Jeongyeon stays the nights, but never the mornings. She wakes up with the first strip of light, straightens the couch, putting the cushions back in place, then tiptoes to leave. Some days she leaves a note, some others she sends a text, as for the rest, Mina wouldn’t hear from her until she’s drunk, a mess, and in need for someone to spend the night with. 

Today is one of the days she doesn’t leave anything behind. Today is one of the days she walks home.

She kicks off her shoes, throwing her bag on the ground and her jacket on the nearest object, before she loudly shuts close the door. She’s so used to coming home to an empty apartment that the scene welcoming her makes her jump a little. 

Nayeon is sitting on the couch, face as pale as the whitewashed walls, hands trembling a little as she rubs her eyes sleepily. Jeongyeon stands at the doorway, staring at her as if the girl has grown a second head. She finally manages to utter a sorry , before walking off into her room. She hears Nayeon stutter to say something, then hurried footsteps, and then the sounds of gagging coming from the bathroom. Her body acts on its own, taking steps in the direction of the sound, before she stops, rolling her eyes, feeling her chest tighten at the thought of her girlfriend spending the night in the arms of someone else, getting wasted, having the time of her life.
