must go on polished shoes, branded goods, and hair dipped in generous amounts of overpriced wax was a rather routinely morning for the ceo of monster inc. he snatched a set of keys from the blinding bench tops, (probably polished in gold), humming an upbeat tune to the latest pop hits he overheard on typical, americanised radios.
the doors to his imported, jet-black vehicle opens for him with a single click of a button, showcasing his high-end lifestyle. (what a show off.)
the first thing he does on this rather serene morning was to press on the radio without a single doubt, wincing (and half-screaming his heart out) when the volume turns out to be six times louder than it should have been.
he sighs when he realises that one of his employees had probably taken advantage of his weak heart when they practically begged him for 'one last drive' before they clocked out for the day.
(why are they getting paid for playing around in the ceo's expensive car is one of the many world mysteries.)
he exhales heavily a second time as he slipped on his non-prescriptions glasses and examines his complexion through the rear mirror. with a satisfied hum, the ceo begun his day with another timely mornings. "good morning joonmyeon," chanyeol addressed as the ceo stepped inside the interior of monster inc's architecture.
the male had been dressed rather stylishly with an autumn palette, from burnt oranges to crispy browns.
the sales director stalled for a little, pivoting on his feet as he tapped on the files seated on his right hand, bunched up like fat checks.
"your secretary called in sick today," chanyeol paused, eyes wandering around, searching for a reaction of some sort. "but don't fret, i've gotten you a replacement from my dep."
"oh don't worry princess!" joonmyeon laughs heartily, not quite picking up on the fact that chanyeol was a tad wiggly today. "i'll be fine without one."
chanyeol doesn't quite respond for a bit, nodding off into his swarm of thoughts before he resigned himself.
"i thought it'll be helpful, but anyway i've got to go hand some files over to the finance department."
the taller figure was about a step away when a hand actively pulled him back and his body jerked unexpectedly at the force.
"say hi to eggin for me," joonmyeon glances up with an overbearingly brilliant smile, eyes crinkling into half-moons as he patted chanyeol's shoulder twice in a rhythmical manner, laughing to himself as he headed off to his office.
chanyeol sighs as he loosens the tie around his neck slightly.
"i hope they're not going too far this year." joonmyeon's steps were light and airy as he breezed through the corridors, humming a softer tune compared to this morning. (most probably an old ballad from the seventies or something.)
he starts whistling as he hits the elevator and trades a gaze with the relations team leader.
"sunwoo! my good man!" joonmyeon cheers upon his arrival, adjusting his slightly tipsy glasses with a strategic push of his index finger.
"morning sir," sunwoo nods without another word, stepping out of the metal box in a leisurely manner.
just as he bypasses the ceo, a fleeting touch bestowed itself onto joonmyeon's back without the latter's notice. going about his day, joonmyeon sends sunwoo off with a basic blonde smile while whining about something along the lines of 'coming to the club meeting' and 'to respond to his messages once in a while'.
sunwoo snorts apathetically as he saunters off to a corner.
"hey ty boy!"
he froze.
ah . joonmyeon doesn't expect too much first thing on a monday morning. of course, it includes fully functioning staff with the ability to perform and complete their designated tasks skillfully and efficiently.
he doesn't quite know what to do when a ravishing figure sits on top of his secretary's desk, oozing out appeal with a wine shaded crop top and fishnets under her loose ripped jeans.
she noticed his presence in a jiffy, raising a hand up in a form of 'mannerly' greeting.
"sup, bossy ."
"about that rina--"
she shakes her head with clearly audible 'tsk(s)',
"i knew you had rocks for brains, but joonmyeon, i'm relatively offende
