter an incredibly dense room. Seokjin couldn't look at the two men behind him. Namjoon had started to get dressed.

"Yoongi-ah...I'm sorry you had to see me like this" he spoke.

"Don't apologize, This is the life you chose Jimin. I see you moved on without problem." said Yoongi coldly.

"Can we start over?" Jimin asked.

"No, that's in the past. We're in the past." replied Yoongi while talking SeokJin's hand in his.

SeokJin held onto his hand tightly,

Their backs towards the two men.

" Stay healthy"

"Goodbye, Namjoon"

"Goodbye, Jimin"
