After years of abuse and torture, Park Bom finally sets out on her own,, trying to find out what it really means to have a life. From a young age, Bom was beaten and neglected, and was alone in the world. However, she always kept a positive attitude on the outside, not letting her true feelings show. After running away from her psycotic father, she landed into her aunts care. Her aunt however sent her from her Japanese home away to Korea in order to stay safe.  

 Trying to start out new with nothing holding her back, Bom leaves her past behind and encounters love, friendship and more tears along the way. However, she will never be able to move forward without confronting her past, she will never be able to forget due to the butterfly. The butterfly that is carved into her skin on her back. It will never heal along with her wounds both physically and emotionally.
